Today we time-travel back to the heat of the 80s, when the two superpowers were at the peak of escalation. This is a clash between NATO and its lead country USA against the Soviet Union. We try simulating the outcome and consequences on ground level. Soviet European conquest would have been led by the assault of massive armored doctrine tactics, in Germany, Fulda Gap. This is a realistic map called Neuhof, just a couple of miles away from the town of Fulda. This was a time when the US Army just received their brand new batch equipment like M1 Abrams and M2 Bradley with high-end military technologies like thermal sights. In fact, it was something so big, that even their opponent's most advanced tanks, like the T-80B, did not have such features till the mid-late 80s however the raw firepower and armor thickness was in their favor. This cinematic was 1v1 turn-based gameplay, against one of the brightest tactical minds out there - RobZ. We tried to simulate this as well as this simulation game allows, with the biggest scale possible. Clearly, American troops were going to get outnumbered but their technological side was their strength.

Yikes finally a visual of sorts of what it might have looked like had it been real....8th INfantry Veteran out of Baumholder, where the largest concentration of combat ready troops outside of CONUS were--Mechanized Infantry with Artillery, Armor, Helicopters--every Alert the entire Division, among others of course, headed to the Fulda Gap, hoping it was never real and never knowing until about the time you arrived. We were never expect to survive--were just a stop gap until troops from CONUS could arrive. Was also expected Tactical Nukes would be used on both sides.
This battle turned out to be interested and intense very much incredible I loved it it was a absolute beast battle what a blast how long did it take you to make this ❤

Since the Warsaw Pact Forces have captured the Fulda Gap at great cost to their own, it seems likely that they will defend their gains at all costs. Below are the Possible Forces Composition that I think might be Deployed to the Area until the Warsaw Pact Forces are able to make good on a possible push for Frankfurt.
• 2 Tankovy Battalions of at least 12 T-72B2's and 1 with 8 T-80's
• 3 BMP-2 Motor Rifle Battalions, Each with 3 Companies, Each Company with a 3 man Command Team, two 6 man PKM LMG Teams, nine 2 Man RPG-7 Anti-Tank teams, a 6 Man SA-14 Gremlin Anti-Aircraft Missile Team, ten 4 Man AK-74 Assault Rifle Teams and at least 5 BMP-2's for Support
• 3 Motor Rifle Heavy Weapons each with a 6 Man AGS-17 Grenade Launcher Team and two 6 Man AT-4 Spigot Missile Teams
• 3 Platoons of 3 Storm Anti-Tank Tractors
• 2 Anti-Aircraft Platoons with 2 ZSU-23-4 Shilka's and 1 with 2 2S6 Tunguska's
• Air Support from the Aging Sukhoi SU-7 Fighter-Bombers and the Currently Operational Testing SU-25 "Frogfoot" Ground Attack Aircraft
But the NATO Forces won't let the Victory Stand as long as The Soviet Threat remains abound, and while the Armored Cavalry Regiments, Armored and Infantry Divisions are Licking their wounds, The British Royal Army and Air Force in the Region as well as The West German Army and Air Force are Ready to come in and Push the Soviets back into their Occupation zone, to say the least anyways. Below are the Forces Deployed to Retake the Town of Fulda and the Surrounding area.
British Army on the Rhine:
• 1 Armoured Regiment of Chieftain Tanks (Regimental HQ of 6-8 Tanks, 3 Squadrons or Companies of 18) and an Armored Brigade of Centurion Mk. V's (3 Regiments)
• 3 FV 234 Mechanized Companies each with a 3 man Command Team, Six 4 Man Carl Gustav Anti-Tank Teams, Two 2 Man 2 in. Mortar Teams, Two 3 man SF GPMG Teams, Eight 4 Man L1A1 SLR (Slow Loading Rifle) with 66mm AT weapons and at least 5 FV 234's for Transport
• 1 Armoured Reconnaissance Regiment with 1 Squadron of 18 Scorpions, 1 Squadron of 18 Scimitars and 1 Squadron of a 50/50 Mix of the Two Vehicles
• 4 Batteries of 4 FV 433 Abbot 105mm Self-Propelled Howitzers
• 4 Anti-Aircraft Batteries with 3 Chieftain Marksman Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Guns
• Air Support from The Royal Air Force with Westland Lynx HELARM Helicopters and Hawker-Siddley Harrier's for Close Support
West German Army:
• 3 Leopard 1 Panzerkompanie (Tank Company) with 14 to 17 Leopard 1 Tanks
• 1 Panzergrenadier Kompanie (Panzergrenadier Company) with 3 Panzergrenadier Zugs (Platoons) each with a 3 Man Command G3 Rifle Team, a 2 man Carl Gustav Team, Three 4 man MG3 Teams, Three 2 Man MILAN Missile Teams and 4 Marder IFV's for Support
• 3 Platoons of 4 Kanonenjagdpanzer 90 mm's
• 1 Jager Zug (Hunter Platoon) with a 3 Man Command G3 Rifle Team, Three 4 man MG3 and G3 Teams and Two 2 Man MILAN Missile Teams
• 1 M113 Panzermörser Zug (Armored Mortar Platoon) with 3 M113 120mm Mortars

• Air Support from the Bundeluft (Cold War German Air Force) with BO-105P PAH Anti-Tank Helicopters and Panavia Tornado IDS GR 1 Fighter-Bombers/Reconnaissance Aircraft
Needless to say, Things are starting to heat up real quick in the Later stages of the Cold War. This video just shows how "Wargame: Red Dragon", "Red Alert 3", and "ArmA 3" could come together and make an Awesome battle simulation in "Men of War: Assault Squad 2" LMAO! Hope you like the Idea man, and I hope I didn't make you lose your eyesight. I spent about an hour typing this up as well as going back and forth between here and Team Yankee's Website for the Reference Material involved in making this. Glory to Raptoria, and I'll catch you in your next video man!

Totally unrealistic, tanks NEVER operate that close together, also the American tanks would not silhouette themselves on a ridge line. They would hull down in prepared positions done by engineers. Also the soviets would be using T-62, T-72 not the T-80. There would be a lot of Soviet turrets flying in the air, due to the fuel line design of Russian tanks. They crews jumping out would be cut to ribbons by shrapnel from artillery, bursting around them and machine gun rounds ect.
Btw i play conflict of nations and it's actually really good. That's all i wanted to say. plus it's free on phone and computer from what i know.

Soviet Doctrine was always "Quantity over Quality" but forgot this wasn't the 1940s anymore and would ultimately lose any war against NATO or the US itself. Poor logistics and its old army would suffer many losses.

This game emphasize heavily on simulation and realistic models so it should be correct tho I'm not an expert

@@warfare11gaming well the game clearly depicts a Bradley M3, (TOW rocket launcher) all though the Bradley was accepted for service in 1981, it didn't deploy until 1983, a year after this game is set, so not very accurate there

No. "Typical" setting was used. US troops were mainly, highly motivated and veteran skill while soviet troops had mainly regular skill
There wouldn't have been any M1's used in 1982. They didn't start using M1's till the mid 80's. Around 84-85. In 1982 the US main MBT was the M60 of different versions. The West Germans started using the Leopard 2 in 1979. The British had the challenger 1 in 1982. This doesn't mean they had a lot of them though. The West Germans would have mostly been using leopard 1's and the Brits would have been using Chieftains mostly as well. Not picking on your video just pointing out an inaccuracy.
