lol I feel you on the part when you said they think you’re an accountant too. I’m a HR Coordinator and I’m always being sent invoices 🤣 it’s so annoying

Hi I’d like to consider getting an office job and I was wondering what steps you took in college? What your major was?

hey girl! when I first went to college I really did not know what I wanted to do. I was actually pre med at first but that didn't last long lol. So I went to community college for the 1st 2 years then to an actual university to finish out my degree. I got my degree in Business Administration because that covers a broad array of business related subjects and by the time you graduate you would have taken classes in almost all areas of business.
while college was my route, I would advise you to get specific certifications instead of the degree if you know what field you want to go in already. College was amazing but unless the jobs you are interested in require a bachelor's degree, do not waste your time. Also, job shadowing or interning is great for your resume and it shows employers that you have some experience along with those certifications. I know this answer was long but I hope it helped. Feel free to ask any more questions you have!
