I think this is the most satisfying True End so far.. Congratulations for playing is nice and all, somewhat funny.. But here it felt more satisfying for me personally.. Maybe because in Normal ending lots of things still aren't solved.. And here we save many frozen people, PC continent and Maho.. Also very glad that Nepgear kept her memories.. I hope she'll be able to build Ziri again eventually, as well as times with Maho and Anri ahead as well.. Nepgear continues to be the one I adore the most in Neptunia..
Oh my goodness, this was such an amazing ending! I love this so much! I'm glad both Nepgear and Maho remember everything and are now reunited. It's kinda a bittersweet ending as all the stuff involving everyone else now is meaningless as it's all in the memories of Nepgear and Maho. But this was just that enjoyable, I loved the story so much. Words can not describe just how much I enjoyed this whole game. And the theme music in the final Maho fight with Nepgear was just so fitting for the final true boss. The box puzzles could have been better. But at least Alice and Higurashi are playable thanks to New Game +. I'm trying hard to come up with things to say about this, everything in this game, and especially the story and all the callbacks to Conquest and stuff, all of it was just so amazing. And that Photo Mode is pretty cool. I'm really glad this game is the way it is. This is a definite favorite of mine. But now that it's over, I feel kinda sad that this is the end so far. But that's okay, all good things must come to an end. This just gives me the opportunity to rewatch all of the Neptunia games on the channel. See what I missed, see what I remember, look back at what I loved, have a good chuckle and laugh at the jokes, see all the lost characters from the previous games, all of it. I'm really at a loss for words on how great this game, and the series as a whole is so just know my words are only a tiny fraction of the love I feel for this series as a whole. I feel like this is the most emotional Neptunia has been in a while...then again it's mostly been spinoffs and gag entries since VII and Uzume. They really should do this more often.
OR Much more likely - and Histoire seems to agree with me here - No sane person would accept her ridiculous story. Instead, Nepgear appears to be suffering from a serious mental illness that replaced her proper memories with strange paranoid delusions that never happened (Arfoire's attack, some tragedy on the PC Continent, time travel) and caused emotional lability (bursting into tears, then immediately laughing with joy upon meeting a random stranger). In reality, this would be very concerning. Nepgear will have to go to hospital, be put on drugs and possibly never fully recover. This is the darkest ending yet.
I hope Maho will be in other games, because I feel like the ending could have showed more. Like showing Maho and Nepgear hanging out after being reunited, because like it just suddenly ends as soon as they meet up. I would have liked to see what it's like them just hanging out with eachother in better circumstances when there's no monsters, robots, or Arfoire interrupting them whenever they get a chance to hang out. Yeah Maho dragged her to places in the game, but like that was when Nepgear wasn't quite as attached to Maho yet, so it's like Maho was having all the fun, while Nepgear wasn't thinking much of it at the time.
Congratulations twit for true ending. Tbh i remember when arfoire was the 4 CPU mum i wish we get more lore or game about that side. Nisa and gust being left out etc. It change so much over the past couple if games.
I don't know about Gust, but Nisa no longer being included is because a lot of people working in Idea Factory now, are former employees of Nippon Ichi, that joined up with IF because they were being overworked, and I guess joining a company they've already worked with in the past was the first place they thought of.
The way I see it is, we already know from Megadimension that Gamindustri itself has a kind of will, or at least a survival instinct. It happened when the Golden Summits appeared after the CPUs lost their shares. So, when the game's timeline was erased, it took the consciousness of the 2 people closer to the epicenter, Nepgear and Maho, and fused them with their normal selves. I kinda see Gamindustri itself as one massive divinity, one that wants to let its subjects live however they want, but will give a push if needed to preserve itself. I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually get a character that is the embodiement of Gamindustri's will itself, and it could make for a good game (although we would probably go the whole amnesia route again, but at this point it's a classic gimmick of the franchise). In any case, I'm really glad that this game continued the mainline games' tradition of being really good. The story was awesome, the gameplay was great too (it felt like playing a Tales Of game), being able to visit Planeptune and Planeptower was a blast, and although I experienced some crashed here and there because Unity loves to crash, it's actually really well optimized on PC. Now all that's left for me right now is to wait for Game Maker to be released on PC (and it better), I've been avoiding spoilers about it for that reason.
My thoughts based on this let's play (I'll play the game eventually myself at a later point) is that this is a big step up in terms of quality for Compile Heart. While the 3D graphics are an obvious improvement I'm actually really impressed with the Live 2D implementation in this game. The characters are a lot more lively and the effect is so convincing that at points it really did look like they were 3D even though after analysing it closely it become clear that it's was just a very clever visual trick. I really hope this is the level of quality we can expect from future Compile Heart games. And I hope that they'll use this game as jumping off point to develop the main line series further (and hopefully they'll develop the PC Continent a bit more now that Maho and Nepgear are friends and the PC Continent is cooperating with Planeptune, maybe even have the next game take place on it). I also hope they'll improve their open worlds in the future games so that they'll feel more alive (exploring Planeptune and Planeptower is obviously a big deal for the fans but by the standards of other games they do feel a bit empty). The puzzles were definitely a low point with only puzzles in the lab being complex enough to seem worth including. I hope this is just a result of Compile Heart being inexperienced in this area. I obviously can't comment on the combat as that would require first hand experience however I do still think that they should go back to a party of 4 rather than 3 so that you could have all CPUs or all candidates on the field at the same time. It would likely require rebalancing the combat if they'll stick with this real time approach however I think it would be worth it in the end. I also hope they'll finally stop teasing us and give Vert a proper sister. At this point the lack of an MS handheld is a rather silly reason to continue this as Sony has discontinued their handhelds while Nintendo no longer has a dedicated handheld console. Edit: I would like to see you make that complete timeline video/image. It does sound like something the series may need at this point.
I'll definitely get this ending for sure. Currently in the beginning of chapter 12, gotta work hard to balance both shares. Hope in the future game, we get both Maho and Anri become playable. Also they should bring back Uzume and Umio too. If the party was still 3 person in the next game I would try a combo of Gear-Maho-Anri and if it was 4 person gonna add Uzume or Umio as well. Please IF and CH let the BFFs party get their playable debut

