Making a satire out of it is the only way to deal with racism.
it was the motif of the refugee boat that framed the music video. Because it starts with Rammstein arriving on an island in a rubber dinghy and it ends with all the band members leaving the island on the rubber dinghy, with the exception of Flake, who is first forgotten and then held back.
Which is a lot of cliché, fits damn well with the lyrics of the song and the associated meta level. Because: On a lyrical level, the song is clear. It's about globality instead of nationality. About the German cosmopolitan traveling abroad. About the German globetrotter as an enemy. About someone who wants to impress the ladies in foreign countries with pseudo-worldly gibberish.
This is exactly what they wanted to emphasize by using authentic materials on both sides, as explained further in the making-of video. For example, Flake's (historical) silk suit still said "Deutsch-Südwest-Afrika", a German colony in what is now Namibia.
Arriving on the island, the white colonialists give Rammstein to a tribe of black natives. And they don't leave out any clichés.

Nonsense. We only had 2 bigger ones. In China only one city, I think Tsingtao. In all other countries, the English and French were. Oh yes, in the Congo were the Belgians.

Love that song
It is so difficult to understand the visual of the video, if you don't know the words. And more difficult the irony in both of it. And impossible to explain. Otherwise it was a pure reaction to the music and the visualls. Something like "yeah boobs" you would not said if you knew that one thing in the song is criticism to sex tourism: "I'm not a man for only one night - I'm only staying one or two hours - Before the sun comes out again - I'm a long time gone - And already taking my rounds" Taking the rounds in the search of the next paid sex partner of course. And the end of course "Come with me, I will make it good" Good sex of course.
And the other cirticism is to tourist that many of them have the attitude that the visit country need to speak their language. And make fun or have none respect to the manners the people in the visit country have. They even want them to behave like the tourist and speak their language without even to have real interest to their culture.
I'm thinking more about the fact that we are foreigners everywhere somewhere.
well... it's more criticism about colonial germany and the tens of thousands of people they massacred and behaved like absolute assholes in a continent that welcomed them at first...

Talk about laughing too much and in the wrong places. Talk about not understanding the historical, cultural or political references at all. Try watching the movie with subtitles and read up a little on world history. "There were boobs." Yeah, right, there were ignorant Americans ...
Representation of white man in Africa and taking over it. How they came there looking for voluble (horns,fruits gold etc) slept with their women, had fun and left. Only one guy left which im assuming became in power *but he representing more then just one white man who stayed there*. Singer repeats alot word "Auslander" literally which is sounds like "outlander" *Foreigner in other words* which what exactly the meaning of the word and the name of a song. Safe to say reference to history of white man in Africa
