In this poignant portrait of a singular life, the architect Charles Bello reflects on a life built off the grid, among redwoods. Having built his home from the ground up, alongside his now-deceased and much-beloved wife, at 86, Bello is still driven by a desire to keep a small slice of the planet all his own. ‘A little piece of earth’ is a moving account of an architect’s twilight years, featuring sweeping shots of serene architecture and northern California’s scenic landscape.
