I never knew that the bright side was the back and I am supposed to stamp the more matte side. I get to learn so many useful tips from your videos. Thank you!
I'm quite a ways behind. I found Tonic Studios, about 3 years ago, and, that is when I started to discover, my taste in art, is better found in the UK. Lol. I have looked at a few links, but, each time, I get a "page not available" message. Any ideas? I Love your videos Barbara Gray... as well as some Awesome stamps, dies, and the "making paper scenes"... I'm a gilding flake lover, and, your line stamps for the "interior landscape in the stag" my gosh. I fell right in love!!!
I watched the video last week and thought 'that looks interesting' so sent for the products, that were fantastic value, especially as I have a club discount. I've had a refresh look at the video and inspired, I am off to make a 'fairy on a moon' card for my friend's birthday. Wish me luck please! Happy Days.
Keep putting off buying any parchment supplies because I think I will not use all my other Clarity stuff if I do but you are showing us more and more ways of using the parchment, pencils and glitter and it is so worth investing in.
I didn't have any 'designer colored parchment' .. but I do have about 250 sheets of high quality plain parchment left over from when I made my own Wedding Invitations (I'm so glad I'm only ever doing that once!! Phew, the invitations were stunning, but so much work and expense!!) Anyway, I just made my own 'designer coloured parchment' - I took some green colouring pencils in various shades and colored my own 6" × 6" pages by using the flat edges of the pencils and going in different directions with each shade, and overlapping each one by just a small amount (I made sure that the colour was erasable with my rubber pencil first!) ... and the results were absolutely fabulous!! I discovered that even the cheapest colouring pencils in my box work well - you don't need to buy the Pergamano products for parchment! ! K . So I went on and did a dozen 6" × 6" sheets in different colour groups .. The purple/pink/blue/green was just incredible, so I tried inking it on the front with Versamark Clear Ink and then I used dark purple metallic embossing powder before removing some color from the back and colouring in with white pencil ... wow, I even impressed myself! (NB: It's important to wipe page well with anti-static towelette or anti-static spray before inking the parchment to avoid embossing powder sticking to page!!) I now have 12 beautiful cards with matching envelopes in the most unique colors possible, and I'm so grateful for your informative and inspirational tutorial .. Thank you so much!!

As always, I have really enjoyed watching your video on the Designer Parchment product. You have such a pleasant way of teaching and showcasing your products. I do have a question about how to adhere the parchment papers to our projects. On your sample, you used black brads, and it was very effective. Is parchment paper the product that is so difficult to hide the adhesive? If so, can you suggest other methods to secure the gorgeous papers without it showing through to the front of our projects? Thank you so much.
Hi Linda Yes parchment can be hard to hide adhesive with. Crafters Companion Glue Runners hidden behind coloured sections or whitework or a dot or perga glue should do the trick Hope this helps and let us know how you get on :)
