As a zombie fanatic, I remember finding this movie and thought it would have been a blast. I can't remember anything about this movie besides the dude converting into a zombie in less than 10 seconds with rotting skin and that weird spider zombie that appeared for one scene for some reason because they were undeniably hilarious. My disappointment was immeasurable when I kept watching, thinking it would get better when I could've just watched the original instead.
Yeah, I'm recovering from Necrotizing Fasciitis (the fastest-spread necrotizing infection that exists) and it spreads across your flesh at a rate of 1 inch per hour. No WAY somebody's entire body could be completely rotting in 10 seconds lol
Welcome to Carnage Counts, where we count the chaos in TV shows and movies! 📽💀 Today, we're dissecting 'Day of the Dead' (2008), a remake so forgettable you might need a zombie to bite your face off to remember it. 🧟♂ Straying far from the 1985 classic, this version serves up more unintentional laughs than scares, thanks to its awkward dialogue and bizarre zombie antics. Let’s dive in and see how this peculiar take on the undead holds up in our carnage count! 🍿🔪
hey, can you do a carnage count on Cockney vs Zombies movie, it has old people with machine guns in it, and it also teach us a good lesson how to deal with zombies that have a metal plate in their heads.
I loved the og, hated this one... Feels like Syfy channel trying to do a remake. Feels like the "mom can we get Day of the Dead?" "No son, we have day of the dead at home"
The Syfy one... had a very different plot... there's no zombie apocalypse... it was a zombie infestation on a small, yet big town or city... and it only remained there, cause some sort of... source causes the dead to reactivate... which is some ... contaminated water from a mine. They got the "Rhodes" character right, a simple; an annoying, big-shot, asshole of a man... who even tries to kill a few of the supposed "MCs"... and his death was satisfying but not enough juice... Bub? Oh Man... they really butchered that fan-favorite... it was just a name given on a worker's jean-jacket. And the Bub character was simply a man/father of one of the MCs... and he didn't even use a gun that part I wanted to see if he still maintained his mind... But, Nope... If they ever remake this 1985 classic; I hope it's done more thoroughly... I know for the fact there's three remakes... the one from 2008, 2017, and now 2021...
@@Malum09 Was more of a joke ending, as the car is driving away, a secondary exit to the bunker is suddenly kicked open, and the black guy walks out grumbling about stuff like What, the black guy always dies? Been a long time since I saw it so can't remember the exact words.
Now that you mention it, yeah I don't ever see Women get eaten by Zombies. They usually die from a Bite, Fatal Injury, Gunshot, Stab, basically any way to die, except from being swarmed by Zombies.
@@smokedaddy3d_ yeah I really never understand why they had to die different ways... like I just seen Cinderella curse.. gore cinderella low budge film.. she rips apart people.. the gore great but there monsters involved , guess what the hot step sisters are not eaten.. some how the prince is eaten... honestly not even the eviliest female characters are eaten.. the step sisters got their bodyies ripped apart by rouge cinderella instead...
@@smokedaddy3d_ you are the only one also that reponded saying how women die in most films.. that involve people being eaten.... directors are so fickle ur gonna kill off women have them be ripped apart.. but guess what dude.. when they do get swarmed it right away off screen... or it not even shocking enough it little bites on leg and arms.. u see tiny marks.. it honestly keeps happening dude.. same goes for shark films. croc films. any monster films...
Thanks for all your uploads! Sometimes I just wanna see the good stuff from these movies, especially when it's a boring/terrible movie but has some good gore or kills.
Probably the third time I've seen you need to reupload this video but I'll always stop to watch it because the wall hack zombie who runs along the ceiling is hilarious every time.
In my opinion, this is THE worst "of the dead" movie of all time! Growling zombies?! Ninja zombies?!? SPIDERMAN zombies?!? (1:50) Uninteresting characters (I cant tell you any of their names... ) The director missed ALL the marks he could with this stinker. And the Spiderman Zombie was THE moment I dropped the movie. Tried watching it on a later day and I found out it gets worse. Inconsistent zombies (they all seem to be super powerful zombies but are at most half as effective when they're fighting the MCs), some of the decisions the character makes baffled me... zombies flailing and shooting guns... yea no thanks AND, the biggest insult of them all, the movie was BORING. outside action pieces... the whole thing was a major bore with the capital zzz
Maybe someday, I've tried to watch it a few times and I just can't pay attention, it's just, I don't know, something isn't right about it for me. Maybe the way it was filmed or the filter, I'm not sure, just visually hard for me to focus on.
Does anyone know if the whole Italian zombie film naming convention is still used today? As in, was Borat released as 'American Pie 7' or something similar in some regions?
1:49-1:52 Why in the hell did that zombie need to crawl on the ceiling? This movie does not deserve to be called a remake of George A. Romero's original. This was truly garbage.
This movie's awful. And when it comes to if zombies should run? That's debatable, but here's my ruling: If you couldn't move / run like that when you were alive, you shouldn't be able to do that when you're undead. And I'm sorry, this movie definitely lost me with that one zombie that was crawling on the ceiling (among other reasons) hahaha
In my opinion, it’s the best remake in regards to quality.. least in comparison to its pre-sequel and whatever the heck Bloodlines was. Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Contagium and its cast of characters.. save for the baldy running the place who armed his guards to shoot anyone living OR undead..
@@CarnageCounts Yeah, of course my favorite character in that one was Sam.. I don’t know why, but his antics always made me laugh. As for Bloodlines, I don’t know who to hate more.. the zombie stalker known as Max or that film’s version of Miguel Salazar. We sure his name isn’t Rhodes, cuz he acts a lot like the original one.. and I hate him for that, especially how he treats Zoe’s attempts at finding a cure like it’s meaningless and shooting someone just because it’s not ready yet!
Nick Cannon definitely has less kills than kids

"My Netflix queue keeps rejecting it"

In this film false ending nick cannon character actually lives!
Not yet anyway!

This is still the one zombie movie that I always loved the alternate ending that you could see in the dvd version.
It had one? What's that ending about?

Maybe, but as for me that is worst remake Romero's classic I seen as far.

You seem to have killed zombies in these Carnage Count intros and outros. Maybe make a Carnage Count of the zombies you have killed.
I love this kill count thank you Carnage counts
I love this remake. The title is off because most of the film takes place at night so it should be called "Night of the Living Dead".
Creepy Ending:
They didn't stop the virus
the two zombies just walking in an alleyway draging a person
I should remember to algorithm you more often with comments.

Nick Cannon has 36 kills
Mena Suvari has 33 kills

I am convinced that this is gonna be just some generic zombie film but Universal slapped the name on it to cash on the 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake.
Day of the (Brain) Dead would be a more accurate title.
