First time in my, nearly 72 years, that I’ve listened to Alison Brown. I myself play guitar and bouzouki, mostly irish/celtic, danish and self composed music. But she is awesome! 🫶
Listen to Alison’s album “Look Left” an amazing compilation of songs of different genres with Alison playing guitar and banjo… I was disappointed she didn’t get the grammy for it that year. That’s how good I thought that album was.. I’ve even said that to her. Check it out… 👍🏼😁
What a beautiful combination of Bluegrass, Beatles, and Bossa nova. If a non-Portuguese speaker wants to conceptualize the comforting but complex/conflicting feelings of "saudade", they should study this amazing arrangement 😌 I wish George Harrison and Jobim could have heard this
Beautiful segue between two classic gems. Been a fans of Alison’s for a long time…. From back when she played with Alison Krauss. Haven’t had the pleasure of seeing her live in a long time… I guess I’ll have to make due with great videos like this one…. 👍🏼🍻🥰
Who knew Águas De Março would sound so good on banjo. The ending with the melody of Águas De Março playing over the chords of Here Comes The Sun is beautiful.
OH dear! when "On Banjo" came out last year I must have missed this one because I don't remember it back then. What a terrible omission!! I LOVE IT. I'm going to get it out again and give it some spins on the radio this week.
I think in a previous life I was a high quality banjo like that one, or was married to one. This music was like a sweltering parched body at the first swig of a mug of cold beer.

Alison is so endlessly creative on the banjo.
Who would have thought a banjo and a flute could sound sooo good together Amazing ♥

Es un tema realizado especialmente para mí. 15 04 60. Habla mucho sobre su servidor y amigo.
Flute gives it a 60's vibe, so nice!
