Like he’s been reaching towards this goal that has seemed so unattainable, that he’s been told is too impossible to achieve, his entire life, and he’s finally obtained the chance to get close to it, so close he could taste it, but as soon as he reaches his hand out, as soon as he just barely slides his fingers over it, it begins to dissipate in front of him, crumbling into a darkness he can’t get out of. His dream that he worked endlessly to reach, had turned into a nightmare that trapped him inside, and it felt so lonely. He loses himself, getting drunk on his sadness, his pain, his longing for something, anything else. Whoops that turned to a story real quick. Anywho, excuse me while I go cry out my sorrows for a minute. I’ve just made myself even sadder while listening to the song 😭😭😭. Apologies.
