Mind you, Overlord is a sequel of sorts. Dollhouse is prior. Here's a couple of things missed in this viewing: 1. Dude that kept getting shot down with dry responses seems to be the guy they were asking to theorize earlier on. When he started talking, that's what he got instead. No wonder he said he had no clue the first time they asked for his opinion. 2. They let the reinforced door close on them because it's a "door". That means it opens from inside, but if anybody tries to attack them from the back, they have to deal with the keypad outside. 3. The SCP being worshipped and found in the mirror is a Cognito Hazard. You need the camera to "see" it, but if you see it, you go mad and die, maybe later become one of those invisible cultist SCPs. 4. The mirror is likely a doorway to another dimension. 5. The "holes" on the ground that they found are actually where those giant tentacles were sprouting out from. Remember, they didn't have the camera then so they couldn't see it. Given the size of the hole they found, those tentacles are gigantic. 6. The "floating missing people" near the property are not "floating" but as shown by the camcorder, they are being held up there by the tentacles-albeit just not visible to the naked eye. 7. If I'm not mistaken, this film had the budget of $20,000. Dollhouse which came out prior had a budget of $500. The actors in this film include some people here on TH-cam like OperatorDrewski. I'm unsure, but I think some of them have had military/law enforcement experience if I'm not mistaken.
I've seen people Favor Kolinski because he's smart, Lambert because he's Cool, Besson because he acts like how they would act as well, Ceciro because he's relatable, but I've never seen anyone Enjoy Jansen's Mood as much as I do, great Reaction, can't wait for their stalker fan film It's gonna be so good
“Why does the medical take so long but the bombs are ready in seconds” one word for you Paws, America. We may not specialize in heathcare but we do specialize in Un-healthcare
For a more serious answer, helicopters need time to spool up and (taking the UH 60 Black Hawk as an example) only travel at around 295 kph at full tilt. Smoke rounds from say an L16 81mm mortar on the other hand shoot out at 225m/s (810 kph) or if they're really serious and they're using something like an MM120G Rak self propelled mortar then those rounds are screaming in at up to 500m/s (1800kph)
@@firestorm165 I thought it was because the medics would be outside the perimeter, not going inside the range of the house (or whatever the anomaly was).
Combo of fabian and firestorm. You don't put medical *on site* in these situations, and their medic didn't have gear to deal with a violent neck stab. Hard to deal with even in a good environment that, let alone with an unknown adversary.
Is it prudent to run towards the danger? Probably not, but sometimes that's what trained professionals, firefighters, police officer, soldiers, etc, have to do.
RTB: Return To Base ROE: Rules Of Engagement ISR: Infrared Satellite Radar QRF: Quick Response Force (Essentially reinforcements that are on standby near the operation) Overwatch: A group in charge of being an eye in the sky, keeping track of everything in the area. MTF: Mobile Task Force Exfil: Exfiltration, which is leaving the mission area.
ISR in this context stands for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance. Generally speaking radars use radio emissions, not infrared. Thermals do pick up infrared well outside the visual spectrum of light but work fundamentally differently than a radar does. Overwatch is a term that applies to multiple things but they aren't necessarily airborne, eye in the sky kind of falls into ISR type assets. Usually on the tactical level overwatch would be pulled by a unit that keeps an eye on things but that can also intervene on the behalf of the units they are covering, whether that be a vehicle like a Bradley on overwatch for the rest of its platoon or a sniper team covering advancing infantry. Going on overwatch in this context implies a degree of ability and readiness to protect the units you are watching over.
from what I understand the hole is implied to be where a tentacle is coming out and that the whole "overlord" is down in the basement connected to the mirror/bas relief and the guy who died holding the cam was choked out by it for looking
@baronofplagues yeah, this looked to me like the classic eldritch horror move. you look at something you cannot comprehend by design and it drives you mad.
I have three fun facts about SCP: Overlord. 1. They had to do all the scenes because they only had a day to record. 2. The guy that got stabbed by nothing actually fell over and if I am correct they had to go with the guy being stabbed because of that. 3. One of the guy’s didn’t let go of the pin of the smoke grenade and had to flick it off his hand (style). I know this because Operatordrewski made a video on his experience and the inner workings of the film :)
I just rewatched the bit of the video that I was talking about and I realized I mixed two parts up. One guy falls in one of the scenes but it wasn’t the guy that got stabbed though there is a part about that bit, I also went back and looked at the grenade part an Drewski said he still had it on his finger on accident (based on his video). I’m going to edit one bit on the original comment that wasn’t too big of a part.