So that was it? I thought the ending route was gonna be a little longer. Well, I'm glad that Nepgear and Maho remembered and that CG, so sweet to see those two getting a hug. So, this was a fun game to watch and the gameplay was somewhat different from the previous ones, but it's something I'll have to get used to should I ever buy this game myself. Though, I'm kinda disappointed that Maho didn't end up being playable throughout the game. I can only hope the next main game they do will allow her next time, and that they also bring back Uzume, Umio and everyone else that had to miss out on this one. :(
Some people are asking if we're gonna see Maho again and, it's quite likely! CH is already teasing that they will soon announce something new, and for the little hints they have left it seems like it could even be related to SvS. They probably even have a lot of ideas for it since there's evidence of quite a bit of scrapped content for this game. Uzume's megaphones are modeled, someone also found her Processor Unit in the Japanese files, Maho has an EXE Drive even tho she isn't playable which makes her (and Arfoire I think) the only non playable character with one. So we might actually see more of Maho and specially Grey Heart in the future!
I play other amazing games, but I'm not spoiled! To credit where credit due, this a passable effort IF/CH, it's not perfect effort but it's good! At: 15:50! I'm with Twit on this one!
Yeah I feel like a lot of negative reviews I've seen of this game are people that for some reason deal in absolutes, they either love a game or hate it. And they didn't love it, they only kinda liked it, so that automatically results in them giving a negative review about the game. The game absolutely could be improved in many aspects, not all major issues, but still issues nonetheless, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I feel like Idea Factory and Compile Heart can do better on the gameplay side of the action combat Neptunia games, if they would just try to replicate and improve some games Tamsoft has worked together with them on in the past. But they shouldn't need Tamsoft to save the gameplay all the time. Cyberdimension's gameplay had a lot of issues, but for the most part whenever Tamsoft partners with them the gameplay feels smoother. But just because the gameplay can be better, doesn't mean the game is bad, it could use improvement, but I still think overall it's a good game.
I do hope we will see grey sister and her sister Grey Heart in a future game with PC’s and smartphones being able to play console games nowadays it only makes sense to add a Goddess for the PC and smartphone heck this series itself is on PC plus we need a Steam Rep anyway
Well even though the whole time thing confused me to a point I had a headache, the story was ok, at least the two friends remember and Nepgear has grown stronger. Also at least the grey goddess doesn’t have have actual time travel abilities, cause that’ll be another one that got insane powers unlike the 4 and their sisters.
I wonder if those memories will be brought up in a future game, like when Airfore returns? Also.. Twit what did you think of Uni, Rom and Ram in this game?

