    Hello Corey!
    This series is absolutely amazing, it's exactly what I was looking for - a real world project code-along where I can learn how programming is actually done.
    That being said, I really hope thay one day you'll make a tutorial on how you'd containerize this and maybe even make a few microservices.

    I would like to see how a category hierarchical system and a tagging system is built. These goes hand by hand with a search function

    Hi thanks Corey. Fantastic tutorials, in fact I'd say the best flask tutorials yet. I have everything setup and running on Ngynx on linode. However, I would like to add a few more fields in particular a last updated field. Could you show us the best way to do this? I have had a search but I haven't managed to turn up much to match the quality stuff that you put out. Also, I saw how you were able to add database fields initially but now the database management, with respect to any extra fields that I wish to add, appears to be more in depth now the project was split up into the blueprints.

    First off, thank you for making these tutorials. I’ve gone through a handful of different tutorials over the past few months and yours are the best...by far! Using this tutorial I’ve set up my own flask site but am having issues when it comes to refreshing the data. My site runs a webscraping app but only reruns the scripts if I reboot the server. I thought maybe setting up a Cron job to run Gunicorn might work but activating the venv and running Gunicorn in one job doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve watched your Cron tutorial and checked stack overflow and tried different things but nothing has seemed to work so far. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

    like and comment before watch. recently been asked about production code, and things about production experience, could you talk a little bit about production code and development code and what do they mean when asking about production code. Thanks a ton

    • @coreyms
      @coreyms  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there. There are a few different things someone could mean. When I think of production code vs development, there are some key difference. First of all, your debug settings are turned off. Also, your production code uses productions databases and services that development code shouldn't use. In development you should have a dev database and things like that. You don't want your production database to be affected by any testing. Those are a couple differences off the top of my head.