Also the guy that got his throat cut was the TH-camr scp illustrated, now just mr illustrated. And he was actually choking on water during that for the effect
The hand the hand was to show that, briefly, 1-1 was alive but weak, but he's stopped moving entirely after they call in the KIA. I'm pretty sure this is to add to the fact that MTF agents, while technically disposable, are actual people who have friends and families and they waited until there were no signs of life before having to give up on 1-1 instead of just going "he's a goner" while he's still breathing.
These are common military terms: exfil means exfiltration or basically sneaking out of an area whereas infiltration is sneaking into an area. RTB is return to base, I highly recommend checking out the behind the scenes video on this, even just on your own time. It shows their directing team with military consultants going through things with them as far as how to move etc. it's VERY well produced and directed for such a small team.
Additionally: ISR = intelligence surveillance reconnaissance aka the eyes and ears of an organization. QRF=quick response force, generally called in to assist units that get engaged they're kind of like the first available backup or follow up units if you get into trouble.
Great explanation, but I would say for exfil and infil doesn’t necessarily mean sneaking in or out, but just getting in or out based on mission parameters
As far as those pictures stapled to the trees, I think that was the dozen or so missing people, part of the reason the team had been sent in to investigate. Perhaps a way for the cult to taunt the SCP team. And when the one team member started filming the burning effigy to document it, the others ignored it not because they couldn't see it, but because it is unwise for everyone to stop focusing on their surroundings. It's a good way to get hit by something you might otherwise have seen coming.
I love Reyes's line about "If there's another option besides becoming 1-1, you let me know" because 1) answering to the council CAN'T be fun, and 2) bad judgement doesn't just get him killed now, it gets everyone killed and nobody WANTS that burden.
I love how the agents have actual reasons they'd be on the team. Kolinski is the thinker who wants answers, Jansen and Lambert are the quintessential MTF agents, they stay in their lane and do their job, Cicero is clearly morale support, and Reyes is the guy who just wants to get shit done.
Bombing is easy because down goes faster up to terminal velocity of an object, but up fights gravity so it's a lot harder. Also, they literally never get to extract in the film, MTF aren't allowed to exfil with the job unfinished. They either get wiped out and replaced by another MTF unit or finish the job they were assigned.
8:38 holy shit paws, I realized something at this timestamp: Nine posters. Nine commune leaders. It's as if those 9 people put their mugshots up as a combination threat, warning & invitation. It also indicates that they are no longer missing as _humans_ & have their old faces as a reminder that they were human but are now part of something unexpectedly bigger. They're now one part of the Overlord, it's massive tree-root like extensions at the end of the video had, in & of themselves, taken root _INTO_ its victims. This SCP is now officially either 1) a Maksov-Class entity; or 2) a Thaumial-Class entity With no known detectable range of reach. What we see could just be a branch of something so much more vast. *_And certainly apocalyptic._*
So glad Paws has stumbled upon Evan Royalty's work! Some of his other work encompasses Dollhouse - as mentioned here -, First Contact and Ghost Town, my personal favorite
The budget for this thing was about 23k dollars, I think. Also, Mandeville is an astronomy term from Warhammer 40k. The Mandeville Point is the point far enough from the star system at which it's safe to enter FTL. Basically, the team in the movie has just entered the area where any movement, including escape, is dangerous.
Yes, depending on how the Foundation decides the order in which certain linked anomalies are created, the camera would be marked as SCP-???-1/2/3/etc (I think it's highly unlikely that the camera itself IS SCP-??? because that means everything else stems from the camera and the giant tentacle monster and suicide cult didn't seem to care much about the camera.
A thorough investigation via MTF agents on the ground is required because it allows the scientists to formulate a Special Containment Procedure or SCP for the anomaly. Epsilon-6 isn't even necessarily the team that is tasked with containment, and probably wouldn't given that Scepter 1-1 is down.
29:30 it was told during the briefing that Nu-7 "Hammer Down" is on standby and ready to support them with heavy weaponry Cuz hammer down got artillery platoon, aircraft platoon, attack helicopter platoon, tank platoon and armored vehicle platoon and in thus case I think they are using the artillery platoon along with their surveillance Cuz hammer down is the largest MTF Even the E-11 "Nine Tailed Fox" is on QRF along with the "Mole Rat" which was sent when they found the hole on the ground while E-11 was sent when "Village Idiots" (the people who infiltrated) exfil the compound
The crazy thing is that in the breifing scene 8 different mobile task forces are listed as being sent in. 8 MTFs is a massive fuckin force. Most scps only get 1 maybe 2 MTFs dedicated to it. Whatever this anomaly is it is super fuckin dangerous
Seeing as you're getting into SCP, I'd recommend the "There is no Antimemetics Division" series, fourth episode comes out this tuesday. It's pretty fun, and they do a good job portraying the story.
