3:30 Actually you can. When hovering over any contraband weapon, you can use the "preview" option to know how the weapon looks and the list of attachments.
BTW, I can not use my ensured weapons slot, because of a bug than sends me to DMZ with empty hands.

U can see what attachments are on guns in the contraband section, simply push triangle on a weapon on the stash, it has to be in the stash not equipped. Also like going in with insured slot and large backpack and upgrading adding attachments gunsmithing rpks 74us m4s and most of all kastovs.

Great tutorial thank you. I've been playing Warzone for 2 years and WZ 2 (DMZ) since it launched and I've not been able to work this stupid new gunsmith system out. It's so counterintuitive and buggy to boot. I really hope they change it out for something more like the old system.
it will probably change a few times... and once they finally figure it all out.. they just realize a new game and forget this system ever existed.. and we will have to go through it all again.. sadly haha

So if I find a weapon in dmz and extract with it I unlock it? Also what is the point of contraband weapons, u can’t do anything with them besides using it in another dmz game but you will lose it if u don’t extract with it, what should I do with contraband weapons, just save them or use them as soon as possible? What is the best use for the contraband weapons…u said if a friend drops a gun and u extract with it you unlock it, what about if I take AI weapon and extract with it do I also unlock it?
They need to get rid of the cool down time
thats kind of the point of the mode currently haha its to force you to go in with different loadouts.. or no weapon at all... and then work your way up to what is currently "max loot". thats the basic premise for an extraction mode. you keep what you kill, but the insured weapon and the cool down gives you an incentive to grind out missions and money. gives the mode a purpose.

And also because of that storing money from match having sense, in 20 minutes you can short your time event by 80 mins that makes -100mins

Hi, I know you said that contraband weapons cannot be insured. A friend of mine passed me his RPK blueprint (he got it by retrieving the briefcase and exfiling). I have it but it appears as a contraband weapon. It isn't unlocked as a blueprint or proyect. Is there a way to transform this weapon into a normal one so I can see it in my armory? Or I will have to do the briefcase mission?
He basically just gave you a weapon with a skin on it. Whenever you get a weapon from someone else by either killing them or them dropping it.. it turns Into a contraband weapon. You can unlock the base version of a weapon by taking it out of the game... but you cannot unlock the blueprint that way. Hope this makes sense
@@OrdinarySense makes sense. So that means that when unlocking the M13B one would only unlock the base weapon as you will be exfiling with the gun and not the blueprint itself. One would have it just as a contraband weapon and owning only the base form. I heard though that if you leveled up the M13 to it's max level, you could equip the hazard skin. Sounds kinda fake. If it's not a problem could you please confirm it? The skin is beautiful ❤️ and thank you for answering me too ☺️
I have a question: being playing DMZ for a month so I’m new..Once I was playing and killed a player, I took his weapon, a nice Red~Black coloured fancy ISO HEMLOCK.
I though I will loose it when I died the next match but when I went back to my menu I found it in the INSURED SLOT 1.
Now based on this video you cannot keep other players “special” weapon nor contraband ones as INSURED slot.
How did it happen that I can ALWAYS use this weapon ?
P.S No matter if I Die or other players take it I will still always be able to use this ISO HEMLOCK FULLY ATTACHED in every DMZ mission..

2 questions. How do you have 20 contraband slots. I only have 10 and also the insured weapon does not work for me, I tried doing what you did, have used several different guns and I can not add attachments to any gun, I reset all of my settings back to original and it still isn't working. I get a really fast connecting to Xbox network and fetching online profile and it then goes back to the deploy screen, it is so fast I had to record it and then slow it down.
That's exactly what mine is doing on PS4. I even bought the game package, waited 7 hours for it to download, was all excited to see it finally downloaded just to be bummed out that that didn't fix the issue either.
My first insured slot is recovering and it won’t let me equip the weapon from my second insured slot. Is there a way I can fix it?

So weapons I unlocked in rewards in dmz don't always show In my multiplayer weapons

nah you do not lose blueprints or base weapons. your insured slot will simply go on cooldown :)

Don't insert with a weapon in your backpack you might have trouble finding it

No. Other mods you can use whatever weapons you want. In dmz you can only use contraband weapons or your 1 single insured weapon. If you lose or drop your insured weapon it goes on cooldown... and you can only use contraband weapons you have in your stash or weapons that the ai bots drop in a game of dmz
So when I extract with a weapon I find it automatically puts it in the contraband? OR do I need to unequipped or swap to save them? I believe I hit swap before the last game and when I picked a different weapon then went back in the the contraband stash I did not see the gun I swapped. I think something is wrong … I also have a paid version and have 5 of 20 in the stash. Thanks for the help.
when you bring out a weapon you simply unequip it and it will go into your stash automatically. Unless your stash is full, in that case it will ask you if you want to delete the weapon

I think you should spawn with a 3 plate armour vest...it sucks getting killed by AI in the first few minutes because your so vulnerable.
You should be able to extract with spare sets

the contraband weapons? no you cannot. the "insured slot" basically just allows you to use a custom weapon like MP.
It would be cool if they made it so when you extract with an insured weapon it gets added to your contraband

So you can use your own loadout more than once if you die
Because there’s a cool down timer if you die with it
thats kind of the point of the mode. you earn money to reduce the timer. either exfil with the money or use the dead drops to put money in regardless of whether or not you die. also by completing the quests you gain the ability to get 2 extra insured slots, so you can use insured weapons more often.
Or, you can drop your insured weapon to a teammate and have them drop theirs for you. they will be considered contraband

Tbf 3 insured slots would sweet but you’ve got to complete all factions for that which will take forever

Just gone. You would only do it to make space for other potentially better weapons

Unequip it to store it in your stash. How unequip, just hover over the weapon on the weapon screen after you extract
Warzone 2.0 weapons are a little bit weird, I bought the weapon bundle (executive warfighter) but it has a recovery time after I used the insured slot. It's useless lol
insured slot will always heve recovery time if you do not exfil with it i game.

i believe you have to purchase MW2 base multiplayer game. you get 20 instead of 10 stash slots
So if I killed another player, took his weapon and extracted with it. It is now in my contraband . Does that mean I unlocked the base model of that specific weapon?

Does not allow you to take your weapon with modules, no matter how many of them, it just transfers to the dmz menu

Guys i got an idea 💡, what if you use low level contraband and just use. It to get s better guy in DMZ
100%. that why whenever you get a medium or large backpack and you extract, you should be putting an extra gun inside of it. also.. only load in with 1 gun and pick up others from bots.. and then player sor high level areas as the mission goes on
When you explained about destroying weapons you did it wrong you didn't specify witsch one and instead of clicking it on R you just accepted so that's not random and I only started playing today how didn't you notest that up to level 69

the point of the gamemode is to unlock blueprints, weapons, and various other customization options for the other modes... if you play multiple. The game to game "loot" is self contained inside DMZ

Timer for weapons is stupid for that mode.
It's kind of the point of the mode haha it's an extraction game. If you always had a fully kitted out loady gun... why would any other weapons ever matter? Adds to the mode

yes, but you can get more from quests, looting, killing Ai, and killing other players
You can actually keep 12 contraband weapons now.
12 if you want to use a backpack slot to swap quests freely... but you can hold more than that as well. Although it blocks swapping quests freely
