🔴 Ukraine War - Combat Footage From Kyiv Area Gives Closer Look At Armament Of Ukrainian AT Squads

- Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty released a very interesting video that gives a closer look on the armament of a Ukrainian anti-tank squad.
The scenes were filmed during a skirmish between Ukrainian and Russian forces in a undisclosed village in the area of Kyiv.
The footage shows the Ukrainian soldiers advancing towards the village when a firefight broke out.
According to reports a group of Russian soldiers and tanks entered the village and the Ukrainian forces were sent in to push them out.
The weapons we saw in this video range from regular RPG-7s over to Panzerfaust 3s, NLAWs, possible RPV-16 and even M141 BDMs.
Machine guns mostly were PK variants and M240s.
For small arms the video shows a mix of mostly AK variants with ironsights.

Just talked to a two tour vet. He is laughing his head off at all the BS footage. Russia is the 3rd biggest military they have the capability to wipe them out in a day wake up please all you fools.
So far on the news I have seen lines of body bags of so they said dead Ukrainians. Lve on the news the wind blows one of the plastic sheets up and a dead body grabbed it so it did blow away and anothe body's Seen foot moved.They showed Ukraine air defense in action only problem it was from a PC game Arma 3 fail. They have shown DCS multiple times it's the most realistic military flight sim on PC fail. Then we have all the footage of burned out military vehicles and downed aircraft. So weird how it's all so old. The helicopter I seen so called shot down was built in the 70's. That's like the US still using aircraft from the Vietnam days fail.
Go to the UN website and open your eyes and you will see what this and Covaids is all about. The beginning of the New World Order. One world Government they do not hide it. RPG-7's against light armor and NLAWS against heavy armor is a very potent combination - best of West and East you might say. The RPG-7 is cheap and easy to use and can rapidly deal with lightly armored vehicles at close range. Modern top attack NATO weapons can bust heavy armor from medium combat ranges before the armored column is even aware it's being targeted.
I've seen evidence they are using drones as spotters for artillery as well with artillery pre-zeroed in on points in the road.
Wouldn't want to be a Russian kid in a BMP or BTR right about now.
Panzerfaust 3 is more capable than NLAW. 900mm penetration at 400m.

@@rippspeck P3 doesn't have a top attack mode, which means that against top end Russian T-90's, 900mm might not be good enough to penetrate from some angles. Top attack mode solves the "from some angles" problem.

This is the first close contact combat I've seen from Ukraine. How they avoid friendly fire is a mystery to me in a situation like this. Good to see the Ukrainians are very well armed, just hope they got the chance to use it.
Russians have much darker camo with white bands, Ukraine has a more light tan with yellow bands...

Most Ukrainians left long ago when they realized their "government" was no good and the civilians had no control. I would know. How brave does one have to be that when the bullets started flying they remained calm and effective. Bravo to all the men and woman literally defending their country.
there are training videos present where they run in a straight line while men just a few yards away fire live rounds at them in front, behind, below, and above. to get them used to gunfire.
When I went through basic training for the army, we had a course where the drill Sergeants and trainers fired machine guns above us and had barrels that would simulate artillery shells landing close by.
How do you see their effectiveness in this?

Scoped M240 and basically every AT launcher under the sun except for the expensive ones like Javelin. It's like they dropped by the bazaar to arm themselves. Probably beats having all RPG-7s though. And still fighting - that ought to cause Putin and the Russian military some sleepless nights.

Just like the idea of anti material sniper rifle came from improvised M2 HMG in Vietnam. Many factors could evolved in the battlefield. Improve adapt and overcome. No one knows who is behind the cockpit glass of Su57 and who is in charge of Stinger's or Startreak's trigger that day they face off.

Well trained troops, able to utilise a range of complex international weapons and keep their cool under fire. Conservative use of ammunition and keeping calm when there are ricochets around them. I hope the Ukrainian forces prevail.

This is why training is so crucial. When you start getting shot at things turn to pure chaos instantly. You need that muscle memory to fall back on so you can keep a level head an neutralize the threat. These troops did a pretty good job here.

man, wars are scary shit. One thing is seeing it on the internet but in real life I can't imagine how tough it is. My dad and grandfather both served in wars before and they tell me so many stories. The world will be at a better place if everyone just works together and provide peace to eachother
Before he passed away, i tried to get my grandfather to talk about WW2. He never did. Years later I came across the grandson of the pilot of the B24 LIberator they flew during the war, my grandfather was the bombardier. Apparently they got shot down on their 10th mission near the german swiss border, half the crew were killed. The remaining crew were saved by my grandfather, and he was awarded the silver star for his actions. Nobody in our family knew about it. crazy stuff.

They were all brave men, everyone that has served in wars. There's a chance you will never come home. Fortunately my dad saved my mom and I was born in a refugee camp hospital in Malaysia. Very heartbreaking to hear what they had to go through so I wish everyone the best in Ukraine. Some soldiers are good, some are bad. A women from the opposing territory did hide my parents and got them to a boat to cross the ocean in stormy weather. It was like a story you only see in movies.

The interesting thing about this war is: we read and heard so much about modern warfare, drones, robosoldiers, you name it. And now this skirmish looks exactly what I am reading from my grandfather's diary, who was a soldier with the German 9th armored divison, fighting exactly at the same area near Kiew in 1941. Rifles, machine guns, tanks. They did not not use anti-tank missiles but 'Geballte Ladung' a number of handgrandades, wrapped together and a very useful weapon to knock out even a T-34. Other than that... one wrong move and you were dead. War never changes.
My grandfather fought in the US 3rd Infantry Division. They fought the German army from Morocco to Tunisia. On to Sicily, Italy, France and went home from Berchtesgaden. I wish he had kept a diary, it would have been full. I envy your piece of family history.
those modern weapons are very expensive that is the problem most armies in the world only have smaller numbers of the very high tech weapons and still use older technology in larger numbers even america has a ton of f16 and f15 older fighters and older tanks . the new stuff is good for showing off but its the ability to maintain and upgrade the older stuff that wins wars

I wonder if body armor gives them a false sense of security, some of them looked so casual. But body armor is not a guarantee. The modern trend I've heard is to use higher calibre small arms which at certain distances can even penetrate body armor. Combat is dangerous work.

Invasion is very difficult thing to do if you don't want to turn that place in to dust before hand. and if the defenders are capable and war hardened like the ukrainians, then things get more difficult.

I'd like to point out the incredible level of discipline for the UA forces to be so good on information security. It is incredible that we don't see more of these videos considering they all have smart phones. But i have yet to see any footage of combat.
The interesting bit is that these guys are draftees. You can see that from their yellow armbands. Unfortunately, they're practicing a lack of spacing and clumping up a lot of the time. That leads to a lot of casualties.
I don’t have the link but there’s a few out there. One being on a bridge where two AT and squads collide and you can see the casualties and grenades being thrown etc…