Those are fliers for the missing people, not the MTF agents. MTF agents are tools to be used by the O5 council as necessary and, while they have lives outside of the Foundation, the Foundation WILL either forcibly terminate or administer Class C, D, or F amnestics to any compromised agents.
Pro tips : 1. Never look the mirror 2. Never touch the mirror 3. Make the mirror face the wall 4. If you have to break the mirror, make it so it reflect the least of your body (no reflexion of your body is the best) and don't look it when you break it, if you can't break it without it reflect you, do your best and close your eyes and turned your head when you're break it 5. Do not trust the mirror, it may lie
Evac requires a helicopter to arrive depending on the nearest airbase that can take a while. Bombing a target requires a predator drone which can hit a target up to 460 miles or 740 km. A black hawk which typically are used for Evacs have a deployment range of around 1200 miles. This means the predator drone can nearly hit a target from the range that the Evac helis can fly. So if you launch a drone from the same air base it can be hitting targets essentially from from the base. Also they keep talking to Helios who is the greek sun god so most likely they have a B-17 Flying Fortress. Support Flying fortresses will stay away and very high so they cannot be seen and depending on the configuration they can mark targets for the predator drones. Have a target marked someone described the accuracy of the predator drone "if there is a person in a group of people and it fired a rock that guy is going to have a bad day and everyone else will be fine".
>they're getting a military briefing I mean, that's MTF Epsilon-6, aka the Village Idiots. MTF meaning mobile task force, btw, and there's a LOT of them.
36:47 "that's some hentai shit" looks like it at first glance. But the ends of those roots are planted at the brainstems from behind to be better able to puppeteer the then former human/now SCP serviles. It's probably using them as eyes above the treeline. So it had already known that these C-Class enforcements were dilly-dallying on it's land. But seeing how big the tendrils are, as I have said already, those are more than likely just a speck of mass. Thus it's quite possible The Overlord likely covers an entire landmass, or even multiple continents. It's not containable. They're going to need to deal with this thing like they did with the Maksov-Class SCP Anomalous entity, "The Broken God.", where they had to summon another Maksov or Thaumial class SCP that's effectively an ally & protector of planets, "The Guardian's Hand", to destroy The Broken God to its individual parts (I apologize to my fellow SCP Foundation Members if I have gotten its name wrong, but it's an anomaly typically located in Saturn's orbit awaiting the call to action, though it's been sighted in Jupiter's, Uranus's & Neptune's orbits, though it's rare those instances are ever sighted).
Reyes isn't even the boss, that would be 1-1, Lambert. Reyes is just like that, it's pretty common in the MTFs. ESPECIALLY Alpha-1, The Red Right Hand, and Epsilon-11, Nine Tailed Fox, since the former only take direct orders from the O5 council and the latter only takes orders from Alpha-1 AND are the on-site MTF deployed for containment breaches, aka the times that kill the most Foundation members in total.
30:27 tbrwy, paws, I think the anomalous cultist entity could be doing more than just puking; it could also be that, in using chemical gas for whatever the reason, it straight up melts the entity's ecto-organic flesh off it's ecto-skeleton in just mere seconds. But I'm just like that to go out of my way to make things seem more... Painful by the description, or revolting by going off of how difficult the camcorder quality is, but making things become complicated but not taking it to ridiculous extremes. Keep in mind, this is how I analyze SCP creepypasta elements & my ideas come my mind as someone who has been writing his own really vivid or dreamily feverish creepypastas before the term *"[_____]-pasta(s)"* was a thing.
In one of the previous scenes where it shows them in the air, you can see them slightly swaying in the air. I thought "there is something moving them", but had no idea how creepy it would be.
0:56 that's basically spec ops, but better. They are the thing that you see in movies or call of duty type games. And if you dealing with things like them you need briefing before it, there is always something new
Can you react to SCP Mobile Task Force Explained, you'll understand each Task Force, also they would have sent the"Gardeners" to handle any plant anomalies
I hate that people are introducing her to the more popular videos first, instead of gradually building up to them. but eh, what can I do. It's not like all the SCP articles themselves are written in chronological order (especially in the beginning).
Counterpoint, many people care little for quality and more for connections to things they like. You start people on the best and if they're into it, they are more willing to consume lower quality content. Whereas they're less likely to get into it, and more likely to deride it, if it's low quality they engage with first!
