    Guys and gals at park tool, what a great idea to bring in Seth to get this channel more exposure. Park tool repair videos have taught me so much and I do most repairs on my own now thanks to them, thank you guys so much for your videos. Thanks Seth for getting with these guys and helping people discover these repair videos. Bravo!

    Checklist is endless if you want to be thorough. Don't forget to true the wheels, replace bad spokes, clean and check headset bearings, bleed the brakes, align the brake calipers, straighten brake rotors, service suspension, check chainline and adjust with spacers, clean and regrease the rear hub, replace all the frame bearings for fresh ones, clean rim and inside of tyres, tape the rims, replace valve, measure chain, replace cassette and chainring, calculate new chain length if any changes are made, exchange gear tubing and wire, service the rear derailler clutch and clean the pulleys, and tune the gears, install middrive electrical motor, wire up the speed sensor, display and 18 ampere battery without killing yourself. Hurry up - spring is coming!
    And yes, these are all things I did to my bikes this winter, and now I can't even ride because the streets are covered in ice like a frozen lake. Waiting for studded tyres and then I will be riding again.

    Good morning, you can do a maintenance of the Shox vivid Air R2C 2012, because mine is defective, and I can not fix it. Would you also like to know if I can replace nitrogen with normal Air Pump? Thank you. it would also have to show this maintenance in the IFP. Or I could do the maintenance of some Shox that had these two compartments, the Air is the oil, so I can build up the courage and be able to do maintenance on mine, because in my city it does not do maintenance and I would have to send the Shox to a city that is more than 1000 kilometers from mine. Thanks. I'm form Brasil

    Seth quick question. I ride to work everyday. What do you recommend for a bike lock? Keep up the hard work man your awesome

    • @parktool
      @parktool  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Seth might not see this one as its not on his channel but i would take a look at where you will be leaving your bike. Think downtown New York City vs. a rural farm community in Nebraska. The likelihood of it being stolen in NYC is much higher. Thus you will need a larger lock. So it comes down to where you will be locking up your bike. I typically suggest going to your local bike shop and asking them as they have the most experience in that area. Hope this helps!

    • @suspicioustumbleweed4760
      @suspicioustumbleweed4760 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Park Tool No lock works against an electric grinder. I’d say the most important thing is time. Your lock will protect your bike from casual theft, the thicker the lock, the more committed they have to be. A rural community might be worse because of the lack of witnesses making carrying heavy tools easier.

      Don't leave a bike outside that you can't afford to lose? Get a nineties second hand mountain bike for $20 and put slick tires on it. Nothing is safe from a battery powered angle grinder.
