This song has always been with me, I have sang it during my childhood, but as I grew older I only remember the part "Somebody loves me, answers my prayer" and then I use to sing it when my life was tough. I'm glad with myself as I have been trying to live my life as this beautiful song states. I do not conform to all the religious pious but the path of Jesus has always astound me and I believe in Him, as our Saviour. Do remember me in your prayers, always.
Babbie has always been one of my favorite singers..... I heard her many years ago, bought her cassettes....Yes, that long ago, then onto CD's.... I love her voice and she is annointed of God.
Indeed. His voice was almost identical to my grandfather's. Both of them could sing very low without sacrificing any musicality. In the video for "It's Alright" featuring Candy Hemphill Christmas, Rex actually hit the lowest F on the piano in the final chord.
I’m in love with my Savior and He’s in love with me, He is with me from day to day, what a friend is He, Watches over me while I sleep, hears me when I pray, I’m as happy as I can be, and I now can say: Refrain: Somebody loves me, answers my prayers, I love Somebody, I know He cares; Somebody tells me not to repine, That Somebody is Jesus, and I know He’s mine. You’ll be happy if you will let Jesus have His way, He has work for us all to do every passing day; Feed the hungry and cheer the sad, for the sinner pray; You’ll have joy that you never had, and you then can say: Then at last when our work is done, He will call us home To a mansion He has prepared, nevermore to roam; We’ll sit down by the riverside, cares all passed away, And with never a pain to bear, what a happy day

On this particular video and the corresponding CD, J.D. had at least one or two songs that heavily featured him already. While J.D. was without question the lowest bass singer among the Homecoming Friends, Rex Nelon had the smoothest and richest voice, and for that reason, he was the leader of the bass section for the videos while he was alive.
I love how Joy always knocks it out of the park. Rex singing Bass! Wes, Ann and Bonnie giving it all too!

What an amazing song and rex had such a great voice. I loved how he didn't have to be front and center but you could hear him over everyone

I love the song Somebody Loves Me!!!!
I’m in love with my Savior and He’s in love with me,

Watches over me while I sleep, hears me when I pray,
I’m as happy as I can be, and I now can say: Refrain:

I love Somebody, I know He cares;

That Somebody is Jesus, and I know He’s mine.

Feed the hungry and cheer the sad, for the sinner pray;
You’ll have joy that you never had, and you then can say:
Then at last when our work is done, He will call us home
To a mansion He has prepared, nevermore to roam;
We’ll sit down by the riverside, cares all passed away,
And with never a pain to bear, what a happy day
Be blessed Barry Murray. May God bless you for this time of praising him while writing down these words... I'm anointed 🙏

i love your singing, i pray he answers mine too.
JD sumner was sitting right there why didn't they give him a mic. woulda loved to hear the slide he would do at the end of this.
Sgt. Hartman rex nelon was an amazing bass. Not all songs call for such a deep voice as JD had
You should write Gaither and make your complaint to him. Gee's really how do you think we would know why they don't do some thing to your liking? LOL
