Glad to see you back Dariush! I need to try many of the ones you featured in this video. I fell in love with Sables since Max mentioned it in one of your collaborations I had the opportunity to find a first formulation and I bought it, what a beautiful fragrance just as you describe it, and the maple syrup I get from it mmmm. Thanks for the list, and look forward for the interviews!!!

Hello, hello Mr. Alavi, great to have you back. What a wonderful escape this was from the utter chaos created by hurricane Ida and its aftermath, here in New Orleans. I happened to be here (on business) for the entire thing, and can now say I have lived through the devastation 150 mph winds/rain can leave behind! But watching your video on my phone (there's still no power/wi-fi in many places), helped me cope w/ the ensuing PTSD, I am certain. How about a review of Diptyque's new Le Grand Tour collection, particularly Kyoto at some point?! Great work, as always.

greetings! to the viewer who commented about Cartier's Oud & Santal: although this series (Les Heures Voyageuses by nose Mathilde Laurent) finds its new/annual releases in only a 75ml bottle, the first five (which includes the aforementioned fragrance) were released in both 75ml and 45ml. I'm confident that the latter remains readily available; and if you're able, Duty Free at London Heathrow has many in the series wildly discounted. this is one of the few series that I own and collect in its entirety. I do apologize for gushing, but I adore almost all things 'oud' - from the gorgeous barnyard stench of many natural ouds to the screechiness of some synthetics. many thanks to you, Persolaise, for continuing to bring light to so much of that which illuminates and beautifies my small corner of the world.

It was a recent discovery of mine and was taken by it at first sniff. Wow didn't know they came in 45 mls too. I have yet to try oud & oud as I hear nothing but great things about it. Thanks for sharing and yes so happy that Persolaise is back with a wonderful autumn list. Thank you!

@@jinomoreto4677 if you're truly looking to enjoy multiple ouds from this Cartier series, but do not wish to invest in full-size bottles; please consider hunting-down either the 3x15ml or 5x15ml sets in lovely miniatures. the latter cost me about $410 directly from a Cartier boutique.

So nice to watch your video after a break! Three of my favourite perfumes - Botanical Essence No. 15, Xandria by Ormonde Jayne and Omnia Crystalline - all have gaiac in the base, so I got all excited when you mentioned Gaiac 10, then looked at the Le Labo website and decided I'd rather keep both of my kidneys. Those I definitely need to try are the Chanel, because it sounds right up my street, and Rouge, which could be interesting, although I think I'd rather eat barszcz than smell like it.
If you haven't tried Xandria, do - it has an apple note, perfect for the autumn.

Great list .. i keep missing the live streams but watching it afterwards is just as fulfilling. I bought a few vintage fragrences recently i plan on wearing heavily this fall. I bought a vintage chanel cuir de russie pre barcode EDT.. i dont like the EDP and paid big money to have the discontinued EDT buts its well worth it. Also purchased a matte black cap version of musc ravageur with that musc note that just tickles the nose so much more than the current formulation.. just a little more dank and animalic. I also have a vintage bottle of sables when it was annick goutal and had that gold cap that feels like it cost less than a penny to manufacture and i Love Love Love that fragrence. I consider it a hidden gem and when people talk about it i cringe because i dont want word to get out lol. Although i havent smelled the new formulation so i cant speak on that but if its anything like the vintage it is glorious! Glad to see you back in the saddle.

Hi Persolaise. Loving this 'back after summer break' Geek affaire. I'm laughing 😂 because I too can't switch off my geek brain 🧠. It's our pleasure, passion, gift... However annoying to family & friends when we do what my sisters call TMI. (Too much info) Your loyal fans love that quality in your presentations. Others can "move along" smartly.
I too am intrigued by Santal Basmati... Thanks for underpinning your video with descriptive words, without which I never would have pictured the spelling of Dzonga from the pronunciation...
