“You probably don’t need an iPad”
True, but personally, it is quite nice to have one.

I always wanted an ipad, and with all these people on instagram taking crazy notes on their ipads i wanted to do the same thing so i went to the store and tried the one i wanted and honestly once i was there with the ipad in front of me, i was like "wtf am I gonna do with this?"
and I didn't buy it... lol

Don't buy an iPad. Many people will buy it with the intention of doing productive stuff like writing important notes, doing graphical or video-editing-related stuff, etc. - but in the end all everyone does is wasting time with it. During the pandemic I wasted a good chunk of my time endlessly watching videos on the sofa or playing mindless games without a goal. As soon as I realized this (sadly, only after the pandemic) I sold it.

This, plus if you want to take notes you are far better if with a laptop, or one of those e ink writing tablets which actually seem to do MORE with note taking, and they have no distractions.

Very nice video! I recognise myself in these issues as well, an iPad is just not there (yet) for a lot of more advanced workflows. I tried, really tried, but it annoys me so much and makes a lot of things that are very straightforward on Mac just a lot slower. You explained everything very calmly and honest, without any over the top production. Keep it up! :)

Because let's be honest. An M2 to run INSTAGRAM is a bit of a stretch.

I bought iPad recently for the purpose of painting, drawing & video editing in FCP on the go. but after I bought and check everything is subscription based. I was so sad I mean first you pay too much money to buy this thing then you pay a subscription price every month to use software. waste of money for people who hate subscription.

The irony of this video is that I just bought an iPad mini with the sole intent of using it to tether directly to capture one, but once I got it i decided to try the free version of Davinci resolve and I loved using it. It has some limitations on the mini that it doesn't on the m1/m2 models but it's still really decent. I hate hate hate subscription software so I wasn't really interested in trying fcp on the iPad. Thanks for watching!!

After the iPad with keyboard and trackpad, I struggle to draw a line between an iPad and MacBook for daily tasks. In 2010, iPad and MacBook were very different.

Man, I swear... you hit me painfully. I just bought an iPad haha. I have my hopes up but I guess only after trying to use it I will find out if I need it or not. And I also bought a go pro. One of the worst purchases I had... completely useless... for me.

I understand where you're coming. But in my opinion, it comes down on how you'll gonna use it. I personally find my iPad so useful, because it eliminates some of my struggles like putting tons of books on my backpack, I'm a person with disability and yes, I'm in a wheelchair and I personally struggle a lot putting all my heavy books in one place. With my iPad I can just download it digitally and do most of my school work on one device without any hussle. It's also great for entertainment too! I hope that your opinion doesn't change by a single 10 minute video. I suggest you to immensly explore the true potential of the product before thinking it as a waste of money or worse return it.

I think iPads are a really cool tool but I don't think that they are for everyone. It's always up to the individual. This video is simply what I wish I'd known before I bought mine.

I’ve had a couple of iPad Pros, I have the M11” Pro currently. And I am comfortable in stating it is nothing more than a larger iPhone. And nothing more. Having the Apple M chip is a total waste of time, and whilst it may do some fancy video editing, it lacks any decent ability with emails being use it’s based on a mobile phone platform.

It is, I ended up caving after getting rid of the ipad pro 11 and picking up a mini. It's taken over from my graphics tablet as the tool for photo retouching and it is nice to travel with.

I was thinking of getting it for art purposes, but I just can't be asked to transfer from Paint Tool SAi to Procreate, even if I keep seeing the damn thing everywhere
that and since I've been on Windows and Android for a long time, I'm not a fan of Apple being limiting in terms of accessibility to transferring files and such, not just connect to USB and that's it.
but idk, maybe the Apple ecosystem just isn't my cup of tea especially with how it's been lately 😅

Can I ask what computings task you do with it most?Im genuinely interested. Since I started using Adobe again I've purchased an iPad mini to use mostly as a graphics tablet and I do have a keyboard for it which makes it a great little note taking device too.

I have the same feelings about it. Got both 12.9 M1 and simple 9th gen, but really - can't find any use for it, except maybe some mindless content browsing.
But a glorified TH-cam machine for $1000 is a waste of money.
Browsing webpages, searching for info is both not fast and not convenient on it, sound and screen is nice for sure. But usability is pretty lackluster.
Android ones seem to be even worse.
Subscriptions models for apps seem to be because many of apps require certain cloud infrastructure and people to maintain it. So companies offload operational costs on their customers.

The iPad is a big iPhone or humongous iPod touch. I have one to do things I don’t want to do on my phone. Ex, I don’t play games, no social media, no video/movie content on my phone. All done on my iPad. When I need work done I use my laptop. Each device has its purpose. I will say I use my iPad the most throughout the day.

Most of the things that an iPad can do other tablets can and do better.
The only advantage are the (few) exclusive apps. Exclusive due to Apple Money. And even then, those are available for PC or even a Mac and it's way more worthy.

  • @maravreloaded
    @maravreloaded 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

iPads specially Pro models are kind of a waste of money. Because it's still an overpowered tablet.
If you told me it can run Mac OS natively then maybe it would be worth it. But for all the accessories you would be paying the price of a MacBook.
