After watching your video, I went there. We ordered chichen seekh, karims roll, chicken korma, roti, biryani anarkali :) and shami kebab, on desert we ordered shahi tukda. My overall experience was very good. Even on weekdays at lunch time there was good rush. I liked the food over there. 100% authentic.
The reality is far from what has been claimed. I, too, had high expectations from Karims, but let me put it bluntly: ‘Big name, small show.’ The place is tucked away in a remote part of the camp. I visited around 1 PM specifically for nihari, after calling ahead to confirm availability. Despite it being a Saturday afternoon, I got a seat fairly quickly. But when I tried to place my order, the waiter casually informed me that nihari was sold out. On top of that, he said chicken dishes were unavailable and would take two more hours to prepare. Fine, I ordered mutton qorma, which was mediocre at best-a 3/5. When I asked for biryani, the waiter told me that it would take another 2-3 hours to be ready! The waiter’s attitude was rude and arrogant, and he himself admitted they were understaffed. This is what you get from a so-called famous restaurant chain? No matter how many paid reviews or partnerships they push, don’t be fooled. Think twice before trusting places like this.
Shivam, thank you for sharing the honest experience, and I can abide by this. When I went there, I wanted to try the mutton badam Pasanda, but the waiter said the same thing to me. It will take 2 to 3 hours to prepare it even after existing and telling him that I will wait for 1 to 2 hours because I want to cover it in the video, it was not arranged. But your experience there is concerning because if they are not able to keep the basic items ready on the day of a weekend, then I don’t think this restaurant will run longer. Hope they improves. I have passed your feedback to Kareem’s social media team. Hope they will improve.
Why not bhai, this is not a paid promotion. Even if it was i always get back to the restaurant management and provide the feedback. On what date did you went there?
Khana bahut hi shandaar lag raha hai...bilkul interiors ki tarah...well presented...Delhi mein khaya hai and I still remember it's awesome taste....will try this place in camp
Hope karim's restaurant will serve good mughlai food. I tried blue nile (it is more or less deccani style). Mughlai ( including persian ) food is rarely spicy for few exceptional items with limited red chillies. Hope karim's will be one of them.
Guys Karims in old delhi has been around for decades and the food there is excellent, even the kathi rolls there are no joke, i’ve been eating there since childhood please don’t spread unnecessary rumours! maybe the waiter in the new outlet has a bad day or the new staff in new outlet didn’t plan properly😅 but the delhi restaurant has excellent staff and food..

At 3:58 you mentioned Dalda being used in Pune specifically. I'd like to add that it's not Dalda but most of the restaurants in Pune use Lamb as mutton meat source & Lamb meat is bit sticky so the texture & taste but the mouthfeel is good coz fat doesn't stick to inside of the mouth like Dalda.
@@Thelocalguide No bhai, dalda is different, very different. It is a kind of fat which is used by street side Jalebi walas. In Pune, you will mostly find Bolhai meat (Sheep meat) which is covered mostly with fat & does not taste well. Goat mutton eaters will never ever like Sheep mutton.
I can say the quality of food and taste it provides. I think I consider it as reasonable. I have mentioned the price of each item. I have tried. You can check out the details.
Yes yes, I can second this. The seekh kebab at Radio is superb. Definitely worth a visit. While you are there do try the bheja masala as well. Superb taste and very value of money
Only seekh kebab is good Nihari not like Delhi Kareem.Too thick used wheat flour more than required.Dont try biryani...not good.Chicken tandoor too dry not juicy.Tried chicken korma ...was sour taste. They really need to improve.
Biryani is okish but rest of the food is good. I never had authentic mughalai food so it was a good experience for me. But for biryani lovers i would recommend SP's biryani, behrouz biryani, biryani by kilo, masaledar biryani
I will be very honest. I was in Delhi and many of local friends from Delhi Suggested me to go to Karim's. It was overcrowded and we waited for almost a hour in que. I ordered Chicken Mughlai and one more chicken item it was purely tasteless. Thereafter I stayed in Delhi NCR for two years but none of my friends and never went to this place again till I returned home in Maharashtra. Please don't give wrong reviews and misguide people. I went to this place and had the worst experience of my life. We ordered Mutton Nihari and it isn't cooked properly. Total waste of money.
Hi @BagaleChetan, I’m sorry you had a bad experience with the Mutton Nihari. I always share my honest thoughts from my visits. I understand food quality can vary, and it’s disappointing when things don’t meet expectations. Have you tried reaching out to the restaurant to see if they can offer a replacement or address your concern? Sometimes they are open to feedback and willing to make it right.”
I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. There are far better options for non-vegetarian food in Camp, and Kondhwa. We ordered the tandoori barra, and it was extremely ordinary. For a restaurant that claims to be one of the oldest in India, their preparation lacked the finesse and flavor one would expect. Next, we tried the mutton seekh, which was passable at best-I've had much better in Kondhwa. When we asked for a spicy gravy dish based on their recommendation, we were disappointed yet again. Not only was it far from spicy, but the flavor was bland and unimpressive, reminiscent of something you'd find at a roadside stall-and honestly, many street vendors would do a better job. Given the high prices, the quality and taste were completely unjustifiable. This place is not worth the time or money. Do yourself a favor and explore other options nearby.

Karims is more advertisement gimmick it is not as good as advertised by blogger like him but i have eaten even at the jama mazid center and like nothing. Everything is stupid in taste worse is the biryani. It more hyped with stories pf its past and all. If this is what the mugal kings eat then being a common man is much better.
