The Modpocalypse npc series is a good simple option that covers all the vanilla npcs. Comes with the good stuff like hph and KS hair. It also covers a lot of mods that add npcs. I use it as a base with a mashup of other npc replacers, but if I was making a simple load order thats the way I'd personally go.
That's a great series! What I didn't like was the facegen changes. Some of the NPCs looked different from their vanilla counterparts. I just want to update how they are without changing them.
But seriously, just to get Modocalypse plus the resources mod and change all the NPCs....that's a grand slam of a deal.
Also for anyone interested in new first person animations, the mod Comprehensive First Person Animation Overhaul is an amazing little mod and all you need is Dynamic Animation Replacer to run it which is already in this list of mods in the video and doesn't require any other mod to run properly. Have fun!

One thing I really like is Conditional Armor Type Animations. Made for the Vanargard, Leviathan, and Goetia animation sets to only play in light, heavy, or unarmored with high magic respectively. Also Runway Walk for unarmored females. Adds much more variety than just Vanargard, Leviathan, or Goetia using OAR.
Those are really great suggestions and I like how you can have different animations depending on what you're wearing instead of of stuck with one animation type (like me right now).
Been away from Skyrim for over 6 yrs just decided to get back to it and there is sooo many changes I don’t know where to start. This vid gives me some idea where to begin but it’s so overwhelming. Thanks for a great video bro. 👍🏾

There are instructions that come with high poly head 1.4 on how to inject/ give it to all NPC's. Also in Racemenu you need to use the slider that says " head Part" to use high poly head, otherwise you will still be getting clipping issues, and not using high Poly head. same with any high poly parts. you will need to use the sliders to use them and it will say in the bottom right of the menu if it's high poly or not.
I did pretty a simple NPC remake. which was inject the highpoly head to all NPC's with creation kit. gamerpoets has a great video on how to make creation kit perform better. and after that I used high poly overhaul 2 for all NPC's that's it. With KS Hairdo's.
That’s a decent quick solution, but the problem I always have with that (and mods that just inject Expressive Face Gen Morphs, like Nordic Faces) is that the morphs are not 1:1 to vanilla, so a lot of previously pretty NPCs just look a bit off. The vanilla faces weren’t designed with HPH or EFG morphs in mind. Still though, I think it’s good to use that as a base to fill in the gaps, then overwrite as much as possible with hand made overhauls like Northbourne. I actually prefer to use Nordic Faces as a base since it’s not as high poly, which saves some performance by keeping unimportant NPCs lower poly but not noticeably so.
@@Mr-tu4cj thank you for the reply. I love the skyland texture mods by the way. I use the all in one package and parallax. I actually just completely redid my modlist, well in the process anyways. I will have to check out that npc overhaul your talking about. I did the steps I referred to above and chose the modaculypse over haul. Pretty sure I spelled that wrong. I was pretty happy with that. I had 3 custom appearance mods, serena, Lucian, and the high elf at the dragonborn museum.
So I have been looking forever to find an NPC overhaul mod which touches on the males and females in the game in fun and interesting new ways and can't seem to find the perfect mod for my taste. Bijin seems to be my favorite for the ladies and I really like the mods you have suggested as a Vanilla glam up of sorts. However is there any big NPC overhauls that you would recommend that I might have missed? I might just end up having to cherry pick certain NPCs from different mods to add to my game and was interested if you could go over the process of doing that as well? If not great video and thanks for the mod suggestions. I love your Skyland texture pack and will definitely try out the mods you have suggested here.
Check out PoeticAnt44 and Pandorable. Two great modders that have AIO NPC Overhauls for male and female, which you can use to cover almost all named NPC in the game and the DLCs.

Why is DAR used rather than OAR?
I'd like to know as almost everywhere I've seen an open discussion OAR seems to be better due to doing everything DAR does while being open source so it can be maintained by other modders. Is there a specific functionality that DAR has not covered by OAR for this choice? Or is this just habit of choice?
Any recommendations for Xbox?
Are the mods you listed in the order they should be placed in the load order or do we have to switch em around ? I know the unofficial patch always goes first but I dunno the order of it although I guess practise is required
Great question! I didn't present them in the order that I would load them. I ordered them in terms of how much they covered.

Since they're all texture mods, you can kind of put them in any order you want. The NPC stuff, may have to go in a certain order.

I don't have an xbox, so it's a little difficult to make a LO, although many xbox users on our discord have made a version they share.

Mr. Skyking, as i've already read you don't utilize an xbox, which is par the course as modding is done by computer, and while some of your mods have been ported, some of the best have not. Rustic Clothing or Modernize or not ported to Console, Neither is CBBE 3A, nor is Bits and Pieces Skin. Now I'm not saavy enough to track down the mod authors of Rustic Clothing or Modernize and ask them to port their mods to xbox if it's indeed possible. More's the pity.
But is it possible that Bits and Pieces might be utilized in any number of Skin mods that are on console? Again, not saavy enough to know the differences or what constitutes them.

Awesome sauce question...it's a config file for HDT body collision. Basically body jiggle. That file tones it down the jiggle to something more realistic and manageable. I can't remember what the file type is called. You can even make your own, but I don't know how.
You can usually find them when you download a bodyslide preset.

99% of the reskin mods are basically switching all the NPCs into Mannequins/Victoria's Secret supermodels.
Is there actually a mod that simply make the NPCs HD?
I use a mod called "High Poly True to Vanilla NPC Overhaul," by AceeQ on Nexus. It might be what you're looking for.

there are a few mods from this you can use. For xbox, I prefer packages like bijin just because they're all in one and only take one slot. With the storage and mod limit on console, ya gotta be thrifty.
360 walk and run plus instead of True Directional Movement? Umm... why?
It's what I like. Feel free to use and replace whatever mods you want.

Hey! Thank you so much for the comment. I totally agree with you. The Skyland textures are absolutely horrible for Medieval era architecture. Luckily, this is a fantasy game, as described by Steam and Bethesda. And yes, I've been a fanboy since Morrowind.
If you're looking for an actual medieval game, I'd suggest Kingdom Come Deliverance. From textures and meshes to story and history, this is straight up Medieval accuracy. Skyrim is total stylized fantasy much like Witcher and Middle Earth.
