I adore the fact that Tom specifically asks for "soaring, anthemic, hopeful" music, and when Matt switches on the tune, the captions also specifically state it as "soaring anthemic hopeful music." Between this and the "Trying Hot Ones" video, it seems to me that Tom has the best caption team on TH-cam - clear and concise, but with a keen sense of humor.
I usually use captions all the time when watching TV/Netflix/Hulu/etc but I stopped with TH-cam captions a few years ago because so many people either didn't have them or used auto-generated ones which aren't the best (though a few times I've used them to understand a word I couldn't quite catch) I cannot overstate how much I enjoy captions like Tom's and, if more people had this kind of quality, I'd happily switch back to using captions. It's so nice to have a throwback to the Matt and Tom times, and I love that it's (almost) 100% frivolous in the best possible way. It even has a bird interruption!
Worth it for the birds of prey meeting. They're the closest we can get to divinity in this dimension.

Tom: Hello
Owl: AHHH
god i missed seeing videos with matt a lot, you two have the best dynamic :D
Living near Pratt's Bottom, I think it's to do with the Pratt family that lived here, and Bottom meaning valley as it's at a lower point in the area! (With the A21 running past)
How dare you attempt to bring logic into this wholesome trip of two great friends?
Or perhaps one of the members of the Pratt family had an incredible derriere that had to be commemorated.
I LOVE TOM AND MATT BEING TOGETHER ON SCREEN AT THE SAME TIME
This is the right level of immaturity and hilarity. I absolutely love it.
This feels like a such glorious blast from the past just Matt and Tom hanging out and making jokes
Tom should do a video about the science of why Matt's laugh is so infectious
Matt's giggle loop is my go-to video for feeling better instantly
Good to see you guys together again. Laughed at the phone ringing reactions every time. Thanks for a fun 20 minutes as always. ❤
I needed this, the chemistry you too have together is just great. Also I appreciate the name card being added for the birds as well
You know what... This was awesome. Great to see you and matt together in a video again. Always love your dynamic. Also the owls... Awesome. My sister was big in the birds of Prey scene... So I got to visit a few aviaries 20 years ago. I really love birds of prey, displays are awesome to visit as well. I got to see "behind the scenes" and feed the birds that were not been flown during displays. (they have a rotation of birds so they never over stress a bird flying displays.)
I would love to see Tom Scott plus the rest of the Tech Dif lads (individually or altogether, down to scheduling I’m sure, and I feel like Chris with Tom would be the most interesting but Gary with Tom would be the funniest)
It would be cool to see what they could do with them being with Tom Scott individually. Apart from Matt Gray, we have only really seen them as a group.
11:57 In Pittsburgh there is a bar named "Souper Bowl", which does indeed serve soup as well as beer. Though its across the street from the hockey arena, not the football stadium.
