I totally forgot there were expert staff ghosts in this game. I can't remember if I ever beat all those or not because it was so long ago for me, like 15 years ago when I played this game the most on my original Wii copy. I wonder why MK8DX never had expert staff ghosts, but I guess the Nintendo staff ghosts on MK8DX are a perfect middle ground between the regular staff ghosts here and the expert staff ghosts here.
I think expert staff ghosts in MK8DX would have been really nice. The base game ghosts in that game are way too easy imo, but the DLC staff ghosts are actually where the challenge is, but it's still not that hard. So I guess we do have expert staff ghosts in a way with the DLC, but not like it is here in MKWii.
I haven't worked out all the details yet, but I won't be doing "worst combo challenge" for that series due to how some of those times would literally be impossible to get with Baby Mario Baby Booster.

huh, you were recommended and i started watching you on whim since the flower cup, stayed for the cheerful vibe and seeing some skill with the wii wheel after poof's vids and most of the community trashing them even if they are viable. it shows you like the game, you know stuff like the pianta trick, of all things, and not some more common knowledge like the route in dk summit or most vehicles, so you are fresh but passionate. just watch a decent race or ghost on dk summit and coconut mall, you'll see the good routes are all doable for you (double gap cut aside in summit, but that's overkill for ghosts lol, single is free tho). Others have suggested some, i'd say the phantom or bit bike could be challenging, for karts... tiny titan or piranha prowler? most are trash and irrelevant... oh, wario had his own bike in that last race lol, also pretty bad, like the shooting star, but not the worst of the worst
I'm glad you've been enjoying the videos! Yeah, I haven't played this game seriously in a long time -- definitely has to have been like 8 years and I didn't know a lot about the game even back then. So I'm learning a lot by doing these playthroughs of the game. I like those suggestions! There are definitely karts/bikes that are difficult to use, and honestly Baby Mario Baby Booster isn't that bad imho. But I did see a lot of ppl saying it was the worst combo in the game, so that is why I chose to go with it.
I feel like you might get used to the booster seat after a while; there are a couple more arguably bad combos you might consider switching to later (phantom, tiny titan, wario bike, sugarscoot, bit bike, etc.) I mean you made me play on the zip zip lol

They do yes! The direction in which they are facing and waving their arms shows which escalator is going up. If the pianta is facing straight and waving his arms to his side, then the escalators are motionless.
