Shearing at Big Billabong

Made in 1947. Intended primarily for screening to English school children, this film shows all the processes employed at a shearing shed, from mustering the sheep to the transportation of the bales of wool to the railhead. This film was produced on a big sheep station in New South Wales.

I'm so proud of the wool industry. I'll keep shearing till my body doesn't work. Never had any plans of shearing sheep I had to help my dad on the farm then my shearing occupation began.
