I lost my sister and my niece for trying to teach my gay niece this same thing. They cursed me and haven't spoken to me in almost a year now. I pray for them daily 🙏🙏🙏 they believe that God destroyed Sodom bc of lack of love and not for the act of Same sex fornication. They believe that if you love the same sex you're fornicating with, then it's ok. I disputed that and they were very offended. I don't expect they'll ever speak to me again but I really hope they come to a better understanding of scripture instead of twisting it to fit their narrative.
The Message "Bible" teaches exactly what your sister and niece believe....it says something like..."all lust, not love." Yes, some churches are using this book as their "scripture."
The likelihood is that they ain't truly converted ! We should teach JESUS to the lost and mention sins in the world as GOD guides you.
YOU MAY want to speak against homosexuality to someone you're evangelizing who has been a victim of sexual harassment from someone their own gender or raped by someone their own gender....when they know GOD is against the mere rape AND the homosexual conduct they'll run to WHO is on their side.
To evangelize a homosexual maybe focus on other issues of life because ,just like drugs,there's a reason they were tempted and when they convert GOD HOLY SPIRIT gives clarity which you can tell them that if they ask you can say something along the line of "let GOD give you that clarity at HIS discretion so you act on it because it was from HIM and not because of what I have to say about it.."

You are not alone. My sister wants to be a priest, I showed her Titus and Timothy where the qualifications for an elder are clearly delineated... she blew up with me and there has been friction since. She does not respect the written Word of God... so sad for one of my own family.
On the one hand we have to declare the Truth… but we also need to find a way to do it in love because we are all sinners. Yet we need to REPENT and BELIEVE.

I like how you always use the Word to answer questions instead of just answering them with your own words. I have one of the few Pastors out there really teaching truth and he always says if someone has a question go to the Word of God and see what it says about it.
the word is written on our hearts , just because someone doesn't "quote " scripture doesn't make it unjust or non credible . i think people often times get to hung up on using scripture than listening to the holy spirit , he is the instructor teacher and comforter . this has been my experience at least , the devil can quote scripture better than any human
Amen. I agree, brother. I will not listen to a teacher unless he uses the word, and give teaching in direct context to the word of God. I also never listen to prideful and arrogant teachers, because they are full of pride, and they have a plank in their own eye. I just saw one yesterday he was telling people to repent of their sins while preaching on the street and he was arguing with people, and had way too much anger. That isn't being obedient to loving God and the lost, and he wasn't repenting of this or shamefully admitting to his wrongdoing on screen, so I didn't listen to him anymore. We are called to be loving in every way, even if we have a disagreement. We don't have to show overbearance just to get a point across, and doing so by arguing with anger is sin. People can say they're not angry whenever they're angry, but we can read what emotions they're feeling if we pay attention, and we can also see their error.
That's right, the best authority on the Bible is the Bible.
If you look at a woman with lust you've already committed adultery with her in your heart right? So going by this mentality isn't it also a sin for a man to have lustful thoughts after another man even though he didn't physically touch him?

And so is holding hate in your heart. Jesus is the only way to be saved and he can save you from all these sins.

The correct reading is if you look at a MARRIED woman with lust; if she isn't married, & you don't look at her with lust, how will she ever become your wife? Adultery literally means "wife stealing"; so, if she ISN'T a wife, you CAN'T commit adultery...only marriage, if you take & keep her.
This also doesn't mean you're must see all married woman as booger-wolf ugly, it isn't a sin to NOTICE beauty, just that you'd mustn't begin to entertain taking her for yourself, when she has a husband. This is why the scripture says, "let every man have HIS OWN wife and every woman HER OWN husband." 1 Cor 7:2
It's damaging to consciences how the AMERICAN Church keeps propagating this insinuation; I had to learn this from foreign Christians & a Lutheran Bishop of Nigeria, who came to the US in hopes of learning from us, only to find HE had to be our teacher. He learned later that many Christian pastors KNOW, but WILL NOT teach the truth about biblical marriage & sexuality, because they fear THEIR WIVES more than God.
Amen. God delivered me from the lifestyle. God can change our desires and attractions. Praise Jesus!

I know of a ex lesbian that didn't even like men at all, now he's married with a child.
In her church there are many different women that are pretty, or with alluring above average voluminous features or other in-shape because she works out etcetera(which would stumble a girl who may struggle with lesbian allurances)...yet this lady, if she hugs these sisters or any of her church WITHOUT GETTING HER OLD FEELINGS !!!!

