- Today we are doing an acrylic pouring flip cup galaxy! This is a great acrylic pour painting for beginners. Follow along with your favorite colors and create an amazing galaxy pour with me. I really love this small community and I wanted to do one of my favorite flip cup galaxy pours. The way the cells and colors flow out of the flip cup mesmerize me. Beautiful as always. I would love to have your skins(drips) for jewelry making. As a thank you I would give a matching necklace to a painting someone bought, I lost movement of my right hand and most bonehasbeen removed so I haven't painted for awhile but your work is inspiring me greatly to try again, I had a surgery in December to replace bone with tendons and trying to learn how to use my hand again and I'm very eager to try and replicate some of your work,love the colors. Thank You so very much for sharing your art ,it's not only beautiful to look at it has helped me heal in many ways.
You should start posting dried results too man cuz yes the colors are vibrant and beautiful when wet but how does it look once its dry
He’s said before, after it dries he uses an archival varnish to protect the artwork and bring back the gorgeous wet shine look to it. I know other artists use an epoxy resin on theirs as well. It makes them look just as gorgeous as they do whey are wet, if not more so.
@Megan same!! I can totally love something right after I create it. And then the next day I’ll be like ‘meh’ I do Varnish which I use polycrylic and of course resin. That to me is time consuming & in my opinion difficult to master to get all the bubbles out.
@@bigtimetorifan Easiest way to rid resin of bubbles is a heat gun or torch. Just have to be very careful and quickly sorta swipe with a torch, or you could scorch the resin/canvas.
@@Hellnogizmo i have both and nope. Never can get even 1/2 the bubbles out! Not sure what I’m doing wrong, i stir slow slow slow. …
@@bigtimetorifan I have issues with my current resin too. I've also heard of people putting the resin side in a plastic cup and warm water in another container. Heating the resin helps sometimes. Obviously no microwave. I still get grief with this current resin, but between the warmth and torch it does give me less thab not doing both steps. If it continues, I would switch resins. Your climant and that product may be part of the issue. I know it's a constant pain/struggle. I hope you find a solution (or several if you have to) that work for you. Best of luck. 💙

Love it! I'm a great grandma. I started paint pouring in June of 2019. I think I need a 12 step program for paint pourers! My art teacher thinks I'm a mad scientist when she sees my art space! For me, it's the most fun art I've ever done. I always call it instant gratification!

I just got started with the acrylic pouring. I can't seem to get cells, I've tried every formula I've seen on TH-cam and still haven't been able to get anything bigger than tiny cells. What am I doing wrong? HELP!!!
@@carolynfarmer3910 Hi. Not knowing what brand paint you are using it's impossible to say why. I totally get your frustration, been there. It's all a matter of experimenting with brands. When all else fails, I do resort to silicone. I use Spot On treadmill oil and it works great.

I think mine doesn’t turn out is I use one paint to 3 floetrol. What am I missing

Have a question for you: yesterday I was SO proud of a painting I made, it was stunning! -Today all the cells have kind of blurred out and become a mess.. 😔 What could I have done wrong? Do you think my paint was to thick? It certainly wasn’t thin, I can say that for sure. To MUCH paint?? Or can this happen if I add to much silicone? I would really appreciate if you could take the time to give me a hint ❤️
Have you ever tried centering a larger canvas UNDER the 12x12 and doing the spinning, lift up the finished 12x12 and working with the larger canvas under the first one, with a new center pour? It just seems the paint on the foil is so awesome I want it too. Lol and thank you. I love this.
From filled layered cup, to the spill out of the flip, to the spreading paint, the inside of the cup, the tilting....everything was a blessing to my eyeballs!
