There are rare examples of women raising voice for justice, against their own family. Cheekh is the journey of a woman who fights for justice for her closest friend.
Mannat, played by the immensely talented Saba Qamar, is a strong-headed and outspoken girl and believes in speaking the truth at all times.
Wajih, played by the heartthrob, Bilal Abbas Khan, is a sharp and cunning man who knows how to manipulate any situation to suit himself.
Yawer, played by the versatile, Aijaz Aslam, is the older brother of Wajih, Shayan and Haya. He can go to any extent to protect his family.
Shayan, played by the handsome, Emmad Irfani, is the middle brother. He is married to Mannat and is a loving husband who supports her even when she stands against his family.
Haya, played by the beautiful, Azekah Daniel, is the youngest sibling of Yawer, Shayan and Wajih.
Nayab, played by the stunning, Ushna Shah, is a sweet and innocent girl who is in love with Wajih, Haya’s older brother. Mannat is very close to her two best friends, Haya and Nayab.
Ramzan, played by the veteran actor, Noor Ul Hasan, is Nayab’s father and Shamsa, played by Saima Qureshi, is her stepmother.

An actor who plays a negative character but yet can make his audience cry for him and feel his pain is a brilliant actor. Billal Abbas has so much potential and great acting skills to perform his character using his eyes.What a great actor. I absolutely loved his work.👌

Actually Wajih was behaving like a kid since beginning. He just didn't get proper guidance because of which he committed so many crimes otherwise there was so much innocence in Bilal's eyes. I was unable to hate him even for a moment. I wanted him to get proper treatment, not punishment. Last episode just broke my heart.💔

Watched this drama 4 years back nd rewatched it in 2023. Saba Qamars acting is phenomenal, in fact the whole team was amazing. Last scene made my heart so heavy. It felt so real. I pray nobody experience this much pain in real life.

Cheekh is an outcry for justice. What I praise the writer about is that he gives it a universal touch....Nayaab's cheekh when she was molested abused physically and thrown, her father's cheekh on being subdued, her stepmother's cheekh for a better lifestyle, Mannat's cheekh before falling on the pavement while running from Wajih, on arrival at home to see her mother no more, on seeing Wajih at the asylum, Yawar on Wajih's death, his wife on wanting a child and on being disrespected, Shayan when his patience is tested and wrong injection administered on Mannat, Saleem on being interrogated at the court about Wajih's misdeeds.. From taking the general to the particular, cheekh is an outlet of everyone's fear, calling out for justice. Excellent acting by all.. Ramzan chacha's acting was at place but his voice and eloquence begged clarity. It was in stark contrast to that of Mannat, Aqalzada, Shayan, and Waji. The most important aspect is everyone's view point was given importance. From Haya to Sadiq, from lalchi aurat to Mannat's mother. The most important dialogue was in what was left unsaid between Mannat and her mother when Ramzan chacha was painfully driven out of the house by Mannat's mother. The important message:
Humanity is not dead.
No matter what the price, adhere to truth and honesty.
Read the holy scriptures with an understanding of the meaning.
Saba Qamar's emphatic portrayal of a self made woman is the director's gift to all women. In all, it was so gripping that I finished watching in two days. No time wasted.

Remember the pain when Julius Caesar, the tyrant, the dictator, the arrogant, the most hated one was stabbed by Brutus? No one could help but shed tears for him for being so betrayed by his bosom friend. This is all humane.

I watched this masterpiece within 2 days. I cried a lot in this episode. Wajih, who lost everything for his ego, anger and fear. Mannat, who lost everything for standing with the truth.. My heart aches for both.. What a show it was!

In the end we all are left with whatever we have done till that date. See now noone is there for wajih.. He himself welcomed this for him. I was touched my the drama, wonderful plot, excellent performance from everyone. The negative characters of bilal was difficult to watch but the drama was worth it. I loved this whole. A great lesson and a million cries. Thank you team cheekh and whole cast. Wonderful ost and damn became a fan of saba and the actor who played shayyan

Bills Abbas’s acting was very natural and he did Justice to his role. Everyone in their role acted absolutely fantastic. It was a sad and a unique story with unexpected twists and turns. Hats off to all of the actors , the directors and the crew.🙏
I think the one of best actress is saba qamar as she perform awesome and her acting is just mind blowing....I came here after watching that Pagal Khana of saba which he just did so fair....and her skills is god gifted

I think Pakistanis SHOULD ask themselves, why they recite a book , when they don't understand the language? How will you know what you are reading? What it means? No wonder Pakistanis know nothing about their Islamic rights or basic things.
I think it's ridiculous. Also it's wrong how we censor things because of "sharam and haya". Because the Quran speaks openly about chastity, sex, pregnancy, body/anatomy, menses, emotional and physical needs, divorce, morality, so it is almost as, if people are afraid to read it. You can't censor Allah. But the question arises - are kids old enough to read the Quran if we don't want them to know about these topics at a young age?
I fully support reading the Quran with translation only. I have been doing that for yrs. There should be no other option. It's your duty as a Muslim to know what Islam says and the source direct from Allah is the Quran. It is the cure for the jahalat in Pakistan. It will completely change things if people found out how far from Islam Pakistani culture is. Don't trust the molvis, shaikhs or muftis blindly. They will not answer for you on judgement day. Read for yourself. A few ayats everyday. Start from page 1, first surat, everybody

I have not watched the drama, this episode just came and i thought why not give it a try and i couldn't stop myself from closing it, i watched the entire episode and i had literal goosebumps....what great acting, and direction, the background music was so on point ❤

Well what's has stopped you from doing so and why do you need a drama to remind you of that? How do you know what Islam is if you don't know what the Quran says? Do you speak Arabic? Probably not. So the Quran reciting by Pakistanis is usually in Arabic. But how do you know what it says?
You don't. Better late than ever. Start from. The first sura. Read a few verses every day. It takes less time than watching a drama.

What's wrong in this? First time I've seen any drama where they have shown the elites powerful families like this in cheekh and the daughter in law stand against them to provide justice to her friend and in the last wahih (bilal) said that we should read quran with meanings our brother did this and he won but we lost. So if someone is taking interest in quran after watching this drama it doesn't mean they arr faking something or showing off or they're liberals they need a tv show to do that. Stop spreading hate.

Last episode so emotional. All actors did their part well.Such a strong storyline.
