I made a story version of this. Prologue: SMB Mario is roaming through the Mushroom Kingdom, having a good day. When suddenly, he stumbles upon a mysterious block with an M on it. SMB Mario realizes the block is a portal. Curious, he goes inside it. Little does he know the crazy adventure that awaits him... The Fight: SMB Mario spawns on a sign that says the name of his game. He then gets hit by a turnip, which reveals to be SMB2 Mario who threw it, who is also on a sign that has the name of his game. Angry, SMB Mario fights back. It isn't long until SMB2 Mario throws a cherry bomb at SMB Mario, creating a shockwave that sends SMB Mario launching into the sky. SMB2 Mario then thinks and tries to figure out where he is. SMB Mario then hits SMB3 Mario, who has a Tanooki Tail on, flying around. The both of them then plummet back down. While SMB3 Mario safely flies down to his sign, SMB Mario roughly falls into his sign. SMB2 Mario is startled to see 2 Marios come back down. He then has a flash of determination, and picks up his whole sign and throws it at SMB Mario. Quickly thinking, SMB Mario dodges the sign. SMB2 Mario then realizes he isn't standing on any ground. He then falls. The Truce: SMB3 Mario then suggests reviving SMB2 Mario, since he feels bad for his death. SMB Mario agrees, and together, the 2 get off their signs and drop below. They then find themselves on an airship-like platform, along with SMB2 Mario's corpse. SMB3 Mario gives SMB2 Mario a mushroom, and suddenly, SMB2 Mario springs to life. The 3 then agree to a truce. The Newcomer: The trio is suddenly hit by a green shell. Curious, they turn around to see where the shell came from. They see SMW Mario who then equips a Fire Flower, and throws fireballs at the trio. The 3 Marios then run away with SMW Mario behind giving chase. SMB3 Mario then stops, uses a Super Star, and rams SMW Mario. SMW Mario wants to run, but it is too late. SMB3 Mario then trips as his temporary invisibility runs out. As soon as SMW Mario snaps out from shock, he realizes he's surrounded by the trio. But SMB3 Mario is then hit by a black fireball, transforming from Super Mario to Normal Mario. And then SMB2 Mario is dragged away by another Mario. SML Mario then drops down on SMW Mario, killing him. Then SML2 Mario kills SMB3 Mario with a fireball. SMB Mario turns around to see a crowd of other Marios on the other side, surrounding him. And the next thing SMB Mario knows, his 2 teammates are dead, and he's on his own. The Escape: Mario then makes a run for it, passes a large group of Marios, bounces off SMB from SMAS Mario, and goes back to his sign which is a portal that leads back to his world. SMB Mario then spawns back to his world. He flashes a smile, overmooned with relief. But then NSMB DS Mario spawns in from the block. -To Be Continued...(Hopefully)
