I can relate. I was abandoned at 2 yrs old at a bus station in Brazil where I was born. The local police brought me to an orphanage and I stayed there until I was 7 when I was adopted by white Americans and brought to America. I experienced some of the same things Tommy Davidson did in regards to my own race and learning what it is to be a person of color in America. I did all the dumb shit that "they" make you think you supposed to do as a black man. Wasted yrs of my life in institutions, just to realize at 28 that what I was doing was wasting my life living a lie. I am now 42 and I haven't been back. I have a family, cars, a wife and a job..peace of mind

The truth is they are played out and alone. Single them out. I actually feel a very small bit of pity for racists, how ignorant and small minded they have to be to hate someone for the colour of their skin or the language they speak. What really pisses me off tho is now that they arent as comfortable being open about it in fear of losing their jobs, they hide behind the safety of a youtube/instagram accounts and the shit they feel comfortable saying iirks me that bit more because the dont have the nuts to stand by what they are saying in real life with their identity attached to it. Just a bunch of sad little trolls.

@@biketron Some of them may not have an understanding of that particular struggle, but they know it's something they wouldn't want to experience to have a better understanding of it. It's really as simple as if I don't want it to happen tome, I'm not going to do it to anyone else.. If someone did something that hurt me, or made feel bad, I wouldn't do it to anyone else because if it hurt me it would probably hurt them too.

This interview hit my hard and deep. "You can't be late but your sister can." That phrase says alot. She was a very smart woman and Tommy was lucky to have her as his mom. God blessed her with wisdom and God blessed Tommy with the insight to listen and apply that wisdom in his life. Thank you Tommy for sharing this life changing wisdom with us. May God continue to bless you in your life. 🙏🏾👍🏾🤗😊

In the black community, when you're well behaved, respectful as a teen it's considered lame or looked at as negative. Cussing, picking fights, being arrogant and ignorant is viewed as a good thing. Growing up, it's all we knew. It's hard to rewire and reprogram the adult mind when as adolescents, our whole universe revolved around fitting in and doing what our homies was doing. It takes a strong mind to be different and be who you were destined to be. Salute to this man for being himself.
