It is hard to bring your power up from a lower weight, you are now facing naturally bigger men. As a matter of fact while were on the subject of Cotto, that's why Cotto is not the same puncher at 154lbs he was at 140 or 147 LOL Of course you loose power when you drop weight too, but it's well known that it's pretty hard to carry power up with you. Roy Jones moved all the way to heavyweight, still didn't hit like one because he was not a real heavyweight.
Going to be an interesting fight however i think paulie got this he had emotion now but when he enters the ring he will be focused, he is a professional

Cotto broke his jaw/fractured his orbital bone.. How do we know Broner's power is bigger than Cotto @ 147, when he's kept light? Paulie can't hit, but he can stop a 5'11 real welterweight. Not to mention Broner asked Malignaggi "how to go 10 rounds" before fighting Ponce, who came up in weight for that fight also. Ponce is also a southpaw, but smaller with less skills - still he easily limited Broner's workrate, with his jab playing a key role.. Now Imagine if that was Paulie in that fight lol.
Also, I like Paulie, but I like Broner more...much more. He's the future of boxing, everyone can see it, even the haters. Believe me, with the exception of Floyd, if Paulie the "Magic Man" was going against anybody else I'd be rooting for him. But I can't rock with him this fight, anyone who knows boxing knows that Paulie can't beat Broner. Simple and plan; Broner is the more skilled, dynamic fighter, he's better than Paulie in every attribute. This will be one of Broner's easiest fight.

Diego Corrales was a beast at 135 lbs. He fights Clottey at 147lbs & has no power. Trinidad was a beast at 147lbs. Tito had nothing for BHop at 160lbs & nothing for RJJ at 175lbs. Way better fighters than Broner, but their power did not move up in weight with them.
But if he (broner) tightens up his defense and quits showboating he will be very good.
Pauline really came out of this press conference exposed. He spent most of the time talking about irrelevant things rather than just saying that he was ready for broner. Broner clearly got into his head and had already won the fight. Even during the fight Pauline was getting into taunting matches instead of boxing. If you look at broner, his defense allows for him to get caught but his mouth might save him for now as he clearly can get into guys heads.

This is a toss up fight. Adrien Broner is like 5'5". He's not 5'10" like Amir Khan. We won't know if his power will move up 2 weight classes with him until fight night. Broner is not Floyd. Broner gets hit way, too much. There's a chance that Paulie frustrates Broner with the jab all night. Broner has been fighting cab drivers thus far. We'll find out Sat night.
