How about a video on different rigs because different conditions?
Bucktail rig in a good drift and hi/low w/ sinker or spoon rig w/ sinker in an off direction drift, or too fast drift, etc...
Not a critique, just expanding success rates is challenging conditions inshore and offshore.
LOVE your work, learned a lot! But I have found recently, as you have suggested, that a change of rigs/ methods in challenging conditions is very effective!
Just went yesterday and got a couple but no keepers. From the shore still useing your jigging rod haha. Love it!

Awesome trip. We went out last weekend and must have caught 50 fluke but only one big enough to keep. I actually caught 4 double headers of fluke. We did a lot of moving but couldnt find bigger fish.

i have a question when you are jigging you jig fast do you hit the bottom every time you go up and down or just do that close to the bottom. I do it just a slow up and down and think your way is better obviously.

Awesome trip.
Bought an Accurist due to you fishing them for so long. First season fishing it the button would not pop back up after casting once i started reeling it. Had to completely gut it to spread the spring out more for the trigger mechanism.
Mine are a few years old. I lightly spray with fresh water after each use and oil the corners of the thumb bar at the first sign it's getting sticky. I'm amazed that froze and you still got it apart. They're not the greatest reels, but I like the flipping switch.

not to tell you what to do . but it would a good public service is to go west and do a catch and cook on the jumping carp, seeing as how online they are saying they taste good as COD or CATFISH in blind taste test !!!
