No IOS and Android are better because you can take it on the go, and I get that the DS one can also do that but IOS and Android are better, DS has a lot more better mini games than any version
ANSWERING ALL QUESTIONS:when the peashooters go down,you need to SCREAM/YELL something into the mic until he goes up.If it says Shout!and nobody is down,then you can make him orange and he shoots four peas.I was told to quiet down.

no way i had the same experience which is why everytime i got to here i had to replay the entire game cause my ds couldn't pick up the signals cause it got wet
My microphone on my 3DS is broken, but I still managed to beat this minigame. Beating Heat Wave without a Mic requires luck, and your bound to lose almost all your lawnmowers.
