Family is a lie, parents don't care about us. They only take care of us because it's one of their dutys in life and once they have completed that task they will abandon you to fend foryourself when your 12 years old. I've learned the hard way that parents don't at all love us, we are just toys for them to manipulate us and to entertain themselves and like all toys they'll just throw us away and never love us again 💔
The show is amazing. I grew up in foster care. I was taken from my home when I was 5yrs old. I lived in over 10 different homes in my life. This show does a wonderful job talking about the broken foster care system.
Unfortunately that is the world sweetie.... Corruption was instilled in America for the longest... I hate that you went through what you did... But hey what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
I too was in the system. I lost count on how many homes I was placed in and group homes. this show brings up a lot of emotions on how I felt growing up in the system. I also love the fact that the fosters shows just how messed up the system is. for years the foster system has been in the dark to the public. a lot of people don't know just how hard it is being a child and going through it. and how not every foster family is safe. I know a lot of kids here in Florida that are about to age out of the system with no family and no one really to rely on. most don't even know about independent living and the great opportunities they can provide.
I haven't had a show get me soo emotional like The Fosters! It just gets to me i can't explain it. Lena and Steph are such great parents and every foster child out there deserve a loving family like them!
I swear, Jude is so sweet, he's like a brand of candy. The first episode of The Fosters, with the whole Callie and Jude thing was very touching. I mean, the Pilot had me bawling.
Harry Smiles Lmao well their siblings what do you expect? Me and my brother are rude sometimes to each other without having any real reason but its because we're siblings but we still love each other and we'll always be there for each other but it's normal lmao
This is my song to my daughter. I waited 20 years, went through many surgeries and disappointments, but God brought her to me. She may not be my blood, but she's my daughter just as much.
Jeremiah Dawkins do we know by now why was he replaced? Some say he quit on his own for new projects but others say they fired him for inappropriate behavior.
who's here cuz of the fosters??? ok i just started watching and I'm already addicted and almost done with season 1 but I hate fearing the last episode (season 2's finale episode) so does anyone know when season 3 will be on netflix and if its a long wait does anyone know where i can find and see season 3
This song is beautifully paired with the introductory visuals of The Fosters. It makes me feel so good, like when I was a carefree child, and I feel like I have come home when I watch it since I always have found myself to be different and not belonging with the average crowd, like a foster kid in my own right. I have finally found something that gets me.
Bounced Foster homes first year B4 I got adopted ❤❤❤ ~watching the Foster's, this is the perfect theme song. First time hearing the fullness of this song, lyrics, so BEAUTIFUL, my soul drank it all in, watery eyes. Thank you so much for this. Very healing.❤❤❤
+Imani Moore Yeah I LOVE the fosters.At first my mum was watching it and I was like whatever ill watch the 1st episode.Then I watched the 2...3....4...5...6...7.....season after season! xD I LOVE AJ and Callie but I also want Brandon and callie to be together ;-;
I've watched the fosters religiously the entire time love this song and even my 4 yrs old and my 7 week old love it. My 7 week old if he is fussy I turn the song on he calms down and drifts of to sleep. I'm learning the words to the song now so just incase I don't have my phone I can sing it fully to him. Absolutely beautiful
TY for uploading this. It's my song to my daughter. I waited for almost 20 years for her. God blessed me with an angel of a friend that brought her into this world. This song means a lot to me.
It reminds me that I will always have a family to count on when I'm down and they will pick me up. Love Family and love this spectacular, inspiring, Brilliant song
watched the finale yesterday and I was crying so much, both happy and sad. I love the show. It represents so much that’s happening in my life and what I’m facing. I’m sad it’s time to say goodbye to this incredible show, amazing cast and crew. The Fosters (and this song) will always have a special place in my heart.
