- The reason for the Bandai logo 🔴 to 🔵 change on Gunpla boxes. We will also look at other box changes taking place from 2018 to 2023.
I am importing some of my TikTok’s to TH-cam, the ones that won’t get me copyright issues anyway.

There is a slight error in this video. At 2:55 I introduce the Raider Gundam with a date of May 2018. A few moments later I do give the correct date of May 2022, but please note this initial error
Thanks man! I can now sleep in peace 🙏😅
This explains my most recent MG. I bought a Zaku II F-Type on Amazon back in August, and when it arrived I saw that Red Bandai logo. It also featured printing on the bottom of the box. That's how I knew it was an old-old kit. Makes sense though, Bandai hasn't produced Master Grade J/F-Type Zaku's in what feels like decades. 💀
Finally someone shared this info!!! Thanks a lot for this video!
You’re welcome! Feel free to share around, and check out my other socials through the link in the video description ✌🏻
So my friends got me some seed kits in 2020 or 2021 and they had the red Bandai logo.
I bet they paid scalper prices for them with them clearly being old stock 😅
I also seen an interesting Reddit post claiming that a witch kit had 2 different sized boxes.
They could have done sadly, while it is a great dating tool, some people take advantage and use it as a ‘vintage kit’ or ‘first run’ selling point 🫣
I’d love to know more about the Reddit post. If you have the link send it over to me!
RG kits get a rearranging on the cover to accommodate the Bandai Namco logo
I was unaware of this, but I have looked at a couple of examples and you’re totally right! Thanks for sharing!
I would say it is true though when it comes to reissue kits having different plastic.
I know a few modelers for example who own both the previous and reissue HG Hazels and the D Runner are indeed very different material wise from one another.
The HG Hi-Zack also has a hole for the action base to plug in. You can see this in the Hobby Clubhouse review of the kit who owns both versions.
Either way, it is incredibly rare though.
The Hi-Zack was the example that I had heard of that made me mention it in the video. I say it’s down to rumour only as I don’t personally have the kits in question to say I have seen the example myself. I don’t like to post things in text or video unless I own an example or have concrete proof, which at the time I didn’t have ✌🏻
@@big_bad_gundam_uk Very understandable then 👍
Is that your collection? Wow.
It is indeed, I’ve been collecting and building for over 20 years. There’s a link in the video description if you wanted to check out my other socials for an in-depth look at some pieces 👍🏻
Does the newer print get any improvements on the kits or this is just the box?
As I say around 2:30 there are rumours of slight differences such as different materials being used for some runners, or quality of plastic in general, but nothing I personally have noted.
The one and so far only confirmed change I found after recording was an HG Hi-Zack had a runner changed and the kit had a action base adaptor included in its later reprints compared to the original
@@big_bad_gundam_uk thanks, must have missed out this part. I got MG aile strike and RG 00 Raiser both with red logo cause they are cheaper than the blue with bandai namco in mandarake. And later found out about this rumors you are talking about.
@@saia8887 no problem. To be honest whether it a red or blue logo, they should really be the same price, as they are the same product. I have heard some places selling red logo products more expensive, and the reasoning for that varies from age/authenticity/first print/etc. First time I’ve heard confirmation of red being cheaper though.
