You did a great job plowing through all these games! Many of them extremely frustrating.
    Some gems though.

Yea some of them are just bad & will only annoy you so best avoided but i agree with the bad also comes the good as there are some fantastic games that are definitely worth playing.

Thank you for the video. About Tom & Jerry I really disagree about the game not being good enough. Actually, to see that this is an 8 bits effort, I find that the developers did a very good job at offering an actual game of "cat & mouse". It is very well made, with a ton of animations and variety. Sure, the platforms are a bit "there" but this sounds like a reasonable choice considering the limitations of the console, and allowed for a nice scenery. I personally recommend this game, I think it is really fun and not too long either.
Many of the later Master System games were ports from the Game Gear versions (that were lead development). Sadly, many of them would get a bit butchered, with a loss of colors, and more flickering as the Master System displays a wider field of view.

Addams family is a really hard game, and if you don't know what you are suppose to do it's a very frustrating experience. But if you'll give it a chance you will discover a pretty unique world hidden inside.
There's too much work put in for this to be just a cash grab. Maybe lack of development time didn't allowed for sanding the edges that makes it rough in some places, but it's doable and quite rewarding to complete.

Thought BTTF2 looked dated and clunky on my Amiga... but wow. The game peaked with that intro

Great video. Unfortunately me and my Bro got Last Crusade for Christmas one year, but like you said, you stick with it because it's all you've got; it's that or nothing.
These days, I have a Mega Drive with Master System converter and my MS collection grew to eight games quickly (about the same as being a kid) but now I'm getting a sense that it's an expensive hobby.

It is for sure, I was collecting games for a good while up until a few years back & i simply had to stop as i could no longer afford to buy more games let alone not having enough space to keep them but it was fun while it lasted. Cheers for watching.

@@memoriesofsegaYT Yeah, a friend of mine suggested I get a Rasberry Pi ...but instead I got a hacked Playstation Classic (with emulators on it). So I mostly play on that, which is also pretty great.

God the music to the old consoles was so good think the Sega Master System and Mega Drive had the best sound chip. But some games on SNES did also have some good games as well and NES

I agree, some of my favourite tunes ever are from playing many of these games on the Master System, Mega Drive, SNES etc. I remember Mortal Kombat 3 & NBA Live 96 on the SNES having epic soundtracks also. Great times.

Just seen this vid, I can’t believe it your one of only a very few people that did not slag the master system mortal kombat off, yes by no means can it compare to the 16bit versions but for an 8bit system it handles it very well. It was the first home version of MK I had (I got a mega drive a year later) for my time with it I had a great time

I don't like to totally disregard most games like this as it is interesting to have them running on older hardware which is very cool plus they are a part of our childhood so i try to see the positives behind them. I agree i thought it was cool

@@memoriesofsegaYT exactly I think a lot of people look at it and think well it’s not as good as the 16bit versions so it must be rubbish.

Predator 2 is my favorite, tons of fun with that one and didnt find the difficulty frustrating at all, its actually kind of easy after the first few deaths up untill the last couple levels so dont really understand your criticism there

Everyone has different skill & patience levels, some will find it easy while others won't be able to grasp it, everyone's taste & perception of video games are totally different, just the way that it is but that isn't a bad thing.

@@memoriesofsegaYT well yeah obviously but i dont see it myself with the pacing of the enemies you mentioned, i feel there are much more relentless and frustrating games higher on this list is all

I could be wrong here, and I see what you're trying to do and get at with this, but maybe the delivery is just a little bit off or perhaps I'm just misunderstanding it, likely.
The Master System is an interesting console because, to my understanding, it's the balancing scale for video games in the world. Growing up, I had no idea what the Sega Master System even was. Id unknowingly seen advertisements for it on VHS tapes we had where my mom would record movies off of TV and all the ads were there you had to fast forward through but this was an ad that was on one of them and that was it. They didn't sell them in stores where I was from, really, stores sold PCs mostly and the Nintendo. Atari stuff was still selling and you found them in thrift stores, not any more so we didn't know what the Sega Master System was and I didn't know anyone who knew what it was either. I learned about the SMS in my 20s, yeah, and finally got one and do you know where all my games came from? The United States? Nope. All of my games came from overseas, which thankfully the SMS wasn't region locked like most consoles up until the PS3 when Sony finally cut the cord. But, that's kind of my point. Countries like Brazil, to my understanding, dont get consoles like we do, they have to wait until consoles are obsolete to us, at least in those days. I don't know if Brazil has the Sega Genesis when we got it in the States. All my friends had Nintendo consoles while I had a broken Atari 2600 until we got the Genesis and we were one of the first years after it's release after Sonic 2 was out that I had one before most of the kids I went to school with and definitely my friends. So, in Brazil they had to be able to live in our universe in some way so, why they got hacked down versions of our games, at least they got to play them and the fact the games were running on the SMS was pretty impressive. Master System games never ran as smooth or as well as the NES did, for the most part, it was a technical feat. That's how I see it. While everyones parading The Last of Us Part I on the PS5, I won't acknowledge or play it, why? The Last of Us was always meant to be a PS3 game, it was designed and built for a console that has finally, after years of being ignored, and snuffed out by an inferior Xbox 360 which look at Xbox now, it was the swan song to the PS3 along with Beyond Two Souls. All of the ports and remasters and remakes take away from the impact it had on staking the PS3s claim to fame finally in showing everyone else had it wrong and that PlayStation reclaimed its throne, if you believe it was ever really lost, and look at the PlayStation we have today and the Xbox we have today. The Master System is its own thing that made due with what it had to try and keep things relevant, at least, in countries where they had to settle for less. But, gamers such as myself get to experience that era we missed because other parts of the world hung on to that history. AND the box art for games was solid versus the trashy box art PAL games have today, which I can understand why getting PAL games as a last resort for current Gen consoles that don't have physical copies is what gamers do, except retro era where the games run and slower framerates due to regulations on tech at those times, but PAL territories are stuck with what they have but those absolutely awful eyesores of PEGI rating stamps is abysmal. Not to mention, which the US sadly is becoming the exact same, PAL games have the text written three or four different times in different languages. In the United States we speak American English, why games have to have French and Spanish is beyond me but it clutters up a once clean box art, but our ESRB stamps blend in as does the Japanese CERO in the same way, but I don't understand PAL PEGI stamps but WOW! ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC! It really ruins the box art but SMS games didn't have that.
So, while you may see them as underachievers, it kept a Sega Genesis like experience available to countries that had to, unfortunately, wait until TecToy hooked up Brazil

Just trying to share some background of the games along with sharing my overall experiences of playing them growing up but i agree the delivery could be better for sure, i didn't write a script for this but should have as the flow is off which is something i am working on as there is always room to improve.
Most people watching these videos mainly want full specs, stats & detailed specifics about screen ratios & resolutions when talking about the games & consoles but honestly that isn't something im interested in, as long as a game works & looks decent, i play it & just enjoy for what it is, I don't look for perfection or perfect settings etc as for me its just a massive headache.
I just like to chat about games & share experiences, & hear about others memories of their favourite games, thats all.

I don’t know why they can’t figure out how to make a great Superman game. You leave Superman’s powers intact, put heavy emphasis on puzzle solving, some stealth stuff, some timed missions, some light escort missions.
