Zach your bride is a real trooper! What a blessing you two can share your love of the teams and all the folks involved. I can see where the solitude of working the teams could soothe the soul.
Yessir Mr Dale for sure. It’s good for the soul. I was super proud of Marcy myself. Thank you so much and thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please.
@@SamDoe-zn3tu well, not really. When a horse gets ahead… The Doubletree gets closer to the tongue. That makes it easier to pull. The off horse still has as much load. However, the team is split. The main reason is because the lead horse needed to be held back a little. More or less.
Thanks for sharing the video Zach. I really enjoyed watching it. Yes sir y'all are blessed to have each other. Marcy is doing great with the plow. Never had the chance to plow with a team only a tractor and it's becoming a lost art. Most young guys especially don't know how to set a plow or how to lay off land. Good seeing your mules as always. Y'all take care and God Bless you and your family.
Hey buddy! Thank you kindly..and yes you’re right. Mold board plowing is becoming a thing of the past. A lost art for sure. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment as always. I appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please

🙏🏻👍🏼 blessings from Australia 🇦🇺 thank you and Marcy for sharing your day with us 💐☕️ now I see 👀 what you were saying about the higher mule to the right being in the farrow and evening out the team 🤠 thank you for the ongoing education it is appreciated *furrow
Line geometry, when I'm teaching a workshop it is the first item I discuss/demonstrate as soon as the student gets to ground driving and has figured out the basics of walking and driving simultaneously. Looks like a great day.
Yessir. They did well I think. Thanks for the kind words and I’m glad ya enjoyed the video. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please.
More great content I actually picked up a decent walking plow a while back and I’m slowly gathering up other implements to use with my team a lot of the old gear has been sold for scrap which is a shame anyways thanks for the tip with the lines
Thank you sir. And I’m glad you enjoyed it. It is a shame on the old stuff getting scrapped. Anyway, thanks for taking time to watch and comment: take care and do come again, please
Nah I don’t think so. Maybe hold the lead horse back a little more to keep the evener level. The seat on that particular white horse plow is offset behind the lead horse so your lines will tend to slip up over the lead horses butt unless you have hip spreaders to run your lines thru. You adjust the lines to match the plow evener. So your team walks in line with the evener. Wider the evener, the wider the horses need to walk. Those horses were pretty good size, and they didn’t have a lot of room to spread out. I think it was a 12” plow. So a 12” plow typically will use a 33-34” evener. Sometimes a 36” maybe on a riding plow. That’s pretty narrow for a big team. Anyway, hope this helps and thanks for the question. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment also. Take care and do come again, please
Yessir you’re welcome. We both prefer mare mules, yes. I will be doing a video on that soon. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please
God had Marcy in mind for you before you 2 ever met. After being divorced for 20 years, God finally gave me my soulmate too. I liked the ride along with the other teams of horses and plows. You are always worried about showing us the same thing. I don't see your videos as the same ol' thing. God bless your whole family
I appreciate your kind words my friend. Both Marcy and I both were divorced before we met. I am so thankful for her. She’s helped me so much in so many ways. God is good! Thank you for watching and commenting as always. Take care and do come again, please
Great event. Plowing belongs to my favorite activities, but unfortunately it is not the best way to treat the soil, because it tends to destroy the soil structure in the long run. Increasingly we all will have to turn to minimum or even no-till strategies.
Thank you sir. It was a lot of fun for sure. Thank you for taking time to watch and comment. I surely appreciate it. Take care my friend and do come again, please.
If you’re referring to my plow..I am using a #13 Vulcan slat wing and Marcy is using a 94 Chattanooga slat wing. They’re my favorite plows. Anyway, thanks for the kind words my friend and thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please
Haha, she’s a whole lot of woman. She can plow a pair of mules and also bake some biscuits. 😉 thanks for taking time to watch and comment my friend. Take care and do come again, please

The gray team was having the same issues with the lines. The land horse looked to be doing most of the work.

lines need adjusted on grey team?

Thanks for sharing my favourite - ploughing. Is is just a coincidence or do you and Mr Summers prefer mare mule teams? Notice no gelding teams.
