Bad part was you had to UPS the receiver back to H&R/NEF in order for them to fit new barrels each time you wanted a new caliber ,adding extra cost to and from and risk UPS damaging everything in the process.
I have had great success with 350 legend Winchester 150 gr. tipped . Found 180 gr passed thru with little expansion.. the deer ran about 60 yards with little blood trail at first then a ton on a dubble lung shot buck. The 150 grain expanded quickly and ledt a larger hole on the way out. Buck ran about 20 to 25 yards and crashed .lots of blood at point i shot him. Also double lung shot but internal energy dunp was evident during field dressing. I use a gas gun with an 18 inch barrel and velocity is very close to factory spec on the box. I want ro try the copper impact this season to see how they preform. Have not been able to get any ammo other then the Winchester and Hornady in my area or on-line as it is always out of stock.
$390 msrp for the 5.56 model with a cheap red dot. I just bought several PSA ar15s for $350 a piece. $60 optic on top. I was expecting these rifles to be in the $200 range given how cheap they look.

I have two Rossi single shot 308's from the early 2000's. They are very fickle about what loads they like. One likes 165 grain bullets pushed with IMR 3031 powder. The other likes 125 gran bullets pushed with 3031 powder. It took a lot of range time and reloading bench time to find what they like.
Cool new toy! I just bought the scout pistol in 350 to accompany my AR. My 13 year old daughter took her first deer with the rifle. The 150g Win XP worked perfectly at 110 yards. Neat concept for a budget firearm. It feels like a good youth hunting rifle, expecally in the calibers it's chambered in. Unfortunately, I think it would be something a youth would grow out of quckly. So you'll end up with a budget firearms in your safe that collects dust. It may be okay for use as a brush gun cause of its length. I don't see it as a good camp or woods defence gun because it's a single shot.
Reminds me of the handi rifle. I had more problems with the locking mechanism. Load, lock, pull trigger action opens. Dangerous! Gunsmith never could get it fixed even after contacting the factory. This was just b4 they went out of business.
Personally I’m looking forward to the new run of T/C Encore barrels that will be coming out under their new ownership. So far I only have a .50 muzzle loader barrel and a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. I’d like to get a 12 gauge smooth bore, but I’m not sure if I want to go with one of the latest straight wall rifle calibers or go with a 45/70 first. 🤔
I have purchased four 350 LGD rifles in the last five years. A savage, a Mossberg, a Winchester, and I can’t remember the other make. I sold the Savage because I don’t like short barrels. All of them are accurate and efficient meat taking devices. Git Sum! 🎉 MAGA 🥳
I’ve been wanting a companion rifle for my performance center 460 for years. Now that S&W is making lever actions I’m hoping they make a sub $1400 460 and 500 lever action.
I've been looking for a rifle to pair with my s&w 460xvr. Cva made a single shot but can't find one. Big horn armory makes a lever 460 but it's 2500$ it would be nice if someone made a budget friendly 460 rifle. I did pick up a rossi lever in 454 cusul
Have fun with the new one shooter. I am going to try subsonics in my CVA 350 Legend this season, The H brand rather than the W brand. The supersonic coppers, W brand, I tried on a deer hammered it. The Barnes coppers should surely do the trick as well. Just like your 45-70 experience, you want to break some REAL bones with those slow-go boolots rather than just punch the ribcage.
I want to try the Cutting Edge raptors, Fury spitzer, Maker Trex's, and Sierra Pro hunter all in the 150 grain range for handloads. This would be cool though for working up cast loads without running them down a gas block and dirtying it up. I enjoy 350. Anything is cool with me that isn't a Norinco.
