I also think if you bring Hield back for say vet minimum to 4 mill , He'll have a full training camp , He'll get to play Redick role playing with Embiid + Maxey from day 1 to build chemistry.
I feel like Nurse didnt know how to use him or put him in great situations to succeed once Embiid came back cuz he was more focused on implementing Embiid again.
If you dont resign Hield - it will be EXTREMELY hard to find another volume shooter with confidence of his caliber for ANYWHERE near what im imagining he might accept. If you look to replace him , you're probably easily paying 18 to 20 mill.
So I think its important to bring him back for an encore at a discount.
If say you spot start Hield + 6th man role from day 1 , Hield can do a lot better and be more efficient next season.
Like 15 to 16 ppg on 40% 3pt shooting.

Keep Buddy Payne Oubre and adding a another scorer
Considering continuity + chemistry reasons , I hope some number of these guys will resign for vet. Minimum ( or an exception ) Lowry , Batum , Payne , Hield , Roco , KJ , Dowtin , Bamba.
Id take all of them back if they're willing to sign minimum, although that may be unrealistic. Batum + Hield I'd be willing to split a smaller exception if available between the 2 , or for slightly more than minimum if after all major signings theres a lil extra cap space.
Melton + Oubre will definitely require more. Unless Lebron will sign for a 1+1 max , I dont want to sign any of the other older max players , Id rather them pull off a creative draft day trade - or sign & trade , but other than that just resign our own ( if healthy ) and keep options open rolling into the season. I believe the only big acquisitions will have to be through draft day trades moving picks , or sign & trades. Theres really nobody out there I'd want to hand a gigantic contract out to. Paul george is too old and injury prone , ditto for Ingram on being injury prone , & he doesnt compliment Maxey or Embiid - he'd simply be like having a younger Harris i feel , albeit slightly better scorer. Butler a big no as well , too old , injury prone , costs too much.
Only reason I'd sign Lebron is it likely only last 1 season , championship experience , & hes still an elite scorer & playmaker so he could draw attention & create well for everyone especially getting Maxey + Embiid easier shots.
Then next off-season he likely retires or comes off the books , & youre back at FA with roughly 50 -60 mill in cap space again with better FA options available next off-season.
Mos def would like buddy back of at all possible. This team needs continuity n high level role players just as much as the proverbial 3rd star... dunno if it's possible but I'd like to see Buddy, Cam, Batum, Kyle n Oubre all stay
No way Hield takes veteran's minimum.
Keep Buddy for a sign and trade to hopefully get Mikal Bridges and Dorian Finney Smith.

I’m sure it’s difficult for a buddy Hield to get good three-point shot looks when Joel Embiid is on the perimeter with him! you need Embiid to work more out of the post like what he did in game six were Hield scored 20 points in the quarter

Buddy is not as quick by far as JJ Redick
8 mil max. He’s not that good. Kings fans hated him and Indiana fans didn’t care that he was traded for no players. There were reports in the early part of last season when he didn’t get an extension from Indy that he wanted a bigger contract. I have a feeling the only way he comes back is with an overpay.
