Lol, I actually made it a mission to install & then leave behind my bidet in every building I’ve lived in the last 7 years. I’ve left 5 bidets in Ottawa alone, and I’d like to think I’ve been slowly changing the culture on it.
At parties, people would be weirded out by it at first, but inevitably someone declares they’re gonna use it. They come out raving, suddenly everyone is trying to use it lmao
The way I see it is like this; if a bird shits on your arm, are you gonna just rub it in w/a paper towel? No, you’re gonna wash it off. What’s different here?

Bidets are standard where I live (Italy) but they are a single appliance, not a dlc for the toilet.
I do understand why they exist, adding a new one in an existing room might not be feasible.
The difference is that we still wipe with toilet paper and after that we use the bidet.
The important thing is that people wash their asses, spread the good word!

First one I ever tried was a standalone one in London! The bidet dlc seems like a diet version for sure, but like you said, I’m just glad people are washing!

No toilet papers in my country, everyone uses a bidet... haha. Had the same reaction on discovering the existence of the toilet paper, as a kid. Hilarious how millions of people use either of these for decades(or centuries if you just count plain water/paper) and life just goes on peacefully,...it only gets weird when you discover the existence of a counterpart, and then all hell just breaks loose!
