Love it! I'm a great grandma. I started paint pouring in June of 2019. I think I need a 12 step program for paint pourers! My art teacher thinks I'm a mad scientist when she sees my art space! For me, it's the most fun art I've ever done. I always call it instant gratification!
Thank you Jane! It really is gratifying! I can work on a short series on my whole process that is easily digestible if you like. I already have a video on how I mix my paints with floetrol on my how to playlist! Have a wonderful day and happy painting!
I just got started with the acrylic pouring. I can't seem to get cells, I've tried every formula I've seen on TH-cam and still haven't been able to get anything bigger than tiny cells. What am I doing wrong? HELP!!!
@@carolynfarmer3910 Hi. Not knowing what brand paint you are using it's impossible to say why. I totally get your frustration, been there. It's all a matter of experimenting with brands. When all else fails, I do resort to silicone. I use Spot On treadmill oil and it works great.
From filled layered cup, to the spill out of the flip, to the spreading paint, the inside of the cup, the tilting....everything was a blessing to my eyeballs!
Hi J, Love it! The colors are my favorites. As you were creating it, it reminded me of Journey's album cover from Escape. I wanted to ask you what type/brand of torch are you using? Wondering what would happen if you did not use the torch what this same type of pour would look like?
He’s said before, after it dries he uses an archival varnish to protect the artwork and bring back the gorgeous wet shine look to it. I know other artists use an epoxy resin on theirs as well. It makes them look just as gorgeous as they do whey are wet, if not more so.
@Megan same!! I can totally love something right after I create it. And then the next day I’ll be like ‘meh’ I do Varnish which I use polycrylic and of course resin. That to me is time consuming & in my opinion difficult to master to get all the bubbles out.
@@bigtimetorifan Easiest way to rid resin of bubbles is a heat gun or torch. Just have to be very careful and quickly sorta swipe with a torch, or you could scorch the resin/canvas.
@@bigtimetorifan I have issues with my current resin too. I've also heard of people putting the resin side in a plastic cup and warm water in another container. Heating the resin helps sometimes. Obviously no microwave. I still get grief with this current resin, but between the warmth and torch it does give me less thab not doing both steps. If it continues, I would switch resins. Your climant and that product may be part of the issue. I know it's a constant pain/struggle. I hope you find a solution (or several if you have to) that work for you. Best of luck. 💙
Oh my gosh. I thought I was the ony one that looked in the cup and said 'wow!. This is beautiful. I love that you talk through your videos. So many people just play loud mudic. Yours is perfect.
It's very cool that you dream about things to paint. That's part of the creative process. I'm an author, and I dream about my books, so I get it. This is gorgeous! I'd love to see this in bright, warm colors. It would be so lovely.
Kind of an alien at first but actually to me, at first looked like a little jimi hendrix. Then you started to spin it and he disappeared and it became a beautiful lacey galaxy with so many cells. Loved it! Great job! You've got some talent!
Excellent choice of colors, perfect galaxy! You spoke about the minwax you used, please explain as your cells and lacing were incredible! Thank you. Pat
Those colors and the myriad of cells are beautiful.I love your channel because you are so relaxed and easy to watch and listen to. You make it all personal like we are the dearest of friends. Thank you.
Oh my goodness the end result of this one is amazing. When it started out I seen a jelly fish and at the end it was a turtle image. Absolutely beautiful.
When I'm at work, I'm constantly thinking of ways to paint. I did 2 today, one was an attempt at a tree and I just did it because I didn't want to lose paint. I also started using 91%alcohol and dish soap to get cells. The ideas never stop flowing!
Watched your pour today and your lives story it was verry touching may the lord be with you And keep watch over you, happyness will heal your soul as well as your body
I love the fascination this style of pouring inspires in me. I need to do this on metal sheet so it can be resin-ed afterwards to preserve that clear watery quality.
I truly enjoy watching and listening to u n ur creative energy. I just started pouring about 6 mo. Ago... Do mini flip cups with the colors fire,' balls of fire '!!!!
I am just beginning this method of art. I appreciate your videos and beautiful art. I am going by trial and error and your encouragement in your videos is what helped me through a couple of muddy messes I made. Thankyou

Love that you are inspired in your dreams. Connecting to higher self and subconscious mind. Awesome! So beautiful💙 love NC
You should start posting dried results too man cuz yes the colors are vibrant and beautiful when wet but how does it look once its dry

Very pretty. The lighter purple had the shape of an apple with the dark purple on the sides when you first lifted your cup. Very cool.
I love the colors you are using. They seem calm and soothing with metallic to add some drama.
It's the kind of work of art that keeps you looking at it for hours... I'm speechless....

Did you mix it in the paint or spray it on after pouring?
@ginatobin778 I put a couple drops in the paint, stir it, let it sit for a few minutes, stir again and pour.
