    I stumbled upon your channel because I'm curious about food delivery life post pandemic and binged watch your videos. Also, thanks for being very detailed in your explaination. I find it very infomative and feel like doing back food delivery [grab] after 1-2 years of inactivity... Keep it up and Selamat Hari Raya !

      👋🏼 Hi Nash! Thank you for your lovely comment! I think the food delivery eco system has changed a lot within the past 2 years and am sure you have your own adventures to share.
      If you are ever in cck or bukit panjang on weekends, look me up! My contact can be found in the description below 😃

    Deliveroo really gives the true meaning of flexibility in terms of orders cancellation. Even when there's a large orders, they will dispatch 2 riders and you can split half of the orders (gets paid the same fares). Fares really worth it during surge hours.

      I still need to get a lot more experience doing roo. I thought I do grab so roo will be the same. However it seems like I am starting from day 1.😥

    I do deliveroo occasionally too bro. Bukit panjang to yew tee $11 consider very good. Even for grab the rate is like $7+ for motorcyclist. Roo cyclist and motorcycle seems to have the same amount of fare compared to grab

      👋🏼 bro! Thank you for sharing this! I feel a bit lost doing roo. It seems like Lot 1 is a dead zone especially with the food court closed for reno.
      One fellow rider requested me to try bukit panjang as hillion mall and bukit panjang plaza have a higher concentration of roo merchants compared to Lot 1. If really like that I have to seriously consider getting am ebike as this ah pek cannot tahan the hilly terrain at bukit panjang.

    Glad to see more Roo content bro! Btw, don't be shy to reject orders when it doesn't work in your favour (late prep time, distance etc). I once rejected over 10 orders till I get the orders that I like. This advantage is why I do Roo more than Panda :)
    For me, once I wait 10 mins or more, I reject and move on. Trust me bro, the "favoured" or "syiok" orders will come in eventually 👍🏼

      Thx for the tip! I guess i am so used to Grab's system that I feel guilty when i reject roo orders 😆. I guess as i do more roo orders as well as great advice from fellow riders like you I will get used to it. 👍🏻

    Nowadays I prefer to do roo part-time over Grab but in SGBK with motorcycle. The ability to reject orders without penalty is so damn important and I dont get pushed out of the zone by much unlike Grab where u can end up in the other part of the island. And of coz the upfront delivery fees which arent hidden behind incentives. But cant deny that Grab has more non-stop orders. But the freedom to reject....Roo wins it for me.

      For incentives such as weekend is acceptance rate is 75%. Lower than Grab - 90%..😅

    • @grabadventures
      @grabadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that is based on special incentives. Besides the incentives offered by roo seems to be applicable to more popular zones or motorbike riders. SGBC I could only get 4 orders in 4 hours. I need to deliver more for roo to understand the full impact. 😃

    • @grabadventures
      @grabadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi bro. Roo merchants are far fewer compared to grab and panda. Chances are 50 50 that riders will get far pickups if there are no orders within the vicinity you are at.

  • @laijinsen2869

    You can also trying starting roo at home until you get a order. You might just get the 4fingers near your place

    • @grabadventures
      @grabadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bro! You just made me realize something! I kept applying my grab method of working to roo which is where i realize I am making a mistake. As roo zone is already set I don't need to cycle to Lot 1 and then turn on the app. I can simply go online when I am about to leave my house.
      So far what I know is that there are 4 roo merchants at teck whye. NKS restaurant, 4fingers, Harummanis and a chicken/goat butcher stall at the wet market as I have seen roo terminals at their place. Too bad McDonald's is not on deliveroo.
      I will try it out next weekend. Thank you for the tip!

    • @laijinsen2869

      @@grabadventures because you can cancel freely without fearing of account being suspended.
      Don’t click on collect right after you get your order from merchant. Only click on collect after you mount your bicycle. Because any complain for late delivery might get your account suspended. Also you can request for spilt order if order is too heavy or big to fit in your bag.
      The down side is sometimes the order is very slow or pick up order might be at the other end of your zone. Happen quite often at SGBJ. I’m at Westmall but pick is at jurong east

    Deliveroo prioritize motorbike, ebike and then lastly bicycle. So it's harder for cyclists to get orders.

    • @grabadventures
      @grabadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually that makes sense! It seems like roo has a smaller pool of restaurants compared to the other 2 delivery companies so the priority would be to match restaurants to faster mode of transports and a larger zone of delivery. I think I need to get an ebike to maximize earnings on roo 😥 .
