After watching this Paramount food haunting episode - I will need to adjust the timing ( watch this before dinner ) to watch Elmo’s video as my tummy is getting so hungry. All the classics are there and surely this one stop OS coffee shop is the perfect place to dine. Again - my appreciation and thanks goes to Elmo ( and also to Danny ) for making me terribly hungry. Won’t write too long this time as I have to take my dinner now. Yatt Lau & Mou Tak Deng episode this round. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
OS Kopitiam was formerly known as Teik Seng. My late godparents and late cousin bro used to take me there. Those were the best memories for me. Also, my late Aunt"s house (double story corner hse) right behind Ruby theater.
Greetings from France, Elmo. Thanks for posting this video. I used to live in Section 20 Paramount in the early 80s. I recognised the two sisters running the yong tofu stall. They had (have?) a brother working with them too. Their mother used to run the stall. Thanks for the memories
Thanks Elmo for mentioning my dad Alan. I have vague memory of his house that you mentioned as I had lived there until I was around 2 years old. This particular episode brought back a lot of fond childhood memories of good food places that I enjoyed while growing up in Malaysia. Keep up the good work - love your videos and will continue to support. Btw, long time viewer but first time commenting here.
The Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun is now helmed by young couple, these few yrs only. Their taste is quite similar to the previous vendor they took over from. The Teo Chew Duck stall is also one of the longest running one in New Seaview. Thank you for covering this restaurant, my backyard food favorite :)
Hi Elmo, thanks for visiting Seaview. I have not come to this kopitiam for ages but I know there are good food here. I couldn't wait to come after watching your vid. It's Sat and parking was a real pain, but it's worth it. I had the "cha leong" and Teo Chew duck porridge. I really enjoyed the teo chew duck as I honestly think it is better than the one in PJ State. The flavor is more intense or has depth. The pork ear is so crunchy and flavorful too. Love it! I'll be back again but maybe not on Sat😅
very well said in the beginning of this video , it seems things are going backwards . I fully agree on these choice because i myself have been a regular there, ate at almost 90% of the stalls. The place is packed during the weekends or lunch time . However i find the siew yuk stall when we ordered a couple of times , the meat amount and size is just too little. But i will go again next to try HK CCF .. looks nice .
Paramount? Food Haven! IMO, i tried the best Roast duck also in paramount. HKM, also in Paramount, and not only 1 shop, is more than 3 shops! Good memories. Thanks Elmo for the new recommendations, will try those stalls that i have never tried before.
Paramount garden .. just opposite the Pos Office the coffee shop Prawn Mee is very nice. Other than that everything else is just OK. Elmo you need to explore Section 17 opposite Seventeen Mall
Maestro EL , delighted to view another informative video of local cuisines from you 😋 . It won't be long before Malaysia realiasies that it's not the only country that foreign investors or tourists are keen on with it's intolerant religious fervour . I feel sorry for it's non - Muslim residents 😢 .

Tqsm Mr Lee for recommending this New Sea View restaurant as I almost forgotten... I always support O&S paramount, but this round after Mr Lee recommendations, I'll definitely visit this New Sea View.. By the way Mr Lee, 2 question need to ask you... Is this restaurant open at night hour? And each store can pay by e-wallet?
So may i know where is the new pan mee stall to be recommend ? As for O & S me just cant patronise this kopitiam since years ago. just too crowded and stuffy. cant lepak even for half an hour as you may be hounded by hungry eyes.
@@malaysiafood328 I've always assumed that it depends on how MBPJ delineated the borders of the sections, which should be evident from the names of the roads.
Hmm...i am actually looking for a stall at sek 14, oyster chicken noodles stall...situated at sek 14 multi-storey carpark podium makan selera. I super liked their oyster chicken with hor fun. The owner is an old lady, likely after her, there wasnt any person to take over. It was over 35 yrs ago... But i havent found another stall in pj or kl for this special oyster sauce chicken with noodles.....😢 If anyone knows the original owner or similar stall, do recommend. TQVM.
O&S is always the leader in price hike. Way before any coffeeshop raised their prices, O&S would raise theirs 1st. I've boycotted them closed to 20 years now. Don't miss a thing there. Best one there was a Penang style Chue Cheong Fun. That's the only one I can't find better in Klang Valley. I remember specifically avoiding the Yong Tau Foo cause the food were not hygienically prepared and the owner and workers are all very rude.
@@malaysiafood328 Hi Munonn, I've dropped you an email on this and the subject is Advertising enquiry - Sime Darby Property. Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you
The pork noodle used to be good but not so now. They've even hiked up the price to RM9 a bowl with less ingredients. Not worth the time now as it's a rip off !!
Went to try the char kuey teow and its bland and oily. When I approach the lady and feedback to her regarding the issue, show lcly face and rude attitude. If anyone of you going there for char kuey teow, you may skip it.
Why Penang food is so lousy since more than 20 years ago? Many factors....and one of them is cos many Penangites migrated to Klang Valley. Many of them are also excellent Street Food connoisseurs so when they migrated to Klang Valley... this greatly made Klang Valley the street food/ kopitiam food capital now in Malaysia. In this video ELMO showed penang people serving delicious Kopitiam food. I feel sad for Penangites in Penang...cos they only have a few (keyword:s A FEW!) stalls are edible. Easily 90% of Penang stalls are really lousy. All my Penang friends also agreed with me...so whilst weirdos still drive all the way from KL to Penang thinking that Penang food is the greatest....penangites drive all the way to KL to eat great KL food!

Section 20 is Paramount Garden, whereas section 21 is SEA Park.
I know that, but where's the border that divides them
@@malaysiafood328 I've always assumed that it depends on how MBPJ delineated the borders of the sections, which should be evident from the names of the roads.
Yes it's quite a mess. Only way to know for sure is to look at the road names. Example, 20/5 in PG suddenly becomes 21/10 in SEA park
