ABBA has caught my heart since my very first time listening to it. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro. All the best to you.

CLASSIC MASTERPIECE, WITH A BASSLINE THAT'S OUT OF THIS WORLD, PLAYED BY THE LATE RUTGER GUNNARSSON. AND NOW A NEW ABBA VOYAGE HAS BEGUN. NO ONE CAN SHUT ABBA DOWN😍😍😍😍
Love this song, I had it as a single - also downloaded it a while ago. Abba are an amazing band and I had a lot of their songs such as Take a Chance on Me, Knowing Me Knowing You, Voulez Vous and Super Trouper. This one is so upbeat with a fantastic melody. Their new album is called Abba Voyage and is due to be released in November. A couple of songs have already gone into the UK charts - Don't Shut Me Down and I Still Have Faith in You. Great songs, they sound amazing and it's just so good to have them back. I remember the first time I saw Abba, on The Eurovision Song Contest 1974, held in the UK. They sang the song Waterloo and we definitely thought they would win it which of course they did! Great reaction guys, many thanks. Incidentally Madonna used the Gimme Gimme Gimme melody in her song Hung Up (2005) - I think she had to beg Abba's permission to be able to use it!
This song is so fantastic. The album version is longer and has a really cool instrumental break. Please check Knowing me Knowing you, Lay all your love on me, Voulez-Vous, Summer night city, The day before you came and When all is said and done. The reason their work stands the test of time is that everything they ever did is always high quality. They really took the time and worked tirelessly to perfect every song. The songs are only seemingly simple. Right under the surface their are actually really complexed and every time you listen one you can find layer after layer. With the new songs they haven`t changed at all. The voices are matured, but still clear and beautiful as ever, the harmonies are fantastic and the message has many layers to find.
The 'Album Version' is longer. But, it was also the version Released as a Single. The problem is, that the Video on TH-cam, is Edited. Over a Minute of the Hit Single is missing!!! The complete Video ought to be on TH-cam.
Thank you guys! LOVE your reactions and appreciation for good music! Abba had a lot of incredible songs! Looking forward to hearing you do more Abba! Their harmonies are amazing! Great melodies too! Waterloo, Mama Mia, Fernando, Dancing Queen, I do I do I do, Knowing me knowing you, S.O.S. to name a few! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
This song is what a lot of the music of the 80's sounded like, but was recorded in 1979. I think most people who listened to music in the 70's have a favorite ABBA song. Mine is "SOS."
This is the video edit. The actual single has a bridge of trippy vocals and very psychedelic instrumentation after the second chorus. The actual track can be easily found on Spotify etc.
Wonderful and yes Agnetha is an angel. Stunningly beautiful and and wonderful voice. You definitely need to listen and react to the new songs but first how about a little sojourn through Abba hit history? SOS, Mama Mia, Fernando, Dancing Queen, Knowing me Knowing you, Name of the game, take a chance on me, Chiquitita, Voulez vous, the winner takes it all, I have a dream, Super trouper, Lay all your love on me, One of us, The day before you came. And I skipped a few ;)
"Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)" is a song influenced by American disco, after the success of the Bee Gees and the movie 'Saturday night fever " In this song you can see part of the volume and range of voice that the blonde Agnetha has ABBA was preparing his 1979 Tour of America and Europe, in the previous one , They recorded this song and filmed the Official video There is an only video in which all ABBA is seen in the recording studio, including staff musicians (bass guitarist and drummer) and sound engineer Michel Tretow at the controls, creator of the well-known 'ABBA sound' with his innovative 'wall of sound' multiplication technique (an adaptation of the works of Phill Spector) The introduction and the instrumental ending, that characteristic sound of keyboards, is what Madonna used for her hit "Hung Up" (with the permission of the composers Björn and Benny, granting them share the credits) Surely for the latter, this is the second official ABBA video with the most views on TH-cam (behind only "Dancing Queen", which has already surpassed 500 million views) "Gimme gimme gimme" was released as a single and in the álbum "Greatest Hits 2"; it was #3 in UK, don't released in US
Wuhhh!? Where's the breakdown with the swelling strings? This is like a radio edit. I love ABBA and their comeback is stellar!! You've got your Led Zep, Rod Stewart, Elton John who trot out a farewell tour every few years. This is how to do it: nothing for 40 bloody years, then pick up exactly where they left off. No modern trickery. It's eerily like a timewarp in this fast-changing world. I love it!
All time classic. You played the short version, the radio version is a bit longer with the extra instrumental part in the middle end there's the 12" version (and lots of remakes). thanks for sharing!
You guys should listen to the title track from ABBA's "The Visitors" album. The song is about a Russian dissident about to be arrested by the KGB in the old Soviet Union. It was a hit in the dance clubs, yet very unlike ABBA's more mainstream hits. The whole "Visitors" album is worth a listen and showcases ABBA's ability to write songs in a variety of styles.
I JUST LOOOOOOVE THIS SONG.... With combined wealth in excess of $1 billion and almost 400 million records sold worldwide, the four ABBA members -- Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad -- could easily have decided to fade away into retirement... Wikipedia... AND REMEBER THAT MADONNA HAVE A NO ONE SELLING HIT WITH THIS SONG... PARTYYYYY ANYYYYY TIME.... 🥰🤑👍😜🔥🌈....
Good work Broaction. This is very nice review, and lovely to hear you reminiscing about your parents playing Abba in car. You mention Abba tendency to be melencholic, and I think you right. This song is quite sad too: 'Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away. Take me through the darkness to the break of the day.' It sounds desperate... the singer needs someone to help her to get through to the next day. Very sad.
Nice to hear your reaction!!! I agree 100% what you said! NOW! Pls react to their comeback songs....First in 40 years!!! " Dont Shut Me Down" and "I Still Have Faith In You". Especially the first one is unbelievably good!!!
Hi bros, great reaction as always. But how in the world have you NOT reacted to the two new ABBA songs recently released is beyond my comprehension. Still waiting eagerly for your reactions as I know you like ABBA and their beautiful music 👍
ABBA recommendations: - Eagle (the full 6 min album version, NOT the short music video!) - Voulez-Vous - Lay All Your Love on Me - Take a Chance on Me - The Day Before You Came - I'm a Marionette (their heaviest song, this one will surprise you)
You need to react to the two new songs just released I Still Have Faith in You and Don’t Shut Me Down. The first 2 songs from their new album Voyage, released on 5th November. Their first new music in 40 years!

They should have held out.
All the song's of Abba is very cool you can back the times have fun and Groovy

"Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)" is a song influenced by American disco, after the success of the Bee Gees and the movie 'Saturday night fever "
In this song you can see part of the volume and range of voice that the blonde Agnetha has
ABBA was preparing his 1979 Tour of America and Europe, in the previous one , They recorded this song and filmed the Official video
There is an only video in which all ABBA is seen in the recording studio,
including staff musicians (bass guitarist and drummer) and sound engineer Michel Tretow at the controls, creator of the well-known 'ABBA sound' with his innovative 'wall of sound' multiplication technique (an adaptation of the works of Phill Spector)
The introduction and the instrumental ending, that characteristic sound of keyboards, is what Madonna used for her hit "Hung Up" (with the permission of the composers Björn and Benny, granting them share the credits)
