I have recently completed my engineering degree, and currently, my monthly salary is significantly higher than the one mentioned video for fresh graduates. While it is true that the initial salary after pursuing an MBA may not be as lucrative, there is a possibility that even graduates from the top 3 colleges may earn less than what I currently earn. However, it's important to note that salary is not the sole determining factor when considering an MBA. The major point that seems to have been missed is the long-term benefits associated with obtaining an MBA.
Looking ahead, around 10 years down the line, the salary jump for MBA graduates can be extraordinary, and this is where the true value of an MBA becomes evident. While it's essential to acknowledge the negative aspects and flaws of focusing solely on the CTC (Cost to Company) aspect, it is equally crucial to address other significant factors. Pursuing an MBA should not be based solely on the basis of salary. The long-term advantages should also be taken into account.
This video has the potential to influence individuals who are contemplating whether to pursue an MBA by shedding light on these long-term benefits and encouraging a more comprehensive evaluation of the decision.

Great video brother 💯. Few things to add in this. If we are talking about 40-30 lakhs salary then that will be given in a tier 1 or metro politan city, like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi Ncr etc. These city has the highest monthly rent+ they overall have a high cost of living+ traveling from 1 place to another take a lot of time and it gets a bit hectic, etc. So considering this, we can bring the in hand salary slightly down

    Me with
    10th - 90+
    12th - 90+
    Tier 1 graduation - 85+ (Top 5%)
~40 Lakh Compensation in top tier tech (1 year work ex).
After all this I am planning for an MBA if not IIM maybe abroad.
    Then why an MBA?
MBAs have faster career trajectory compared to folks with hard skills, most of the time onus of success or failure of a project is on them hence high risk high reward positions. These skills are much more transferable compared to lets say working for google as an SDE where you might use many internal tools to do your job on the daily basis, overtime you would be a great asset to the company but you would diverge a lot from what it takes to build things from ground up.
MBAs have wider exit opportunities compared to a person with pure hard skills in some niche domain, at a very young age folks might be quick at picking new skills up but as people age they might observe many decisions are experience and data driven. Catching up on tech related trend is a lot harder and one needs to be swift enough to catch them up, opportunities present themselves but one must be in a position to take benefit out of it. MBA prepares and gives these opportunities, underlying tech in any business might change but making money remains at the core of it and to do that business requires people with business acumen to make a business org. (Exit opportunities)
Profiles like SDEs, Engineers etc have an upper cap on the org hierarchies someone can rise. Most careers are saturated at Senior engineers ( SDE-2/3 Engineer 2/3/4) which happens around 6 years of experience. To move past that one must showcase exceptional skills, and it gets tougher after each level. If I compare it with MBB or Consulting Post MBA someone with highest rating every year can become Junior partner in 7-8 years, and partner by mid or late 30s.
Salary should never be the only parameter to judge an MBA degree, its value lies in long term; be it in terms of network, skills (business building and management).
    A thought experiment:
Suppose you start with 12 LPA salary and work for 5 years to gain experience in business management, after 5 years you take an exit as business head of a series A/B funded startup. You get 0.1-0.5% of the company in ESOPS, and this startup scales to 1 billion dollar in size. You would make 1 million dollar on this trade (give or take). This startup could be in any space viz tech, non tech, ship building etc. This is how people make money in corporate, you might earn an equivalent of 10-12 years in 1 single year if you rise enough. (Compensation structure in corporates is not linear)