Hey, so...kinda random, but if you're looking for some more reaction content I'd recommend "In Defence of the Crusader Tank" and "The Great Ocean Liner Duel" by Lazerpig.

Support Flying fortresses will stay away and very high so they cannot be seen and depending on the configuration they can mark targets for the predator drones. Have a target marked someone described the accuracy of the predator drone "if there is a person in a group of people and it fired a rock that guy is going to have a bad day and everyone else will be fine".
>they're getting a military briefing
I mean, that's MTF Epsilon-6, aka the Village Idiots. MTF meaning mobile task force, btw, and there's a LOT of them.
This gives me definite false hydra vibes
36:47 "that's some hentai shit" looks like it at first glance. But the ends of those roots are planted at the brainstems from behind to be better able to puppeteer the then former human/now SCP serviles. It's probably using them as eyes above the treeline. So it had already known that these C-Class enforcements were dilly-dallying on it's land. But seeing how big the tendrils are, as I have said already, those are more than likely just a speck of mass. Thus it's quite possible The Overlord likely covers an entire landmass, or even multiple continents. It's not containable. They're going to need to deal with this thing like they did with the Maksov-Class SCP Anomalous entity, "The Broken God.", where they had to summon another Maksov or Thaumial class SCP that's effectively an ally & protector of planets, "The Guardian's Hand", to destroy The Broken God to its individual parts (I apologize to my fellow SCP Foundation Members if I have gotten its name wrong, but it's an anomaly typically located in Saturn's orbit awaiting the call to action, though it's been sighted in Jupiter's, Uranus's & Neptune's orbits, though it's rare those instances are ever sighted).
ur laugh brings my soul up give ur bawls a tug 😂
Mobile Task Force Alpha-1 "The Red Right Hand" had been dispatched to you're location........
One of us one of us
Hey paws, I recommend SCP 354 or the red lake that one’s really interesting I really like it. also I love your content.❤❤❤
I used to be friends with an extra in this project
I can confirm that there is a 177013 reference, I won't be elaborating further
The model is actually quite cute
OMG, that model is gorgeous!
of course they don't give a fuck, they do these things on daily basis XD
Oh dang, we're going hard straight up to Overlord after Dollhouse.
Hope you'll check out The Shy Man short movie too~
Oh! They made a movie....anyway~♫
35:43 Guess they're not floating...
Also i would recommend checking out "096" by MrKlay.
afaik the budget for this was around 20 thousand dollars.
In one of the previous scenes where it shows them in the air, you can see them slightly swaying in the air. I thought "there is something moving them", but had no idea how creepy it would be.
0:56 that's basically spec ops, but better. They are the thing that you see in movies or call of duty type games. And if you dealing with things like them you need briefing before it, there is always something new
Always happy when I see you uplode
Here for my daily dose of Paws ❤
Oh yeah baby!!! More scp!!! I literally find this channel because i want more someone react to scp
ur tail to happy😂
Can you react to SCP Mobile Task Force Explained, you'll understand each Task Force, also they would have sent the"Gardeners" to handle any plant anomalies
37:18 How did we get to "vines" tag?
Bro that avatar change does things, to me.
@@Force2reckonVodsLower quality? What do you mean by lower quality?
I Do NOT! RECOGNIZE! The BODY'S! In! The! AIR!
hold out ur hand
Keep it up, watch the shy guy short film if you like this one, it's more scary in my opinion
I'll check it out, thank you!
It's named just 096 by Mr Krlay@@pawsvtuber
RTB means return to base, Paws.
effing hands
operatordrewski plays the part of Cicero If you like arma content check his channel out.
Hey, so...kinda random, but if you're looking for some more reaction content I'd recommend "In Defence of the Crusader Tank" and "The Great Ocean Liner Duel" by Lazerpig.
I feel like a good deal of choas could be had, soundbiting her saying "I would not be the first prophet to be betrayed by one so close to him" ... just saying!
honestly with the sh!t they have to see a burning wood figure is a normal tuesday
I'm curious what the anomalous camera would have picked up looking at it.
Oh this is a good one
i think she doesn't get the lore about these soldier being SCP containment soldiers so they are used to these horrible things that's why they don't react
No, I get it, but even if you're used to something, you still look, being unphased and not even throwing a gaze in that direction is weirder, since they of all people should be more wary imo
@@pawsvtuber i mean they looked. But if you live in the scp facility you'd understand how a flaming cross is the least of your concern compare to a small bowl of candy that says "only take 3"
scp task mobile ur back yard