Any fans of The Fosters who like song should check out Please by Danny Nucci. If you don't know who that is, he plays Brandon's dad on the fosters, Mike. :3 he's an amazing singer
I was orphaned at 13, parents died in a car accident, I have always felt alone without a family to call mine… I ached for parental figures, luckily I have wonderful friends that have always made me feel loved…
I’m infertile and my dream is that one day I’ll be sitting in a rocking chair singing this to a sweet baby that I just adopted - I will never give up on my dream of being a mama ❤
I feel like this song is a promise to my future family. I'm a teen & I don't fit in & I feel like my parents only love me conditionally. That's something I'll never do, let my kid suffer just because they are different.
You are not alone Lina, but it does sound like you are on the right track. I think some day you are going to make a wonderful mother. Just stay true to yourself, and don't sell yourself short for just anyone. Find the RIGHT one, and you'll find that love you're waiting for. And yes, it is worth waiting for.
This song is important for so many reasons. .sometimes we lose touch of who we really are and our abilities to succeed and/or move forward. I love the Foster's and there are many life changing situations." It's not where you come from. .it's where you belong."
Family is a lie, parents don't care about us. One of my best friends sent me this. She sent it on a hard day, and I really appreciated it. Thank you Jessi for being here for me. I promise to be here for you too.❤️
Came back here after the announcement of Good Trouble being Canceled thank you for 15 years of Callie and Mariana and The Adams-Foster family. Sad their journeys are over but excited to see what these amazing people do next.
Yeah I don't watch the fosters but my husband does, and I heard the theme song and had to look it up. First time hearing it and I started to tear up...this was what I needed to hear. So beautiful.
This song makes me cry because of my friend. He had a hard time as a kid, being disrespected by teachers, not believing in him and calling him a failure. Then he moved, went through middle school, then came to my highschool. From then on he met so many respectful teachers that seen that he wasn't a failure. And met a few friends. Now he's a senior and says this song fits him a lot, and I can see why. He is pretty much a good student because of all the people he met. He wants to have a speech and sing it for them at graduation to end off one of the most important parts of his life.
"Where You Belong" If you're feeling down or weak You can always count on me I will always pick you up Nothing's ever gonna change Nothing's gettin' in my way I will always hold you up Anything Come what may Don't look back forget yesterday Forget yesterday [Chorus:] It's not where you come from It's where you belong Nothin' I would trade I wouldn't have it any other way You're surrounded By love and you're wanted So never feel alone You are home with me Right where you belong I know sometimes you're feeling lost It's hard to find your place in it all But you don't have to fear Even when you mess up You always got my love I'm always right here Oh, cause Anything Come what may Don't look back forget yesterday Forget yesterday (ay) [Chorus] Oooo Oooo (Oooo) [x2] Don't matter where you've been Oooo Oooo (Oooo) [x2] You're here for a reason Oooo Oooo (Oooo) Nooo [Chorus]
I was in foster care for 5 years. I was in 9 foster homes before I found my forever home. I had many failed adoptive homes as well due to being a teenager. I was adopted a year ago now and this song hits hard. I truly am blessed💛
I plan on fostering kids later in life. Right now, I sing this to my cat. He’s my guardian angel. I love him more than life. And he was definitely meant to be here in my arms. The song calms him down when he’s anxious. I love that
Same. My birth parents gave me up and I was in a group home for the first six years of my life. After I turned six, my worker started to look for a family for me to be adopted in and when I turned seven. I was introduced to three different household. I picked my adopted mother who was the last household I met out of all the other families because I felt that connection when I walked up to the front door. I knew that I’ll walk through this door for the rest of my life. My mom loves me unconditionally and I love her too. I’m so happy that I choose her to be my mother. My role model and my everything. Now I’m 23 and we’re still so close. When my mom heard me sing this song on my piano. She cried so much. I started crying and she actually recorded it. I don’t know what happened to that video. You could tell how much emotions it was being recorded in it through me and my mom who was holding it.

