Ganyu was release on 2nd Phase of version 1.2 Dragonspine Update. She is the first 5 - star Cryo DPS that was released and was also called 'Cryo Amber' before she was released. But it turns out she's a great DPS ingame.

Long Shot Ganyu is the way to go
If someone has ganyu but isn't a fan of her charged attack playstyle i always recommend putting an elegy on her and using her as a support, for f2p ganyu ig fav bow or stringless would be good. Just because a character is meant to be built a certain way doesn't mean you HAVE to build them like that, the game itself is versatile when it comes to building characters it's honestly really fun trying out different artifact sets and weapons. But as a charged attack Ganyu enjoyer i can't wait to finally get Shenhe so i could one shot everything in open world.
What difference does it make which new character you get, all the maps still have lifeless NPC’s standing around staring out in the distance with no new dialogue or actions. After you get done with the “fun story lines” the game is just completely boring.

Lmao the first ever genshin impact video i watched was about ice bridging which made me interested in playing this game and that video shows ganyu as the best ice Bridger, damn the nostalgia
Well I have Ganyu since her first rerun event, I failed to get her when trying to get her in her first release way back in ver 1.2 and got Diluc instead, I got her weapon in her second rerun, and I got Collei as well. so now i am set, she is one of my mains, but I don't main her as much as my Qiqi, and I already dedicated my entire Genshin playthrough to play Qiqi and never swap out Character slot 1 until the end of the game's service
