Excellent! The quality and entertainment in this video is top shelf!
I have a Cinderella Love 25 CGC 4.0 W, As soon as I had the money and it came up for sale, I grabbed it. Love that book and it was love at first sight when I first saw it.
Hi Kevn. Good man. If you won it at auction, you likely outbid me. Been the underbidder a couple times in the past two years.
@@kestonsoldschoolcomicbooks6842 No, I just bought someone's copy directly
Love highlighting these Golden Age issues. I haven't seen maybe a third of them. Taking me to school friend.
Shane! Good to hear from you, my friend. Glad you liked them. Some of those covers are don't show up too often.
All great covers. The only one I have is the Mysterious Traveler #1.
Ahhh....but a great one to have Robert! Thanks for commenting.
Punch 12 is so creative!
Yes, it is. I love that the skull is so prominent that you have to take a second to absorb what's happening. Thanks for commenting, Dan!
Hi Keston. Thanks for another fantastic video. So much info - wow! I was completely unaware of some of these covers. Keep the great content coming!
Appreciate the kind words usualone! The golden age has many hidden gems :-)
Well, after hearing some of that history on the Tim Holt 30, we are going to have to get one, lol. Very interesting. Another great video, my friend. Always dropping the knowledge.
Heh, heh. I thought you two might be interested in TH30 :-). Good to hear from you.
Desperate for an Amazing Man 22!! I do own 2 books on this list tho… (MMC 46 and Exciting 29)
Hi ShockMasta. Hope you can land the AM22. So tough. The two books you do have are quite special!
Found your channel a few days ago, Love the content! Keep up the good work!
What's up K ! Great Show, great books. Roly Poly's are what we called the bugs that curled up in a little ball and we kids would roll them along the sidewalk. Also Roly Poly is in a song by Mark E. Smith and The Fall. My favorite band. Take care. Peace
Thanks SVP! That's what we called those gray bugs too. I'll have to check out Mark E. Smith and The Fall. What's the song that references Roly Poly?
@kestonsoldschoolcomicbooks6842 Hey K the song by the Fall is called
"A Lot of Wind"
It's about the talking heads on TV.
It's the last verse in the song.
The Fall have more studio albums than almost any band including the Stones.
One of those bands where one song, you say what the hell is this ? And then the very next song will be your favorite.
I knew of them in the 80's but didnt discover them until about 8 years ago. Peace
Hey Keston I have a video idea for you that I recently tried to look up on TH-cam and I was surprised it hasn't been done yet. A comic book teir list for golden age / silver age. Swagglehaus has a video on Marvel superheroes but I do believe a list contsructed by the eras of comic books would be a interesting concept. Food for thought. Keep up the awesome content.
Thanks Luke! Funny enough, I have something pretty similar set up in the pipeline :-)
I have several of the books from this list. I wasn't familiar with the Roly Poly one though.
Hi CCG. Yeah...I figured you owned or knew about most of them. Any that you didn't know about?
@@kestonsoldschoolcomicbooks6842 2 of them the Roly Poly and the grenade one.
I have been trying to buy the Roly poly 14 for 5 years now.. doubt I'll ever get
Hi Corey. Yeah, it's a tough book. I had a low grade copy but had to part ways with it over another comic deal. Dang, wish I would have kept it. Great book. Good luck getting a copy!
Keston you've been in comics for a long time....do you know why most collectors dislike (some hate) Tarzan comics ? What's the big deal ....I don't get it !
Hi Tim, I created a video that explores just this very topic! th-cam.com/video/yg_NE8XAd7Y/w-d-xo.html
Don't forget crime does not pay 24
Hi kevn. If I do another, similar video, that would be a great one to include!
For Tomb of Terror #15, I think most folks...maybe even those that have a copy...do not realize that the exploding face (from one of the interior stories) belongs to a robot, which is why there are gears flying from the head. I think this was Harvey Comics, thinking they were clever, because if anyone ever called them on on how gruesome the cover was, they could simply explain that it was a robot, not a flesh and blood person.
Great video! You blew my mind with the story on Tim Holt #30.
Thanks Chris O. Awesome comment. I pinned it!
