If this is the same aircraft, I have my fathers log book, he flew this aircraft Fleet 4755, twice on June 3rd and again on June 13th, 1941 in Stanley, Nova Scotia.
Mr. Reynolds, i'm just now reading your post. I'd love to have a copy of your dad's logbook entry with 4755. I still own it. I wasn't coming back from Oshkosh that day, but rather Blakesburg, Iowa.I'm at phillbragg@gmail.com. Take care.
Is the main landing gear on this aircraft now unsprung? (ie: the original long, soft oleos have been substituted with a fully rigid undercarriage for enhanced crosswind landing safety?)
Is that the 11 LT engine? I thought the fleet cowling covered the engine hub and left just the cilinder heads sticking out. How many engines were available for the fleet?