Yay true ending get and yay remembering a character is NOT deleted........let's see how long that will last in the next game. Overall, this was alright. Gameplay just fits way too sluggish, environments were lacking and the quantity was pretty damn low. However, that seems to be the course for the series and while I didn't laugh at ALL the jokes, the Demon Slayer one did make me smile since I am a fan and hyped for the third season. Plus, the sisters did finally get an active role after so many years and at least it was nice to see them DO something. Narrative went from being annoying to all right to WTF did you throw time travel!? Again if it wasn't for your commentary and my friend bringing me back down to reality, I would have snapped lol. Nice job playing the game Twit!
Great game, but ending seams a bit more like a big reset, than a conclusion to a story. And I would really want for Neptun to be main hero of the next main game, that isn't a remaster.
Probably different continuity. Do wish they would redesign their outfits whenever it's a different continuity though, like they did with the Ultradimension characters (though the Hyperdevotion Noire characters also wear the Ultradimension outfits), so we can tell immediately that it's not the same versions of them. But the Share Crystals that resulted in the Next Form, are basically the same thing as IS Crystal, minus the whole becoming a mindless beast thing the IS Crystal did to Arfoire. If the Share Crystals existed in this game's universe I would think the characters would have brought them up. Yeah there's the Uzume reference in this game, but who knows she could just be a fictional character in universe in this continuity, or idk maybe they met her but she isn't an important character in this universe.
Now the question remains, what’s the next installment for the IP series? Are they going to re-re-make Re;Birth 3 or remake the sub games? Or are they going to make a new game. Time will tell…
I guess it all depends if the writers have nepgear remember in future games... But unfortunately I don't have high hopes with there's characters return or not because the writer's have a habit nowadays in bringing back older characters. Also I'm annoyed that neither Alice or higurashi didn't reallyreally matter in the game besides it's traditional to put other game companies in their games. I'm not a fan of the game personally I didn't care about maho or anri and maho just felt to much like uzume kinda like the writers just wanted to bring her back but in a new character.
I would've liked it infinitely more if the true ending was both Mahos merging together and then fixing the current timeline by unfreezing the Lowee people and so on. At least that way everyone would've kept the growth they gained in the story. Now Noire and Uni never went through their arc in Lastation making that part completely unnecessary for the story. They could just skip it entirely and nothing would be different because they won't keep their growth in the next game. But who got the worst part was Anri. Her whole arc about coming to terms with her immense grief and hate due to losing her parents is now completely gone, and so is her hate-love relationship with Maho and Grey Sister, she didn't even get the chance to learn that the Maho she grew to care for was actually the same person who killed her parents, she had the right to know but never did. And now she's back to square one. And not only that but this ending feels forced to me. Both Arfoires fused together, in the bad ending both Mahos fused together, but only in the true ending the Mahos and the IS crystal got destroyed? It feels like they wanted this ending to happen no matter what so they just made things conveniently so it could happen. Hell, Ziri even ended exactly 12,000 years in the past which is the exact same amount of time she needs to solve the time travel formula to end at any time they please. It's just, the world builder inside of me is calling bullshit. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

At least Arfoire won’t revived with immortal soul ability in next mainlines because there is no way time travel will ever come back

I'm looking at the credits, and there is a voice for Dark purple. I played the game, but I don't remember Dark purple appearing or having a voice.

Plus, the sisters did finally get an active role after so many years and at least it was nice to see them DO something. Narrative went from being annoying to all right to WTF did you throw time travel!? Again if it wasn't for your commentary and my friend bringing me back down to reality, I would have snapped lol. Great game, but ending seams a bit more like a big reset, than a conclusion to a story. And I would really want for Neptun to be main hero of the next main game, that isn't a remaster.

Because the next gen form was a mistake and even CH knows it.
Probably different continuity. Do wish they would redesign their outfits whenever it's a different continuity though, like they did with the Ultradimension characters (though the Hyperdevotion Noire characters also wear the Ultradimension outfits), so we can tell immediately that it's not the same versions of them.
But the Share Crystals that resulted in the Next Form, are basically the same thing as IS Crystal, minus the whole becoming a mindless beast thing the IS Crystal did to Arfoire. If the Share Crystals existed in this game's universe I would think the characters would have brought them up. Yeah there's the Uzume reference in this game, but who knows she could just be a fictional character in universe in this continuity, or idk maybe they met her but she isn't an important character in this universe.

I guess it all depends if the writers have nepgear remember in future games... But unfortunately I don't have high hopes with there's characters return or not because the writer's have a habit nowadays in bringing back older characters. Also I'm annoyed that neither Alice or higurashi didn't reallyreally matter in the game besides it's traditional to put other game companies in their games. I'm not a fan of the game personally I didn't care about maho or anri and maho just felt to much like uzume kinda like the writers just wanted to bring her back but in a new character.

I would've liked it infinitely more if the true ending was both Mahos merging together and then fixing the current timeline by unfreezing the Lowee people and so on. At least that way everyone would've kept the growth they gained in the story.
Now Noire and Uni never went through their arc in Lastation making that part completely unnecessary for the story. They could just skip it entirely and nothing would be different because they won't keep their growth in the next game.
But who got the worst part was Anri. Her whole arc about coming to terms with her immense grief and hate due to losing her parents is now completely gone, and so is her hate-love relationship with Maho and Grey Sister, she didn't even get the chance to learn that the Maho she grew to care for was actually the same person who killed her parents, she had the right to know but never did. And now she's back to square one.
And not only that but this ending feels forced to me. Both Arfoires fused together, in the bad ending both Mahos fused together, but only in the true ending the Mahos and the IS crystal got destroyed?
It feels like they wanted this ending to happen no matter what so they just made things conveniently so it could happen. Hell, Ziri even ended exactly 12,000 years in the past which is the exact same amount of time she needs to solve the time travel formula to end at any time they please. It's just, the world builder inside of me is calling bullshit.