Jesus did teach that if you lust after another in your heart you have committed sin.
When we lust it is sinful, and we need to confess it to God as sin, accepting His forgiveness and cleansing.
I think lust is temptation acted upon in the imagination of the heart.
Yes and HE clarifies that as a MAN looking at a WOMAN and lusting after her in his heart is SIN.... BUT man with MAN is different NOT SIN BUT AN ABOMINATION!

Yes, you can "be" gay and a faithful child of God. But "being" gay doesn't mean you have to be sexually active. Remember, any sexual ACTIVITY (not mere inclination) outside of marriage is sin. So, whether you're you're homosexual or heterosexual and not married, you may not be having sexual relations with anyone, even yourself. It's that simple, in principal. Of course, we all know the strong draw of human sexuality, but we all also have available to us the grace to be stronger than our sexual urges. In short: NO sexual relations at all, except with your spouse (who can only be of the opposite sex). Peace.

Agree. If truly born again the Holy Spirit will convict you when those thoughts and desires creep in. We are always at war with the flesh.
@@lm763 yes, god will operate in you making you feel worse and worse as you keep practicing sin. By truly born again it could also be said as truly accepting gods grace. What he said was you can’t be a practicing homosexual(or drunk or thief etc...) and be saved, but having urges is different. As the thought comes and goes that is one thing, but letting the seed take root and acting on it is when we serve satan.

I am so torn with this. My son is Gay. How am I not suppose to love him. I dont agree with his lifestyle but I tolerate it as my son. And now you're telling me that I'm no better because I have a relationship with him. Tears I have i love the Lord with my whole heart but your saying that that is a faults love
You treat it like any other thing your kid does is bad. You pray and try to convince them to stop while loving them still.

He didn't say that. He said accepting what they do is bad. You can love your child. Just don't act like what they do is okay. It's possible to love people, but not approve of what they do. That's what parenting is all about. You have to correct him. And no one is gay. People just want to be gay.

Good review, just missing one crucial component. Towards the end you said about being gay and a Christian "The desire yes, the act no..." To say that someone saved after being gay will never be tempted to the point of falling back, usually temporarily, into the sinful act, is completely unbiblical. Paul said "Such were some of you..." Then he says they are saved and covered by Jesus. The Bible says "He that says he is without sin is a liar." "If you break the least of the commandments you break the whole law." Paul describes in Romans 7 his continual struggle with his own sin and his flesh after being saved. Salvation is either Eph 2:8-9 by grace through faith and not of self, or it is completely by being sinless your whole life on your own and pure, which we know is not possible. Being saved is not by stopping to sin, as you pastor Mike pointed out wonderfully in your books and 4 part series on real repentance, which is not turning from sin. I agree with almost everything you say and put out, but you cannot say a gay person who is saved and slips back into sin, is not saved. That would be like saying a hater, lustful person, thief, coveter, jealous person, liar, and so on can never sin again once saved. Nobody condones Christians sinning, but to say they stop sinning after salvation and select out certain ones, is just as heretical as to say we are saved by our works or the avoidance of sinning. This is complete legalism. Most of your video was spot on, except this claim towards the end. As a born again Christian, I can admit whole heartedly that since trusting Jesus at age 11, I fell back into sin during a few short teenage years...problems with girls, stealing, lust, hatred, jealousy and so on...but I was so convicted when alone with God. And the Holy Spirit never quit on me, because I was His child and He never lets go, see the Corinthian letters where Paul calls them saved yet they were living in sexual sin! And when I was 19 I turned back to Jesus and have been living as a Christ follower these last 30+ years, but not without the slips and falls here and there. His grace saved me, sustains me, and pulls me back into fellowship if I stray. I am a Bible teacher and leader, have two sons that are pastors, and 7 children that are saved. I do not condone continual sin in any Christian, but I am also not a fruit or sin avoidance inspector. Of course I will always be cautious with anyone living in certain sins, but I will no judge their soul as to whether they trusted Jesus or not. Was King David not saved when he fell into murder and adultery? Of course he was saved, just backslidden. I will press the sinner, give the Gospel as the Bible lays it out, Paul lays that out in 1 Cor 15, Jesus the Christ died for our sins, died, and was raised back to life...then I will try and help the person either come to BELIEVE the Gospel, or turn from that sin in repentance as a Christian. But let's not switch doctrines over a particular sin from Grace through Faith to sudden legalism and keeping the law, or at least one part. Otherwise pastor your teachings are usually pretty spot on. Blessings.
