My mates and i did a similar challenge last year, except we had different rules. Our rules, only boots ,a improvised back pack, a knife. We fished buy i can't remember if we allowed a gun or not. We were not allowed to wear clothes at all. We circumnavigated Namalsk and survived and at the end, to celebrate, we swam across to the ice cap and found a polar bear to hug. Lots and lots of fires ! 🇦🇺😎
You've got to do Namalsk again. It is brutal especially since you're being dropped in the south where there's little civilian loot spots for food and such. Maybe next time you try getting dropped near the east island. It's still going to be rough finding food but at least there's a few industrial spots to get/craft a knife (definitely the most important tool on Namalsk). Still a great video! And really showcases the sheer brutality of DayZ.
wow that first run you did was going so well until the wolves, in hindsight if you had made the fire outside the front door instead of the pit you guys would of lasted a lot longer as the cold was killing you both. Also you could of got on the table and locked the other 3 wolves in that shed. I'd really like to try this challenge!
@@FreshSpawns TIP: if you managed to skin a wolf and cook it's meat, you could use the warm meat to heaten your body a lot! warm meat keeps you really hot for a long time when put on your jacket or jeans!
After trying this challenge myself I can confirm its really not easy. I went into it thinking I was Bear Grylls but there are many layers to this challenge that you don't think about. You're basically guaranteed to get a blood infection no matter how lucky you get, which not only damages your health over time but also massively damages your stamina regeneration. Might not seem like a big deal but when you decide to move from one location to another and a pack of 6 wolves appear, having no buildings to hide in and having 0 stamina to run away from them makes it almost impossible to not die to them within 30 seconds because they just maul you to death. I tried the challenge from the same spawns that the fresh spawns used and on one run I made it to Norinsk, a huge industrial south of research centre, I thought it was gg because there was lots of loot so I headed up to research to try find some tetra pills and died on the way to wolves. I urge anyone who thinks this is easy to give it a try, its actually very humbling.

its a cool challenge, but the way its structured its all up to luck. i think if you want a solid chance at getting a run going while still making it almost impossible. 1 of you gets to keep a small stone for a knife. 1 knife will help at the start, but wont catapult yall forward. plus the stone knife wears out super fast. this is for namalsk.
it's pretty much impossible if you don't get shoes in the first 10 minutes, so i think you should add a feature where you guys can pick ONE item to go with. EXP: rag shoes, knife, bandage, jacket, rag gloves, food, gun with a mag but no bullets, or a mask

Guys could've even get out of the coast. I think a fair challenge could be start with at least some shoes. The blood infection gets you too early in the game. Is good too see more survival content. I mean, in general all you see out there is PVP aspect content. Even with RP.

You should do this again exactly the same but don’t get wet by swimming at the beginning. Just start on the shore in a random spot. That would give you more time and not make your temps and hunger go down so fast.
as a namalsk veteran with over 6k hours on the map, next episode position yourself so the water is behind you and run straight inland and you will find the stuff you need to survive it's your only chance
At the very least start next one still at south but with rag shoes and a stone knife. The boat loot was already very OP so it shouldnt be that hard. I mean, instead of a raincoat or fisher hat u guys were getting hunter coats and mili pants.
It's not the same on modded servers. They are too easy and you started with full food and drink. Wolves will go away if they cannot see you, just like zombies. You didn't finish disinfecting your wounds. It heals straight away if you do it enough.
You do it well guys! Nice content... ❤❤❤ For Playstation there is a server called FROSTBITE, where it is so much harder to survive... there you have shoes on, but its much colder and less loot! You find nearly nothing and needed something to cut with, ore you died... ❤

Do more of these. Namalsk is the most brutal map. Careful on the mountains, you can fall to your death just walking.

This is my favourite way to play DayZ. Struggling to survive with limited resources. I would appreciate more survival mechanisms in the game.
namalsk brings a whole new survival feel to the game. and there only needs to be 40 players per server.

I'm a nemalsk player and the cold effects must have been reduced on this server. You get frost bite very very quickly without anything covering you.