This song brings me so many memories some of them sad when my mom, sister and I would go through so much with my abusive alcoholic father and how we almost got taken away by the foster system twice but god put me amazing people who took care of me and I would feel safe and protected if it wasn't for them I don't know where I could of been this song and the fosters (show) has touched me in every way to everyone out there I promise everything will get better my dad later got deported and we are slowly staring over my prayers got answered we just need faith
“Even when you mess up, you always got my love” reminds me of the scene where Stef tells Callie “there’s nothing you could do that would make us not want you. You hear me? NOTHING!” 🥺🖤
This song truely hits home, I cry everytime. I love this song and the Foster's so much because I can relate. I was in 23 foster homes and 16 group homes majority of all my ex-foster siblings or group home mates are either in jail, dead or pregnant. I'm proud to say I have gotten through my battles, addictions and whatnot they may have left me my battle scars but that makes me who I am. I graduating highschool this year and going to follow my heart and dreams of becoming a Forensic Science Psychologist. I am proud to say I have survived the Foster Care System.
I’m sorry you had to endure that. As someone who was only in the foster system at age 3 for almost 2 years, I was very fortunate to have a foster family who loved me very much. I’m back with my biological family and have been fortunate to have my family as well as my foster family who I still see to this day. Anyways instead of rambling on about myself; I wanna say that your brave and your definitely strong. Continue to work hard this year as that is what I hope for you, and accomplish your goals as being in the foster system hasn’t stopped you. ❤️
I was singing this to my beautiful sweet kitty cat the other night while we were watching a marathon of The Fosters together. She's one of those cats that stares at the TV, probably just to amuse me. Lol.
this is seriously the perfect theme song for The Fosters, it fits so perfectly.
Sao I totally agree
Sao fits me,I'm adopted and was in foster care.

THE FOSTERS ❤️😍
It's beautiful how well it fits the Fosters story...
"Where You Belong"
If you're feeling down or weak
You can always count on me
I will always pick you up
Nothing's ever gonna change
Nothing's gettin' in my way
I will always hold you up
Anything
Come what may
Don't look back forget yesterday
Forget yesterday
[Chorus:]
It's not where you come from
It's where you belong
Nothin' I would trade
I wouldn't have it any other way
You're surrounded
By love and you're wanted
So never feel alone
You are home with me
Right where you belong
I know sometimes you're feeling lost
It's hard to find your place in it all
But you don't have to fear
Even when you mess up
You always got my love
I'm always right here
Oh, cause
Anything
Come what may
Don't look back forget yesterday
Forget yesterday (ay)
[Chorus]
Oooo Oooo (Oooo) [x2]
Don't matter where you've been
Oooo Oooo (Oooo) [x2]
You're here for a reason
Oooo Oooo (Oooo)
Nooo
[Chorus]

I can relate to this song it's exactly how I felt when my mom adopted me
how old were you when you were adopted
Same. My birth parents gave me up and I was in a group home for the first six years of my life. I love the Fosters. This theme song makes me think about the great things in life. This is a beautiful song!!!
This song makes me cry. I love it so much!! Kari Kimmel is such an inspiration!!!
I'm here because I need to listen to this because I'm adopted and I just needed this song in my head
I feel so happy when I hear that song 😊
here after Good Trouble finally 😭
This song brings me so many memories some of them sad when my mom, sister and I would go through so much with my abusive alcoholic father and how we almost got taken away by the foster system twice but god put me amazing people who took care of me and I would feel safe and protected if it wasn't for them I don't know where I could of been this song and the fosters (show) has touched me in every way to everyone out there I promise everything will get better my dad later got deported and we are slowly staring over my prayers got answered we just need faith
This song and the lyrics are perfect for the show! And I really like it, she has awesome voice.

This song gives me the chills I love it since the first time I saw the fosters I loved it 💖💕💜
Aww this was my dogs favorite song (she would always fall asleep to it and it would make her stop whining) miss her!!!😭
i really love this song ... the fosters is a really good show :)
one of the best theme songs in my opinion for a tv show. goes with the feel of the show so well and you just want to sing along every time :D
“Even when you mess up, you always got my love” reminds me of the scene where Stef tells Callie “there’s nothing you could do that would make us not want you. You hear me? NOTHING!” 🥺🖤
The fosters👌💕
Lol.
I'm rewatching the show again and I just had to come to listen to this masterpiece again
Everytime i hear this song it just give me goose bumps and i tear up.
I love it 🥺
We need more seasons that’s all I can say.
