whether you like peter eisenman or not you've got to admit: (a) he's lucid, analogies on point (b) very well read, knows his architecture (c) willing to admit that there are other points of view or perspectives out there on the subject that he can't operate from, and willing to engage in polemic to justify his own grounds without believing his view is the *only* view (d) is respectful to those he debates with, but then again jacques herzog seems to be a friend. I take his "arrogance" to be provocation. His statements are concrete, tangible ideas that can actually be wrestled with.
seen a fair bit of peter eisenman by now... i don't think he's the peer of, or master of, 'thinker starchitects' that he thinks he is... which of course doesn't have much to do with architecture itself~ i reckon he would be well served by laying off claiming all of his utterances as his own and being more suggestive, rather than declarative.

I started watching this in 2014. Now it's the end of 2018 and the moderator is still talking.
The ending was superb:
"Peter, You're going to miss your bus"
:D

@14:32 in the realm of Richard Serra's passing. this is an interest story Eisenman shared.

that moderator sounds like he is in way over his head.
peter eisenmann is cranky smh
Ouroboros Nagyok so are you hahaha
It is difficult to listen to Eisenman. His monologues are just continuous streams of self justification. His dogmatism is rather unsettling.
