Very detailed video and explanation. I have a question though. You showed the PWM pin where it's connected under the PCH. Usually when the PCH is faulty then we have no working condition for the laptop (or the Macbook) but in this case it's just one signal missing and you said that this is the case in many liquid damage faults. We can safely assume that there is corrosion in this pin under the PCH which prevents the signal to reach the backlight IC. Should we try a re-flow of the PCH in order to fix the problem or it's a waste of time or it may cause even more serious issues ? What's your opinion and experience on that ?
