I am always interested in new book ideas. I read everything I can put my hands on and that has something I can learn from. A sentence I live by from the book you recommended „The trail is the thing, not the end of the trail. Travel too fast, and you miss all you are traveling for.“ This is my favorite when it comes to traveling, specially with a motorcycle.
And they say that the hearts of Zac in the wild fans grew three sizes that day when they saw he had posted yet again. Seriously glad to see you back and showing me things that will hurt my bank account!!! And please, as a fellow bibliophile, please give me all the book recommendations!
Best Damn EDC did a “if I can only use 5 knives for the rest of my life what would they be” video, and I’d love to see a Zach in the Wild version of that
Just when I thought....... I couldn't love you guys ANY MORE THAN I ALREADY DO...... YOU GO AND START TALKING ABOUT 40K & NECRONS & THE INFINITE AND THE DIVINE!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ you will never loose me as a viewer. I will follow you guys into the Eye of Terror (a WorkSharp-less universe) before I stop watching your videos.
It is so good to see you both again!! I love watching your videos and hearing about your life. Your passion for knives mixed with philosophy and over all life lessons is the best. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the content, like alot of your followers, I consider myself of the tinkering type. I purchased 3 yonders just to swap the handles of 2 of them and appease everyone getting them. But to my point, books, places to go and customization would all be great content coming from you. Solely because you can take a step back to appreciate it more and drop little tid bits of yourself in your examination of whatever it is. Thank you and your buds for everything.
Love hearing you and Jamie talk about gear that you're passionate about! Been enjoying my Yonder for the past month and it's been one of my go-to knives to suggest to non-knife people! Looking forward to more videos from you!
Fantastic to have you guys back! Great content as always! 🔥 And Zac, the yonder have not left my pocket for 3 weeks straight! Incredible knife man, well done! 🙏🏻🔥
Great video. Love seeing you and Jamie together. And it was fantastic of you to say to spend your money on adventures, even if it means you don't get a Yonder. Wow, that's impressive!!
Not a big crazy color guy… talking about gaudy .. while wearing eye blinding red ugly Christmas sweater 😂😂😂. I love the the car computer diagnose thing at the beginning of the vid . I don’t have knowledge to work on my car, but that would give me knowledge to be able to know for myself, what the issue is. I feel like I have less a chance to get scammed. I don’t have to completely depend solely on a mechanic to tell me what is wrong with the car and throw out a random fees . You should do a book club and meet live on media to discuss …. I’m throwing a flag on the no nonfiction… Comics count as nonfiction Zac ! Man what a joy to see you both again !!
Hi Zac.. so glad you guys are back... I had to choose between the Yonder and fixed banter last week... and I chose wrong.... but I am still going to get a Yonder when I can 😊
Great guide and great video guys! About the Star Wats stuff, I totally agree, but Idk if you (zac or anybody reading) had watched the animated clone wars kind of Kids cartoon show. There is a very vintage 2d one, with only 2 episodes, but they are very deep in the star wars filosofy and lore. But the following 3d animation, that highlights the development of the war, showcase Ashoka Tano for the first time, her training with Anakin, his struggle with the balance and temptentions with the dark side. That is ABSOLUTE CINEMA. I can`t recomend that enought to my friends, and I think that if you hadn`t watch it already, it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE, and I am not over selling it. Anyways, Loved the video, the talk and the recomendations. Happy hollidays to you all!
Love the yonder! I am blown away at how comfortable and compact it is! I find myself always gravitating towards it! (A slightly larger one would also be very sweet 😉)
I would definitely carry one of those EDC book bags cuz I carry one everyday it is a must for me but the most important thing for me when it comes to one is some type of reconnectable waist strap or even a fixed waist strap to go around my sissy bar on my motorcycle so I can take it on my motorcycle everywhere I go without it being a pain in the butt to strap down or without having to wear it
Would you ever consider doing a more expensive version of the Yonder that’s manufactured in the USA? As I’ve gotten older I’ve appreciated products made in US and not just a design shipped off to china and produced in a soul-less manufacturing dungeon
@zacinthewild still gonna get your design! Love the blade shape. Reminds me of classic slip joints in a way and that's pretty fitting to your personality. Zac, you've been a huge inspiration as far as my delving into the knife community and now because of it I've even learned years of sharpening. With that said, thanks for being a positive influence in my life! Wish you nothing but the best, bud.
I've literally been using an electricians tool backpack for an EDC bag because they are the only bags I've found with enough built in organization for how i like to use it. I've tried regular bags with multiple Grit-it or Tactical Geek TCM board and they work ok if you only need one or two boards. I've used tactical backpacks with a thousand pockets. Nothing has enough built in organization for me than a tool backpack. The Big Idea bag is a step towards a better bag, but to me the best would be a stylish (not tool) looking bag that takes it's cues directly from tool bags. I've used Klein Tools and Dewalt backpacks, but what i've stuck with long term is the CLC Custom Leatherworks (Tech?) Backpack. You can get great bags for $100-$200, and fairly good tool bags for $50.
@zacinthewild Most of them are great logistically and in actual every day use, but then you're the dude with the Dewalt backpack, which though i don't care in practice, I'd rather have my bag be more low key, lol. if we could get something with the stiffer shell of the Big Idea bag, along with the looks and (I'm sure) quality also, but just integrate a few ideas from tool bags like more individual slots, pockets and pouches, I think it would be a hit. Their bag is definitely a step in the right direction, and generally better than anything else I've seen so far, but I think takes cues more from camera gear bags and still leaves an open space in the market. But yes, please check them out. Of course we all have our preferences. And They're not perfect, and I think they have too many individual slots, but I've found nothing else that works for me as well.
@@zacinthewild oh, look at Purdy's Painter backpack at some point if you pass a Sherwin Williams. I can't afford to try everything, but it looks useful also
I have a knafs driver. I've had this for about two years now, and it still works great! Just recently I purchased a Yonder from civivi. Knife is super sharp, and it's a great work knife. But these two items aren't made in America. That's my only problem with them. Do you guys have anything made in usa?
Yo Zac! Searched for your quest box in the mid west. Couldn’t find it but it was a blast looking. Just picked up a Yonder, it’s great edc. Keep up the amazing work
This comes a little late as i recently spent all my money on Rough Rider, Imperial and Buck traditionals. But the book recommendations are fine: Louis L‘Amour is already top of the stack, waiting for a few days off on Christmas. Thanks again for the tip. Sounds of water sounds good as well. Any ideas of books on knife history?
Hi zac first of all just so happy to see you are doing well. But because of your last video i ordered education of a wandering man and i realy enjoyed it so i was wondering if you would have any other good books like that.

I was thinking it would be cool if You and some of the other knifetube community did a series about the soul of knifes. There is something about a knife that has a good “feel”/soul that you cant always put into everything even if it is a “flawless“ knife. Sometimes the “perfect “ knifes seem too sterile. I was thinking about stuff like victorinox not even close to perfect but we all love them. Or how ugly Spyderco is yet we can’t put them down.
Do you guys like the book recommendations? Should I do a video on some of my favorite books? Let me know!
Yes please!
@@zacinthewild I don’t read books but if there is one that interests me I’ll give it a try!! Yes please

I did not expect the Horus Heresy or the Infinite and the Divine to come up in this video but I’m into it. I’ve been a 40k fan since the early 2000s.
