I agree with Sam's first statement but only in the context of using sadness and negativity to birth something greater, especially creatively. In most if not all other contexts, I'm thinking we probably need to work towards letting sadness and negativity go after a while, so we can reach towards something better and more lifting.
I think what Sam meant was more towards embracing sadness as a part of life. Sometimes society places such an emphasis on being happy, that being sad is somewhat viewed as a negative, as something one must avoid. I think he wants us to understand that it's okay to be sad at times.
TheMovieMyLife yeah sadness is only beautiful when you move out of it. In actual sadness one eventually feels depression and life dies inside, when you are in complete sadness beauty becomes the death of hope itself, spiralling out into despair

+Little Lau in case of singers; someone who doesn't write their own songs, someone who doesn't go to that vulnerable place that makes a song BRILLIANT and not just generic pop bullshit!
E Visser In my opinion an artist is someone who want to creat or express something artistic every day. Yeah singers who write their own songs are artists. But I think the singers who can sing something that they haven't write can do something beautiful too. Interpreters can transfer emotions too, i think. Yeah I got your point : people who just sing comercial trash aren't artists. They aren't false artists or what, they simply aren't artists.
And yes someone who just put himself in a vulnerable place is really beautiful. I believe that the most emotional and stunnings art pieces (paintings, songs, litterature, etc.) just come from chaos, or at least some vulnerable, tortured states
+Little Lau i think we see it the same! If someone who doesn't write their own songs sings from that vulnerable dark place deep down inside, then they are a true artist aswell! And there are indeed no false artists, simply put; the devide between singers and artist is emotion!
+E Visser I think there can be a certain talent to taking a song written by someone and giving it life in your own special way.
I really wish you guys would make these longer, it seems like you have so much footage and then it just drops off. Like 10-15 mins would be much more satisfying.

He seems like a really cool dude, really like his personality and sense of life.
I feel like him and I would get along. I love his view and can tell he thinks a lot. I am, constantly, thinking, wondering, piecing together why this or what if's. I enjoy it and I think it is a good thing to be alone with your thoughts. I have slowly got to the point where I take care of myself. I won't allow anxiety to scare me into not speaking up or doing something because of the people around me. It feels really good.
