Why is Chris Peters ignoring Cayden Lindstrom becoming a Duck. Why would Anaheim take a LD at three when their system is full of those type of guys. I don't see the Ducks taking a Russian player in the first round. Just a fun history lesson includes the Ducks having drafted either a center or Defensemen in 19 of the past twenty drafts. The Ducks in the first round haven't taken a Russian player since 2001. The most likely scenario which Chris Peters in passing mentioned is the Ducks drafting Cayden Lindstrom. He is the prototypical Center with the size and elite skill the Ducks covet. If you disagree then let me know. I've been a Ducks fan for thirty years and will be t the summer flock party after the draft.
Lindstrom is good, but issue is Ducks have too many top-6 level centers. We already have Carlsson and McTavish, not to mention Zegras (until he gets traded), and Cutter Gauthier who can play both wing and center. And you also have Nathan Gaucher developing in San Diego, also alot more young centers we drafted the last 3 years. Ducks should emphasize goal scoring wingers in my opinion. If I'm Verbeek I'm going Demidov or Sennecke at #3
I think people are blatantly ignoring Lindstrom because of his back injury? I’ve been a Ducks fan for a bit over 25 years. They need so much help, and a questionable coaching staff doesn’t give me much progression with their development. With that said I would go for Yakemchuk
The Ducks GM has only been employed for 2 drafts and he took a Russian with his 1st pick as GM so I'm not sure what you're on about, that said I don't think they're interested in Demidov.
Sorry but the Zegras trade rumors are not legitimate, the Ducks are definitely not looking to get rid of him. Some teams called Verbeek asking about him after Frank Seravalli offered some baseless speculation about Zegras on his crappy podcast. That's not to say he's untouchable, Verbeek will listen to offers like any good GM would but he's not actively shopping Zegras and never was.
I would love to see Washington trade picks 17+52+2025 2nd and move up to 10th or 11th and take Yakemchuk. Washington needs a future replacement for John Carlson and right now they don't have one in the organization.
Pretty convenient that he says he'll be back on the ice in 2 weeks. In other words, right after the draft is over and done with. 2 knee injuries in one season. Lindstrom with the back issues. I don't think either is worth the risk unless they're both willing to provide medical reports (that can be verified 100%).
@@LivingNed I understand. Heard and read the same reports. I'm still skeptical. It's not hard to prop up a player for a short period of time (steroid injections etc). So much at stake for draft position. Don't forget, he missed exactly 1/2 the season, then they tried to prop him up for the playoffs, but had to scratch him. In the games he did play, he struggled badly. I watched all the games. And only 2pts in 4 games. Combine exercises and light no-contact skating, are not a good indicator if he's healed. Again, unless he's willing to surrender all his medical reports, I'd pass. Too risky when there are other very good prospects out there. IMO.
Herniated lumbar disc? As a GM with picks 1-10 I wouldn’t risk it. I wouldn’t even consider him until later in the first round, but 11+ will have enough public relations cover in case the pick backfires.
@@dparis2172 I've heard herniated disc. No specifics beyond that. It's telling that he missed half his D season, and they tried to play him in the playoffs. He struggled and was a scratch. Feel bad for the kid. But business is business.
I’m glad I found your channel it is fantastic news for the up coming draft. People for get that John Gibson is also on the trade block

Dickinson to Ducks will happen

Awesome show
Kyle from chicago.. please take demidov
There was a team that thinks Demidov will be in the NHL at the end of 2024-25 season of his KHL season.

It doesn’t help that Seravalli is not considered a reliable source. How the hell that guy has a following is beyond me
Can someone answer: Is Igor Chernyshov at this combine in Florida?
He was there, but did not participate in all of the on-ice portion.

BIG YAK
The biggeest preoccupation should be the expansion of the war. Might not be allowed to leave Russia.
Levshunov is average sized at 6'13/4"
At 17 years old. He still has years to grow

lev turned 18 last october. he's one of the older prospects in the draft, no pun intended.

Word at the combine is Lindstrom has fully recovered and is back to working out.

Demidov is gonna be a hawk 100% can't wait
Were drafting Levshunov Buddy.😢
@Creatorfragments keep the faith brother, it's happening 💪
Way more defense than offensive skill in this draft. Be crazy not to take Demidov (with Kucherov comps!) with first pick and go defense later
If the hawks pass on demidov I still don’t see my ducks taking him. Let’s see what the hawks do I think he would be a good fit next to bedard.
Sure … you remember it’s the Hawks right?
Demidov will be a Habs 🔵⚪️🔴
He wont
Keep dreaming buddy
no shot
They will have to trade up, then maybe.
He wont. I would love it but. I have a feeling that they will have to take Iginla.
